It is a very nice Uli solo, and - you know that already - and I love the Uli era very, very much!!
Hard to decide, which one was the best studio album, but the number one was surely Tokyo Tapes, I think that is still one of the best live albums of all time.
Among with Live after Death, Made in Japan, Alchemy (Dire Straits' best album) or Pink Floyd's Live in Pompey. Surely there are much more ( No sleep 'till Hammersmith fe), but these are my favs in rock.

Hi, my favorite from this era are probably Fly to the Rainbow and Talen by Force. Btw I have recorded several Uli solos last week (and some from songs that I call "hidden gems" as they've never been played live or almost never), so I hope this will compensate the Marillion solso to come 🤣

Real hard rock mixed with melancholic, pshichodelic songs.
They were "In search of the right way of music"🤩
And then Taken by Force.
No doubt, the best studio album of them.
All time favorite.
Tho I love soooo many songs from In Trance and Virgin Killers too.

Thanks for the lesson! By the way, StephLeGratteux - who is your favorite Scorpions guitarist? Micheal Schenker, Uli Roth, or Matthias Jabs?
Aside from Lonesome Crow which is never really their best album, Michael has never been a member of the band, just a guest on a few songs of Lovedrive, so I can't compare him with the other.
Matthias is clearly not my favorite.
So Uli is my favorite lead guitarist in the band. As I said on another comment, he can play rhythm guitar like Hendrix, he can shred but always create tasty melodies. And I love his bends too, very tasty and crazy sometimes.
But Rudolf IS Scorpions, and he's also one of the most inspired rhythm guitarist in rock history. Even if his technique is not the best, the few solos he playes are vary inspiring too.
