This is ok for you neophytes but this cannot touch the original, which has a much deeper pocket. Also the vocals don't convey the emotions as the Curtis/Carmen Lundy version. Perhaps because it was performed/recorded live.
Some of us know jazz back to the 50s, not neophytes, but like new takes on life. I'm gonna check out Carmen, however. Love the old versions as well. Be well.
