Learn to Make Macramé Hoop Earrings | Must Have Wardrobe Staple

I’m so excited to teach you how to make these gorgeous macramé hoop earrings! Hoop earrings are a staple in any jewelry addict’s collection. The technique that I’m showing you can be made into any size hoop you desire. Mine turned out to be on the larger side; more of statement earrings at 2 inches wide.
The supplies that you will need are:
- Wire - I like to make mine in 16 gauge wire. I used brass but please use whatever is available to you. The ear wire is made of 20 gauge wire that is a bit softer to work with.
- Chasing hammer and steel bench block
- Ruler
- Wire wrapping tools: chain nose pliers, needle nose pliers, wire cutter, wire straightener, multi size wire loop plier.
- Macrame board, t-pins
- Waxed polyester. I like polyester cord from Malka:

- Scissors
- Lighter
- Focal bead - I used bicone beads from Eureka Crystal Beads

If you are new to wire work, keep practicing!!!! I’m not perfect yet either, so just enjoy the process and each pair you make you will perfect the process and quality of earrings.

I've been a jewelry maker for years, but not with macrame. Do you have a video or tutorial that explains verbally what you are doing or one that is slower and easier to follow? I love these earrings and would love to give it a try, but I don't understand how you're tying the knots. Thanks so much!
