Played on and off for 20 years. Just started on Outlands a week ago and having a blast! Thanks for the Video. The supportive Community / WiKi and easy acces to decent scripts are really cool.
Could you do a video explaining different materials like ores Word ect their bonuses, other in game systems there are 4 now progresion systems i believe
@@LostCrumpetA lot of them are new PKs. It's easier to kill other new players when you have no idea what you are doing. I live closeby and sometime come to check if there are PKs pestering noobs. I find they're not that great, it's truly a new player dungeon, for Pvmers and Pks alike lol. Some do it for the "serial killer" achievement. That is also why they kill people macroing at Prev gate.
I've not really changed much in the Outlands settings, BUT, one thing I did miss for months was the FPS setting in the 'Video' section of options. I have mine set to 120.
For me this game would be better if they provided instant respawn and restock (rather than needing storage shelves, pack horse and a lot of time to find all the items needed to stock your shelf). The amount of times ive died on this game and just not logged in again for months purely to avoid the tedious dieing process. Its even worse for new players who dont own a shelf and then have to contend with the wait on NPCs who are almost always out of reagents etc. It's such a hard sell to a new player and probably why this game peaks at just c.2500 players at any one time.
I think the game peaks at 2,500 players as it's 27 years old :S I'm personally just used to the respawn system now, so it's hard for me to really have that new player feeling anymore. I can totally see why it would be frustrating though.
you cannot do anything in that server, as a noob to this mecanic, i got killed by a kid, he took my weapon and my bandies.. those kids brake the game and this is why nobody want to join that shitty server

Was expecting some chill planting of seeds and watering can content, but here we are... This farming was better!

You're awesome, man. Love these videos!
Thank you!
Your videos have given me a deep and painful nostalgia as someone who played The Second Age as a child but has never touched UO since, haha
haha amazing! The Second Age is when I started, and then off again/on again, im still here 27 years later :S
My dude, you are very creative, great video :)
Thank you Mauricio! Appreciate you watching/commenting.

i had trouble running the game
You'll need to post more detail if you want help. Would suggest hitting up the discord if you're actually after assistance.
Aye, as @xasx999 says, the Discord community is the place to go!
How can I play UO in 2024?
I play on the Outlands Shard. It's totally free; uooutlands.com.
Currently 3k active players online at one time, with a peek of 5k a few months ago

i looooooove outlands SO much. Buuuuut. The PKs grinding new player zones make it so much unfun to start somethign new :(
Aye, that said, I spent a lot of time in Sanctuary Dungeon this week, and I must admit, I was surprised with how chill it was!
@@LostCrumpet they should buff loot to like 75% tho if you ask me. Still "not worth"
But 50% is so harsh
