    It's not clear how this company measures the success of its diversity efforts. The interview does not seem to follow up with questions about the diversity director's answers, but instead has a set list of questions she does not divert from.

    Finally, the question, but the answer is again based more on talking points, I worry, rather than Google's behavior, practices and results.

    Addressing systemic racism is crucial for our country if for no other reason than the fact that America is getting browner. We'd be shooting ourselves in the foot by baking in even more racism into our technologies, institutions and culture. Although I think simple demographics will ultimately force a solution to this problem, we as a nation can decide what that solution looks like and whether the path there is peaceful and collaborative, or not. One final note: It's scary to think that your fate is sealed by the 8th grade regarding certain career paths. Clearly, it shouldn't be that way.
