    Program Notes:
    On August 15th, 2021, Taliban fighters retook Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul. This piece is dedicated to those suffering under their rule.
    It is also for those innocent Afghanis who suffered during the US occupation and the costly war that lasted 20 years.
