This important interview by Gabriel Groisman of the new Israeli ambassador to the U.S. was my first introduction to Dr. Yechiel Leiter. He is both physically, mentally and intellectually impressive with a sound world view and agenda for the bright future of all peoples of goodwill. He is a perfect activistic intermediary between P.M.Netanyahu and Pres.-elect Trump. A brilliant appointment by our Churchillian leader.

“We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere. When human lives are endangered, when human dignity is in jeopardy, national borders and sensitivities become irrelevant. Wherever men and women are persecuted because of their race, religion, or political views, that place must - at that moment - become the center of the universe.”

You have mentioned many facts that the western people weather in in Europe or in North America are not considering while raising thier children about just leaving thier kids very much under the falls and misleading slogans of the far left ignoring the Which calls for individualism, selfishness, self-love, evasion of responsibility towards the family, encouragement of non-childbearing and abortion, confusion of people’s gender identity, and tolerance of violence based on extremist religious ideologies for fear of being labeled as Islamophobic and under the pretext of political correctness.

Who were/are the indigenous people of the territory formerly known as the Mandate of Palestine?
The UN Factsheet titled “Who are Indigenous Peoples?”, is the best description we have of what constitutes an indigenous people. It lays out the characteristics that should be used to identify indigeneity. If we apply these characteristics to the Jews who in inhabited the Ottoman territory -- that came to be known as the Mandate of Palestine in September 1923 -- there is no doubt that they were and remain the indigenous people of what became the Mandate of Palestine, not the Muslim Arab inhabitants who had been the dominant people/citizens of the Ottoman Empire.
    Definition
The UN Factsheet states that, “[i]ndigenous people practice unique traditions, and retain social, cultural, economic and political characteristics that are distinct from those of the dominant societies in which they live.” In 1923, the Jews matched all of these criteria. The Muslim Arabs did not. Indeed, they were the dominant society. Their traditions, social, cultural, economic and political characteristics were tied to their identity as part of the Ottoman Empire in the region of Syria, specifically the Beirut Vilayet and Mutasarrifate of Jerusalem.
The factsheet further states, “[Indigenous people] are the descendants of those who inhabited a country or a geographical region at the time when people of different cultures or ethnic origins arrived and have retained distinct characteristics which are clearly different from those of other segments of the national populations.” The Jews of 1923 matched all of these criteria while the Muslim Arabs did not as they were “the people of different cultures or ethnic origins” that arrived in the region. “The new arrivals [Muslim Arabs] later became dominant through conquest, occupation, settlement or other means.” The Muslim Arabs conquered the area from the Byzantine Empire in the Seventh Century (634-636 AD) and claimed it as a province of the Rashidun Caliphate, succeeded by the Umayyad Caliphate in 661 AD. Indeed, up until 1923, when the Mandate was set aside by the League of Nations for the establishment of a national home for the Jewish people, the land had for almost 1800 years always been a small part of a wider region within an even wider empire. The last people to have a state or kingdom on the territory were the Jews, who predominated there for over 1400 years, during which they established three Jewish kingdoms (11th to 6th centuries BC), the Hasmonean Dynasty (140-37 BC), and the Bar Kochba Revolt’s independent provisional state (132-135 AD) while, in between, successive empires came and went including the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks and Romans.
The UN Factsheet then states that, “[c]onsidering the diversity of indigenous peoples, an official definition of “indigenous” has not been adopted by any UN-system body. Instead, the system has developed a modern understanding of this term based on the following [characteristics]:” (noting in parenthesis () if the Jews pass or fail these requirements in 1923, and doing the same for Muslim Arabs in brackets [])
    • Self- identification as indigenous peoples at the individual level and accepted by the community as such. (pass) [fail]
    • Historical continuity with pre-colonial and/or pre-settler societies. (pass) [fail]
    • Strong link to territories and surrounding natural resources. (pass) [pass]
    • Distinct social, economic or political systems. (pass) [fail]
    • Distinct language, culture and beliefs. (pass) [fail]
    • Form non-dominant groups of society. (pass) [fail]
    • Resolve to maintain and reproduce their ancestral environments and systems as distinctive peoples and communities. (pass) [fail]
    Culture and Knowledge
“Indigenous peoples are the holders of unique languages, knowledge systems and beliefs and possess invaluable knowledge of practices for the sustainable management of natural resources.” The Jews matched these characteristics in 1923, the Arab Muslims did not. “[Indigenous peoples] have a special relation to and use of their traditional land.” The Jews had this traditional relationship with and use of the land, the Muslim Arabs did not. “[Indigenous peoples’] ancestral land has a fundamental importance for their collective physical and cultural survival as peoples.” For the Jews this was and is true, for Muslim Arabs it was and is not true. Modern Zionism was/is a nationalist movement designed to rescue the Jews of Europe (physically and culturally) from the rise of antisemitism and pogroms in Europe and the impending tragedy that its founders foresaw, and which materialized, in the advent of the Holocaust. Zionism was never a colonial enterprise. “Indigenous peoples hold their own diverse concepts of development, based on their traditional values, visions, needs and priorities.” The Jews matched this characterization in 1923, the Muslim Arabs of the Ottoman Empire did not.
    Political Participation
“Indigenous peoples often have much in common with other neglected segments of societies, i.e. lack of political representation and participation, economic marginalization and poverty, lack of access to social services and discrimination.” The Jewish dhimmis of the Ottoman Empire matched this description, the Muslim Arabs as full citizens of the Ottoman Empire did not. “Despite their cultural differences, the diverse indigenous peoples share common problems also related to the protection of their rights. They strive for recognition of their identities, their ways of life and their right to traditional lands, territories and natural resources.” The Jews matched this description, the Muslim Arabs did not.
    In Conclusion
The territory of the Mandate of Palestine was never a “corridor” for the Jews or just another province or district within a wider Jewish Empire. It was always and still is, the land that they believed God had bequeathed to their forefather Abraham and his descendants, passing through Isaac to Jacob, and then to his descendants, the people of Israel/Jews. To ratify this, the bible notes that Abraham contracted for its purchase with Ephron the Hittite for 400 shekels of silver. Moses led the Jews back there after their sojourn in Egypt, nowhere else, where they established two kingdoms and a dominant presence for some 1400 years. The Jews have had a continuous presence there ever since, albeit a tiny presence after they were mostly exiled and persecuted and/or subjugated to second-class status in the land by a succession of conquering civilizations and empires including Islam and the Ottomans. In 1923, Jews were the only people who had the characteristics required to claim indigeneity, and they still are the only people who have these characteristics. Their connection to the specific territory of Israel is a central pillar of their identity. The same cannot be claimed for the deceitfully branded “Palestinian Arabs”, not even remotely.

