Many times when you are black, non-typical, & rare, but uniquely great, it takes a while for your own to really fully appreciate you. One of the reasons this woman went to find her place and this means many times crossing over to another culture and race, is to get the REAL appreciation that she should have long gotten. Go where you fit in and she crosses all boundaries for greatness has no limitations. She is pure Rare RAW talent that's uncomparable.

She paved the way for so many women in Rock and Roll. Look at all the women in Rock that came after her and how they perform and you'll see what I mean. That wildness, that rawness, that energy, and that grit. Tina was a revolutionary.

Lady Vegan she said many times she didn’t wanna leave her kids in that situation with an abusive father at least she could monitor and kinda help them when she was around and let’s not forget it wasn’t like that in the beginning Tina was a single black mother in the 50’s that Ike rescued so maybe Tina wanted to repay him and a lot even happened that we don’t know about such as Tina fighting Ike’s other mistresses and actually dumbass Tina Turner is still her stage name but legally her documents say anna mae bullock

I grew up in St. Louis when Ike and Tina were reigning at the Club Imperial and the owner George Edick would drive me home when I'd do baby-sitting jobs. Tina then is the same person as Tina now. Intelligent, poised, a real Lady with a capital L, very focused and very kind. The woman on stage was and is a brilliantly created character. Even when Tina went solo and couldn't get a hit for love nor money I think everyone knew she would eventually become the biggest star in show business.

Watching this really makes you realize what a disgrace all of these talentless, lipsyncing pop artists are today. THIS was when artist were required to have raw TALENT. They just don't make them like Tina anymore. I suppose Beyonce would be the exception. She is one of the most dynamic performers of today, especially because she can actually sing and dance at the same time. Very few have been able to master that since Tina.

I grew up in St. Louis the same time as Tina and we graduated from high school at the same time. Two years after graduation she already was an accomplished star. She and Ike performed in a club a short drive from my family's house. Ike came up the brilliant character of Tina, the Ikettes and the whole review concept of the act. As bombastic as the act was off stage both of them were quiet and thoughtful individuals, very focused on their work and very bright. A lot of people who followed them in St. Louis felt it was inevitable Tina would go solo and became a great star.

I really think don't she would have become the star she is today without him or anybody else. I also think a lot of her raw energy came from their turbulent relationship. I'm thankful she was finally able to leave him but I'm also thankful for the music they created together.
