I see a lot of hispanics commenting they don't understand half the song and that bad bunny is some sort of "latin mumble rapper"... Look it's not that he's mumbling it's that he sings with a heavy puertorrican accent and useas a lot of island slang (estamos lo pronuncia como "tamo", "to"=todo, "ta"=esta). And while you could argue that that's what mumble rapping is (shortening of words, dragging out sounds or slurring words) I think it's more like saying a jamaican rapper is a mumble rapper just because he sings/raps with a heavy accent. I can guarantee you any puertorrican from the island or raised around other puertorricans probably understands the whole song, and if they've heard the rest of his music then they could also atest he is more of a lyrical rapper. Anthony Tavara creo que el mensaje de la canción es más una provocación a los altos cargos del gobierno. Habla de Trump, presidente de Puerto Rico. Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde el huracán y sigue negociando. Lo que dice Bad Bunny es: qué tiene que negociar? Miles de personas perdieron la vida, miles de familias rotas, casas destruidas, etc. Con la vida humana no se negocia.
Con esto vengo a decir que el “estamos bien” no significa otra cosa que: la gente puertorriqueña sabemos cuidar de nuestra gente y de nosotros mismos. No necesitamos “negociar” nada porque con nuestra humildad nos vale mierda la cantidad de dinero que debamos invertir con tal de devolverle la paz a Puerto Rico.

I moved to PR in 2016 and lived through one of the toughest and tragic times of my life Hurricane Maria in 2017 . We lived in a wood home where the roof was about to come off. I had 3 kids and hubby with me at the time we hid in the bathroom praying. 32 hours later we were able to step outside and see the affect. Devestaion everywhere , no water , no power and yet PR nation helped each other stood together. We were ok thanks to God. Yet still PR trying to fully stand but with smile. I love you PR !
