I remember a month ago when Falcons had a shot at winning the NFC South title this upcoming season. Now we have a realistic shot at finishing 1-16 (thank you Panthers) and getting the number 1 pick in 2023. Can't wait for the tank this year!

@@Tray_0123 yes the first time. He’s had a good defense for like 1 or 2 years, he’s always had a bad oline, and in 2016 the Falcons run game wasn’t even close to as good as the current Colts run game.

Dude, Colts fan here and this was all I could hope for given all the options. My hope is he has a few good years left. He's always seemed like a class act. He doesn't make reckless plays in the same vein as Wentz did. And from what I hear he's an excellent locker room leader. Not the answer to the future, but should be able to do everything necessary to make a run in the playoffs! Go Matt Go!

Meanwhile, as a Titans fan, I'm torn. On one hand, this will keep the Colts competitive, and having some healthy competition in the division is good. On the other hand, it makes getting into the playoffs that much harder with yet another talented QB in the AFC.
Also, I'm just disappointed the Colts didn't get Baker, because that would have been hilarious.

Don't worry! The Titans are so good, they easily qualify for the Playoffs behind us as second in the AFC South ;-)

As a Saints fan Matty Ice was always a classy & impressive opponent we had a lot of classic moments against. The Drew/Matt rivalry was alive & exciting for a long time & I'm sorry he didn't get a support cast as good as him more often than not (kinda like our guy)
Brees/Ryan duels were always a lot of fun! End of an era for sure

Seriously, if the the Colts game plan next season is anything other than to feed Taylor, everyone needs to be fired.
Yea lets finally see another RB get as many carries as Derrick Henry did and see how he holds up. Since thats all anyone ever says about Derrick is well this back would have as many yards as him if he got that many carries.
Even if it is the plan everyone needs to be fired. Can't remember the last time a GM got a contract extension for taking a superbowl contender and demoting them to a team who might be lucky to have a winning record in their division and rents QB's by the hour like Ballard has in Indianapolis.

Matt Ryan is one of the best in playaction in NFL history and he's taken his team deep in the playoffs every time he's had a competent RB and no defense. Colts already have more than Matt's had before except weapons, but he'll be fine

I'm a colts fan and I literally ran three laps around my house screaming at the top of my lungs
Now you can see why, people who watched him his entire career, mocked his Matty 'ICE' nickname. The guy is a choke artist and well past his prime. Yes, he'll be an upgrade of Wentz, but even if you get into the playoffs, he's going to make some dumb mistake at the biggest moment of the game.

At this point Tom Brady is pretty much competing with no one in the NFC. There's Arron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, and possibly Kyler Murray and that's about it. I get There's other young QB's in the NFC like Fields and Lance but it seems like all the franchise QB's in the NFC moved to the AFC.

Not unless the Colts get some receivers. They had arguably the worst WR/TE group in the league last season. Their WR's ranked 29th in separation per route run. Their oline was also ranked 30th in pass protection. They have a lot of work to do.

Please tell me Ballard can swing some receiving talent now. (When we had no QB there was no chance to grab anyone, but now, we have a QB, Oline, Defense full of Ball Hawks, and JT... someone has to want to play here right?

As a falcons fan Matt was the biggest reason our offense functioned the last couple of years, it hurts seeing him go and not getting much but to be honest I'm just happy he has a chance to win it all for the first time in years, pulling for ya colts while we rebuild 😁👍

This is the most wild and ridiculous off season I have ever witnessed in my life.
Two franchise QBs traded. One a SB champion the other a former MVP. The most guaranteed money ever to a player who could still see a lengthy suspension. The GOAT retiring then unretiring. And we still haven't even hit the draft yet. Wild and ridiculous feels like an understatement.

And hes done all of this with a Bottom 10 Defence in 13 years per DVOA and a Offensive line Ranked in the bottom half for most of his career plus the fact hes only had a 1000 yard rusher for 5 of his 14 years. 3 of those from Michael turner and the other 2 from a Devonta Freeman who never reached over 1,100 yards. In a nutshell Hes had recievers and thats it. People act like he was given everything but in reality the only 2 years he had a complete team was 2012 and 2016. and he made the NFC Championship and Superbowl those years.

@@peterbentin1395 Yes. I will not lie Some questionable decisions that superbowl. I know Ryan never called them but i think he should learn to speak up and audible since hes always been a listen to coach first kinda guy. He coulda audibled that pass into a run and gotten that FG and won that game.

Thank you!! Someone with a brain. Too many people crapping on Ryan like he is a Bottom 15 QB for his whole career. Dude has had serious coaching problems, a terrible defense and O-Line and virtually no run game to speak of. He’s really impressive for what he’s done despite the team around him.