I am always praying for you Israel and for the peace of Jerusalem: Psalm 122:6 “May they prosper who love you. 7May there be peace within your walls, and prosperity inside your fortresses.” 🇮🇱 🇮🇱 🇮🇱
There will be peace when the Prince of Peace comes.
Isaiah 9:6-7 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.🫒

Without יהוה YaHUaH Israel would have been a part of history not a part of The Now. Those who gave their lives in the fight against her enemies, may their memory be a blessing.
King David wrote about this in Psalm 124 and is summed up in Deuteronomy 32:30-35, Praise YaH!

@@Foster-rv6ty Well said and a good point, Jeremiah 30 reveals a lot concerning Israel especially verse 24. Obadiah is an interesting parallel concerning resent events.

As an American Christian who loves Israel my biggest concern is, the elephant in the room, Israel's internal political struggle! Israel needs to reform the out of control supreme court and radical leftist in their government. Their is plenty of legitimate concern and blame to hand out to America and Europe, but get your own house in order first. May God Bless Israel

The title is misleading. It's mostly about the Ambassador's son, who died in the IDF's invasion of HAMAS' Gaza.

-Colonial European state is how early Zionists saw the establishment of Israel - Vladimir Jabotinsky - "Colonialism is an adventure" 'Hertzl realized that only by leaving German soil and founding a Jewish state would he ever be truly German' "I am a German speaking Jew from Hungary and never can be anything but a German" Hertzl (Daniel Boyarin). Further confessed in his diary - Hertzl - "Through Zionism it will again become possible for Jews to love this Germany, to which our hearts have been attached despite everything" Hertzl envisaged Israel as a "bulwark to protect Europe from Asia, as an outpost of civilization (European) against barbarism (Asia) and retain a connection with all of Europe" Hertzl - Bulwark against Asia: Zionist Exclusivism and Palestinian Responses - Nora Scholtes
