Great review and positive experience for Qatari’s and residences . They’ve been waiting for the last 10 years someone to report unbiased report . It’s small country but with lots efforts. they put forward drastic changes in labour reforms & I believe they’ll keep learning and grow faster.
welcome to Qatar friend, appreciate that your keeping an open mind epically coming from the other side of the world. as to answer your question about what people from Qatar are called its "Qatari's", and the reason you don't see us on the road its because we either busy at work or its way too hot outside to around that time, we usually go out after 3 pm. suggestion for places to visit: *Katara is close to you and you will be having a blast there for your Vlog. *pearl Qatar is another place that is just gorgeous. (fun fact the only place in Qatar that foreigners can own an apartment or a land), also close to where you are. *Souq waqif, if your into the old style of living and buidling will be a good option too. *Msheireb Downtown, one of the newest area and modernized. thank you again, cheers.
Thank you for the welcoming to Qatar Dave, I really appreciate it! Also, thanks for answering the questions I was wondering - that helps a lot! Great recommendations, I will be filming all of those places really soon!
Just discovered your channel. Love your vlogging style dude. Don’t become like all the other channels where they all started out with this style of vlogging, blowing up, and then end up focusing to much on production fancy edits, losing that raw authenticity in the process. The way you’re doing it now is just perfect 👍🏻
Thank you so much, I really appreciate this comment! It’s my focus to stay raw, I enjoy the process of vlogging way more. I actually started out opposite, if you look at my first 200 videos I focused on the production and fancy edits then I stopped last year and went to raw and find so much more enjoyment in it!
This is nice, I don't think we would have seen the details in the buildings if it wasn't for you taking a walk. I'm middle eastern but never been there and had no idea how beautiful this place is.
hopefully you will enjoy your stay in Qatar. yeah it is pretty hot this time of the year probably in two weeks from now the weather will get better, Qatar is a night country you should try to go out after 5 am
You need comfortable cushioned sandals or slip on's for walking Mac. Those blisters are terribly painful. The new shoes are only good for outings where you don't need to walk much.
Well done walking in that heat and humidity! Must have caught it on a good day. Mo way I could walk to Al-Bidda park without drinking continuously and sweating profusely!
Welcome to Qatar 🇶🇦 I have a perfect vlog plan , to go all the 7 stadium’s for the World Cup within a day , it will take 4 hours to reach all the stadiums 👏🏻🔥 if you agree to do that let’s do it together with my car i will pick up u from the hotel
I little known photo opportunity remeniscent of Dubai is at the Doha Tower. There is a wall of green at the entrance down the steps with "Burj Doha" on it in big letters. I see tourists there taking pics all the time. Have one at the Burj Al Arab and one at the Burj Doha! ;0) After that have a walk round the ground floor of the building admiring the solid stainless and concrete construction. It is cloaked in a stainless steel faraday cage. Stop for a bite to eat or coffee at the twisted olive or one of the resturants on the ground floor. 😎Nice😎
I am from qatar! thank you so much for vloging your experience and showing people how beautiful my country is. Also I hope everyone get to visit one day and see how safe it is!
oh yea, it will definitely be safe when we go. I'm going to the world cup and every world cup that I go to always has military, police, security and traffic officers in almost every intersection. But the problem is that qatar only has 2.8 million people and 1.2 million spectators are going.
It's beautiful visually, I'm Canadian and when I visited Qatar last december I was disappointed and I didn't like the experience at all, hot weather, no vibe, no identity, empty, artificial, copying all other styles...rare locals appearance only workers from other countries... I prefer Morocco or Egypt and Jordan as an Arabic and Middle Eastern experience, they are richer culturally, identical, dynamic and vibrant with soul.
I live in qatar and You can find Qataris at pearl city or Msheireb Downtown but not at noon time but at evening or night times and the whole corniche area is renovated
I saw Dubai turned from dusty desert to high-rise skyline and green n clean same for Qatar just an era back it was very small country with small airport with few airlines to land there and now look at Qatar/Doha absolutely Modern with huge skyline best time to enjoy these middle Eastern countries are evening coz days are very hot for walk, enjoy FIFA world cup Regards from Pakistan
That shoes part pretty accurate with my flip flops in dubai at same time as you and I'm walking like you roaming around. My flip flops started eating my skin 😐
It’s always like that because it’s hot during the day. Comes more Alive at night the Souq Waqif is hoping at night until late. Not in lockdown you can go anywhere with your Ehtraz pass app.
Am so impressed with all these beautiful buildings... And the organization especially for the world cup .... So cool .. About the weather (90f = 32c) maybe wearing a hat ease the sun heat a bit .. Similar to CA .. If you want to name one local person you say Qatari .. For plural.. Many locals you say 'Qatariyeen' the 'yeen' is always at the end for plural of any nationality in Arabic .. For example, 'Lebnaniyeen' ... Etc. ... The umbrella tunnel looks great & Awesome metro sys.. Loved your tour. Mac .... hope you're feet are better. ... Pass my love to Sweetie Mabelle ❤❤🥰🥰
the "park" is actually a pedestrian and cyclists underpasses there are 5 of them along the corniche so you can cross the road safely. and that sighn/ statue of the the oryx animal is actually was for the asian games in Qatar back in 2006 so its been there for almost 16 years now not new hehe but well maintained the umbrella tunnel leads you to the metro station also you didn't need to cross the road to pull men, you should have used the underpass from the metro station itself. looking forward to your thirds video

the kinda human interactions, funny encounters and the unique experiences that you used to have in countries like Sri lanka, India , Pakistan is definitely unmatchable... the way you used to talk to locals and those exciting ppl trying to be in your vlogs is something that is missing in these modern countries vlogs.... !!!!! who else agrees? by the way, big fan Mac your amazing !!
I completely agree! Those countries have such a unique experience they provide when it comes to interaction with the locals that it can be hard to match! Hopefully we will get some nice interactions during this series
Doha is an ordinary city. These cities you mention locals have nothing to do but bumping into other La vlogging. If you ever visit any state in the states Chicago, NY, Miami you wouldn’t have a weird interaction with the locals like you do in any underdeveloped countries.
Definitely ...The Beautiful GAME is gonna be hosted in a Beautiful country - Cant wait for the World Cup to kick off ... its gonna be a great tournament, I hope it ignites a grass roots movement in the Middleast and further afield ..IE Pakistan... Thank you for clarification!
Yea, you have to 100% go to Doha festival City, Place Vendome, and Some tourist spots in qatar
U saw 8.. thats ur balance sir. Every tap 2 riyals only on any destination. Very convenient
