Weathershield still has its applications, not least because of dress codes and because some boots are exposed to literal shit and so it's not worth using nicer leathers... but I can see a whole lot of people opting for this instead. Like, instead of getting a weathershield brown turnbull/ridgeline/gamebreaker/tactical/whatever, I would 100% go for one in Shackleton cognac or brown.
Why are these type of leathers not as thick as the work leathers, considering that I wear boots at work far more than around the town Im interested to see how they would hold up in a work environment
@@JJ-zr6fu But it's supposed to be waterproof? Just what exactly are they meant to be for then? If they're waterproof, either you're working in wet environments, or they're meant to be outdoor boots. But outdoor boots need to be rugged too. They're not dress shoes or casual shoes. Those have no real need to be waterproof. You're not meant to use those in rough elements.
Nice looking leather. However can you give more details “water proof” ? My assumption is it has more wax than oils? And we will need to reapply sealer on a regular basis. If so, then it’s water resistant with continued care.

They’re never going to be fully waterproof. The stitching by itself prevents that.
