You laughed when you brought up Martin doing the quick stop drill. Feel like you saw the video where he broke a driver shaft doing the drill and it was first thing that came to my mind.
Tip 3…. Oh baby… incredible head speed… but risk of tendon rip on epicondyles. So not too many reps or you will significantly risk golfer or tennis elbow… which is a season wrecker. Been there. 😰
Trying all tips, though i slow down back turn to keep upper body in place, but larger hip turns and faster hands, now i have to try and speed train with stopping hands fast. I will use an old shaft with no head on and a mirror to practice this. I have to be honest i am not getting younger, but faster in clubhead speed and ball speed, went from 129-131 mph ballspeed to 140-144 by doing these drills...except slowing down backswing else i pull drives right or slice the balls to high rough :) Love these tips, makes golf easier to carry 25 yards longer....
Great drills to practice at the range. Any tips for somebody who has restricted neck movement following cancer. Club head speed was reduced by 25%, but it has improved but still 10% down after 5 years.
In fact, Jack said when he really wanted to hit it extra long he would “slow” down his backswing. But I am sure all these UA-cam experts know more than Jack:)
All good stuff and (some of it) might be achievable without killing myself.... Now I've said that... When will we see you outside on an actual golf course actually playing actual golf again? Summer isn't summer without some Muppet Golf...🫤
From my experience if you can’t swing close to 90-95 mph with your feet together, you simply don’t have the swing speed genetics to get to 100-105 mph. For example, not everyone can throw a baseball 95-100 mph. These are elite athletes with lots of fast twitch muscle. Learn to hit your driver straight (easy with a few lessons) and focus on your chipping and putting and you will be shooting in the mid 70s. Fun golf!
Golf has so many contradictions. I've heard other coaches say do the complete opposite.

That’s a different drill. That’s a pump drill where you stop half way down. I giggled because he is an absolute beast of a man 💪💪💪
@@CoachLockeyno doubt about that. Would want Martin pissed off and having to fight him. Dude is like the incredible hulk of golf 😂

A lovely boy, with lovely tips!
Number 3 is a tricky one!
I'll try these on the driving range... with old clubs 😆
Thank you for this.
IMO the swing is one motion to speed up that club.
Oh yes please!!! I’m all for that smash! Great stuff as always Coach!
These are great ideas that I haven't tried before!
I am going to try these at the range next time to get over my 155 ball speed!
Thanks Coach!!
Go for it! Boooom
Is there a concern about going back to far when speed swinging? Past parallel..
Nope
Absolutely loving the content as a returning golfer trying to get my swing dialled in again 👌🏼
Thank you
Very welcome 🤗
I'll try this down the range on my next session!
Go for it #BombBalls
Very helpful I will persist
Don't recall Jack Nicklaus having a fast backswing.
Ok 👍

Can everyone learn to hit it 100mph? Where does physical ability start and finish?
I would say a lot of golfer can reach 100mph. Second question I don’t have the answer too
@@CoachLockey Guess I'm in the minority then 😢

Was gonna ask the same question? I miss the lads doing videos together - was the best on UA-cam by a mile.

Oh, and with that last tip, make sure your grips are good or you brain someone as the club flies out of your hands.... 😁
Very true! 😂
54 years old 106 mph 💪
Boooom
64 years old with 90 mph swing speed and a 7.2 handicap index. Distance is not that important but it does help:)
Nice tips Matt!
Glad you like them! 😬
