I wouldn’t have considered that particular advantage to having a burner on the side instead of the back. Makes a lot of sense and is definitely something I will consider when pulling the trigger on an oven!
Thanks for watching Evan, yes the burner and or fire on the side is a much better design and allows you to see if you are over cooking at any point! and it allows the fire to roll over the top and not out the door!
Great review and pizza looks great ! Doesn't seem like the awesome tank . That the Roccbox is . Have a great trip 🍕🔥
Thanks 👍
Those pizzas look delicious!
Thanks for watching and letting me know 👍🏼😎🍕🔥
Thank you. This is a review I had been waiting for. I have the same thoughts as you this oven is a little overpriced for its size. If they have a good black Friday sale I may pick it up since I really like the way it looks. However, I also just ordered the Pizza Party Emozione oven so not sure I need another pizza oven right now 😅.
Thanks so much for watching Nina! Yes now you will be like me, Pizza Ovens everywhere :) Yes i think it will come down to the style and look of the oven, some people will just prefer the look for their patios, it's a nice looking oven and very well built.
Great video as always! Pizza oven looks like it behaves well, only downside is that it is a bit too pricey. Also, the pizza looked good, one thing though is that you forgot to show us the bottom of the pizza lol.
Good call, hard to remember everything when making these videos :) I agree for the $ it really needed to be a bit bigger!
I love your wooden prep table that you’re making the pizzas on! I need something like that. Is that a custom build, DIY, or did you purchase it somewhere?
I made it! It's very nice to use and makes clean up so much easier
Thanks for the review. I went with the dome but this looks like a good option too. Have you tried it with wood?
Not yet! I have found that all of my other small ovens can use wood and you can make pizzas but they are not great at it, it ends up being way to much work for what it's worth, if you making 1 or 2 pizzas it's ok but anymore than that it's much better to stick with gas for any oven smaller than the Dome.
Great down to earth review. Never would I ever buy this oven. Too many design flaws.
Thanks for watching! I agree, for the money there are a lot of better options!
Mimiuo makes a 25” gas oven with knobs in the front and U shaped burners inside the oven …. Seems like a nice oven but I don’t see many reviews on it
Thank you so much for watching. I would avoid the Mimiuo oven and any / all of the ovens like it. They are very cheap copies of ovens for sale on Amazon that are very poor quality. The best small home pizza ovens for me are 1. The Gozney Roccbox, 2. Pizza Party Ardore and 3. Ooni Koda 16 all three of these ovens are great options for a first oven.
@@HarplandProductions I believe it. The roccbox has a Father’s Day 100 off sale. So can pick it up at 400

Can I use pok pok charcoal or Thane for a longer burn?
Hello Lisa, Thanks for watching, If you are in the market for a small home pizza oven that can use both wood, charcoal and gas i would suggest looking at an Ooni ove the Pi oven. It can make a nice pizza but for the price the Ooni Karu 12 it's probably the best small oven that can use Charcoal and you can also order a gas burner attachment, it's better and cheaper than the Solo Pi oven.
Here's a link to the oven to check out.

How do you clean the stones?
First step is to crank the heat up to high and just let it burn off for 30-60 minutes, you can also use the front edge of the launch / placement peel to gently scrape off any burnt cheese / flour. if you have a lot of cheese and flour on your stone your probaly using to much cheese making the dough to wet / heavy and if there is too much flour consider using a slotted aluminum peel so the excess flour falls off before you launch it
The dough was stuck to the peel and all toppings went flying off onto the stone. Then the dough just balled up. We have come to the conclusion that there was not enough flower used.
Nice video but I wish anyone who makes videos in which they make pizzas would show the UNDERCRUST as well. It's such a key component of the pizza, especially if the video is showcasing a home outdoor oven for Neapolitan pizzas.
So this message goes out to anyone making [Neapolitan] pizza videos: PLEASE SHOW THE UNDERCRUST/BOTTOM AS WELL.
Good point! I am sure i had a shot of the bottom, I typically show it at the end. must have accidentally cut it out. Thanks for watching!
How long did it take to get to 799°
Less than 20 minutes
@@HarplandProductions I have a roccbox so I probably would want to replace that ...but its food to see others out there
@Harpland Productions New subscriber. Watched a lot of your Dome videos and Rocbox. How long does the Dome take to get to like 850 - 900 degrees? Would it heat much faster with the front door on the dome? Have you tried that yet? Thanks
@@fusfea yes I would keep your roccbox
@@mikeschmitt7616 hello Mike, thanks for watching and welcome to the channel. I typically give my dome 45 min to 1 hour to heat up! And yes, using the door, does speed it up some but you’re still looking at about 30 minutes to get the stone heated all the way through! Just be careful using the door because you need to leave it cracked or vented to allow gas to vent out
Great video, but we'd like to see the undercarriage of the pizza as well. A lot of these videos show perfection on top but raw dough underneath......
Noted! I defiantly always make sure the bottom cooks but don't always remember to get video of it! Thanks for watching!
it's a good looking oven, I wish the front opening is bigger 20' x 10' and inside 20'x 20'
I agree, for this price they really needed to make it a little bigger, at least to be able to do a 16" pizza.
I waiting for the Emozione two Pizza Oven review 😎it maybe better then Gozney ?
I think the Emozione will be a great oven, Pizza party ovens are more basic design and build so they are not as fancy and crafted as the Gonzney ovens but they have a very simple design that still makes great pizza.
