Currently stacking is just gambling with no payout. You can risk it, but you won't get anything more if you win so many people think stacking is the way to go and then they lose all of their daily progress and they never make any actual money or levels and then they hate the game
@@knyt0 Not everyone who plays gets on for the 2 hours out of 24 in a day that you get extra gold. Also they already have a check for if loot has been on your ship before so they could easily just use the same check for when you sell to raise the price for each consecutive sell. All they have to do is have an invisible timer that resets if you sell loot before it ends and have it just long enough to allow you to gain more from stacking than from doing tons of smaller loot trips. Simple and easy way to get more people to get more loot at once and incentivizes stacking way more than just 2 hours of the day could.
Stacking is always the most fun. Its a lot more fun fighting others knowing you have things to lose rather than fighting knowing that if you sink, nothing changes.
Me and my friends always do that. We stack for like hours and hours, because we dont really need anything anymore. At the end of our session, if we find some nice people, we just give our stack away. We collect the stuff by sinking players of course.. But its fun to have something "one the line". :)
Gooooooood Story. I enjoyed that. Captivating. This is why having loot on your boat is best! Sometimes you lose it all, and sometimes you get it all back! Lets goooo!
Stacking is way better, I used to always play this with my crew until we had to go seperate ways due to life catching up with us. We called this "Ferrarri's or Food Stamps" and we would do exactly as you getting every bit of loot all night until we were finished. Great to see others catching onto the fun of this, have a great day!
The twice daily gold rush encourages stacking because it increases the value of the loot on top of any other bonuses. What i hate is stacks that crash the server when someone is sunk. If you're lagging from the stack its time to turn in to preserve the server.
I once stacked w my friend and then a gally came by and started trash talking instantly. we had like 8 world events on board. sank once and then we sank them 3 times.
Watching this stream live was epic. You got a lot of good laughs out of me after I made you fish 3 splahtails, even the mods were on my side. I love watching your content keep up the good work!
OK I'm still a bit confused on something and would appreciate a clarification. Do the islands recognize the type of ship so say a sloop and assume two people on it, a Brig and assume there are three people on it, a gallon and assume there are four or can the island actually recognize that there is say only one on the Brig as with this video, when determining the difficulty level?
Would be cool if there was more incentive for stacking, so it was lucrative to do so. It's fun to watch streamers stack up loot for the risk/excitement, but for those of us who are just playing the game, there isn't much incentive to keep large piles of loot. That being said, I do enjoy watching the streams with this challenge.
i dont even care when i sink a ship that has mad loot cause i usually dont get to fish it out before another fight comes along and all the treasure sinks while we fight
Even tho i like your Videos very much i gotta say that i did not think that this game still has Players. Havent Played in Months, is it still infested with Hackers and very very mad kids with way to much time on their hands?
Yeah i personaly avoid practice of stacking , maybe cause i play solo all the time , still i never found it ultra apealing to sink hours worth of progress just cause other side was bored or lazy
Stacking is gambling if you really want to gamble with no payout stacking's great you can collect tons and tons of stuff and bet all of it on your skill. If you win. You don't get any extra payout. You just keep what you already have but if you lose you lose everything Gambling's fine do that if you want. Lots of people enjoy it, but if you go by one simple rule, you won't have a problem with gambling. If you don't have it to burn, then you don't have it to gamble. If it's not something you're willing to just throw away and walk away from and not even think twice about it, then you don't have it to gamble with
I really can't get myself to the idea that stacking is fun and enjoyable in any way. It feels mandatory to me to have an empty ship if im not leveling an emissary. Really dont want want to have effectively wasted time when im sunk.
It's more so for people who are more interested in having natural PvP interactions in Adventure than it is for people who are trying to focus PvE content, commendations, and earn money. That said this game is loaded with bloodthirsty players who will chase you to the ends of the earth even if you don't have any loot at all on your boat. Some people just like to bully weaker players after they've lost for the 15th time in a row in Hourglass, even if there is nothing to gain from it.
Yep and that one guy they left behind didn’t notice when his situation was evidently irreversible.. he should of communicated needing help and immediately dropped sails and harpooned himself out.
"in just a few short minutes, we lost all of our treasure" this is what happenes when you stack loot. there is zero benefit to stacking loot. all risk, no reward. the only time you want to stack loot is if youre a content creator, or a streamer trying to make content.
Honestly though i've joined sea of thieves discord crews where we just sunk people took their treasures and went around killing with all the loot still on our boat cause it's alot more fun when you have much to lose, i do get that people that are new or just farm pve might not want to do that but eventually you get maxed out in reps and the money doesn't mean shit for real so don't even care if i get any loot at that point.

Sea of Thieves is BETTER when you Make stuff up, Don't give a damn and Get a server of relatively equal skilled players equally invested in your loot. Take any of these three away and the game becomes either mundane, infuriating or a combination of both.
As someone who just started playing a month ago I absolutely love getting EZ'd by hardcore players who have played for 3-5 years and live for the Hourglass. I also really love it when they are willing to chase me across the entire map when I have no loot on me and no desire to fight them while I'm solo.
You missed the point of the video. It doesn't matter if you're fully leveled. The point is that stacking causes more extreme, high stakes situations, thus making it more fun. If you're the kind of person that can't have fun when they lose loot, then being fully leveled likely won't change that. That just means you need to work on not feeling down from losing your loot.
@@ardynizunia9709 For me this all depends on whether or not I'm playing solo or with friends. Getting sunk with loot on my boat then really bothers me as it's just a giant waste of time. However, when playing with friends, we could have 500k worth of loot on our boat and sink and I don't mind.
