Night Beds absolutely destroyed it. Ever since the release of their new album Ivywild I've been dying to hear them live and I was certainly not disappointed. If this is what their Country Sleep sound died for then I am 100% okay with it. Epic performance, come on down to California sometime.
...just grabbed Abe's new album (younger Yellen bro here) "You were made for love" and it's gorgeous and sad yet uplifting and beautiful; even if you aren't religious I'd check it out. Can't wait for Night Beds tour, please come to DC!
I just hope their music will never be played on the radio. I would hate for a group like them to end up in mainstream music. Their so different and deserve to be searched for!
+Paul Walt I think he's done with / nearly has broken up the band. I read it in the NPR review of Ivywild www.npr.org/2015/07/29/425893193/first-listen-night-beds-ivywild
I really don’t know. When Ivywild came out it was panned by a lot of reviewers and I feel like it definitely took the wind out of their sails. I think we’re going to look at these guys like Van Gogh: way ahead of their time and so unbelievably talented but sadly overlooked until it was too late. Also very handsome.
+ThinAir11 I would not say painful, buy yeah I might see what´s your point , they gave us "Country Sleep" and then this (Which I happen to enjoy the same as Country Sleep). So, the way I see it "different" is the word to define "Ylviwild" I think we all were expecting some extension of the previous album or something related to " Every fire, every joy" but when the Yellen brothers came with this somehow we felt "disappointed" But, I think we have to appreciate more than is to see, the album is great and full of a weirdness unique in every note and in Winston´s voice. But, every opinion is valuable.
Funny how subjective music can be. I like a couple tracks off of Country Sleep but as a whole, not that into it. But this album has been on repeat for me since it came out, and I think this performance was so unique and in-its-element. I can really see and hear really an artistic voice coming into focus with these guys. Love it
Country Sleep and Ivywild are completely different sounds but somehow they both are amazing
It’s the beauty of a talented songwriter taking some chances with their music
So ahead of its time. Need them to come back with another album.
Where the hell did this guy go. He's a musical genius
He’s back
Absolutely in love with Night Beds couldn't get enough then, need them even more now!

I've been getting into Ivywild more, but did he really just ditch his sweet ass band? Or are they just taking a break. That's what I don't get...

Amazing. Cool that they're from Colo!
desearía ser ese micrófono! amooo night beds
Did they quit after this album because it's too difficult to make a living from music even as incredibly handsome, talented brothers?

Also very handsome.
Nope. Check out Abe Yellen's pseudonym project called James River. Winston decided to take a break from music.
Props for paying respect to J Dilla. That dude was the Clapton, or Hendrix, or whatever of hip-hop.
This is fire.
i fell in luv
what happened to his band?
bro where tf is night beds 2023????
nothing like negating the uniqueness of an incredible voice with the ever droll ubiquity of auto-tune.
Magnífic ❤🤔
Отличные ! wonderful
eve a. is great (#:
Big fan of both albums, big fan of their new music....
not a big fan of his hand gestures.
he's feeling the music...alot of great artist have their ways

Yellen's voice is gold, and this is powerful music, but the vox are drowning in a reverb muddle.
Look at him play those knobs

Bummer. I can appreciate going another direction but this just doesn't work. Almost painful to watch.
+ThinAir11 I love them before, but i think i love them more now. There are so many gems on Ivywild.
