I don't understand why some people give dislikes to such great videos.I am just worried about their mental health.Keep it up #northridgefix, we always support you.
TECH HUB I disliked this video as I’m not confident in the motherboard or desktop “repairs”. More testing must be done. Especially with the desktop, the cost of shipping alone is substantial. I would be furious as a customer if the desktop was returned and the problem recurred
Im often asked if I charge less if it doesn't take long. My reply is always "you are paying for the knowledge, experience and expertise that allows me to spot and these problem so quickly and efficiently.
You are the best repair man I have ever seen, your work is smart and attracts more customers
Man you are genius. You don’t brag about work n don’t over flow informations. Keep up the good work
my lucky day is when I have something to fix :)))
To me also 😭
Don't give up Sir. Keep going!!!
Same to me.
I love how you are so dedicated and so caring. You guys are good people.
"do we charge the customer less? Of course not". Haha, had a good laugh

So cold, So cold
I work based on the time for the job. Customers pay for my knowledge as well. a 5 minute fix is still an hour minimum rate, but something I have to work on for hours pays for my time as well. I'll do an initial diagnostic for free, and communicate with the customer once I have an idea what the bill could look like, then leave it up to the customer if it's worth the cost.
When I work on desktop computer power supplies I always try to substitute with a known good one, just to be sure. I use the same power supply checker that you use (Thermaltake Dr.Power II) but I use it with a homemade adapter that puts a load on each of the important voltage rails (12V, 5V and 3.3v). I used a "Y" power supply connector and the female end of the "Y" connects to the power supply, one of the male ends goes to the Dr.Power II and the other male goes to my load board. The load board has some power resistors on it and provides a good load on each rail, which exposes any "weakness" it may have with respect to voltages. I have seen some power supplies that test fine with the Dr. Power II by itself, but fail when you put a load on it. The fault is usually caused by dried out electrolytic capacitors which you normally won't see unless you disassemble the supply (and who has time for that?)
Thanks mate for your repair videos, learning a lots of information that is invaluable for a person like me who would rather fix something rather than pay for someone else to do something that I am capable of doing. 😊
Hope world has more people like you! I am a fan of repairs and i never get bored watching your stuff! Subscribed Brother!
My lucky day is when I don't break something
Me too in my best days I dont end up paying my errors to clients
Heck my lucky day is when nothing in my possession breaks (even without my doing)
Just when you know what are your doing, you cant break things
My advice, The desktop Needs more testing, it is possible it is not Turning on after a couple of times
Customer picked up 2 days ago like his life depends on it. Worst case scenario we'll try another PSU if problem recurs. Stay positive bro. Don't ruin my lucky day moments.
@@NorthridgeFix bro can you please link your close-up camera? It has a really good quality. Thanks!

Thank you for the video. I really enjoy watching these. Would you be open to the idea of maybe doing a desk tour once you're done organizing. Would love to see all the little gadgets you've collected over time.
Liked the walk around ,interesting
Worck is not worck when you love it
Your lucky day is when you have your dad in good health while you are filming..
Wish you and your dad good health and luck
I would have been concerned about the HP computer. Yes, chances are the PSU connector just needed to be reseated. But maybe there is a cracked solder joint on the socket or inside the PSU - it's happened to me with an old MB which was working out of the case but not powering up inside the case. Of course you don't want to overthink the situation and start disassembling boards. Not sure what I would have done to be honest.
It was interesting to see. Thank you, colleague. I wish you success in your repairs and development.
How much I wish to have a workshop like that... Or work in a place like that my friend
My lucky day is when i watch your video.
I think it would be awesome if you would go over some of the tools you use (name, model number, attachments).. would love to know personally what microscope and rework station that is. Thanks for all the knowledge you give to us viewers.

The solder points on both ends of that flash drive look broken. Might wanna reflow those for stability
Can't believe your not using grinding pen before
I do repairs also, I'll apply your way to not charge less even on easy fix.
So you did not make the whole USB port better than factory?
I mean, this is how you prevent the other pins from breaking!

The first pin u checked on usb drive was also moving
that's a lot of devices in for work!

Amazing videos, helpful and informative
Why would people bring in desktop motherboards for repair? Its probably not worth much more than 100$ and I can't imagine that you bill less than that...
Hi sir are you using alchohol to clean the board ? or is it other special liquid ? please tell me 😊
Sir tell me what types of chemical use for cleaning that components?
Could you please share Where do you buy the chips for the motherboards you fix??
Me too would like to know
He is selling them so he won't disclose his supplier.
@@agutek of course no free information for nothing! Then why make videos of fixes if he's not willing to share where to get the parts he show he fixes! Then he sells parts double of cost to gain even more profits plus what youtube pays him to make videos! Then a prospect customer sends him a meesup board because he's showing how to fix but the viewer has no experience end up in his shop and then he gets upset doesn't work on the board because it's to much work 🤦♂️.
Its not too hard to find.. there are many suppliers based out of China actually. For years I repaired HP DV based motherboards with the NVIDIA GPU's because of a defective design using shitty solder, and cooling that was not enough to handle the heat. I used to reball the GPU's and most of the time it was good, but other occasions I would need to replace the GPU, and you would be surprised how much searching I needed to do to find the proper replacement.
I used to buy pallets of e-waste laptops, and would repair them to sell for a profit. A lot of them were purchased from Walmart by customers, and RAM and CPU was pulled and the laptops were returned and Walmart would liquidate them afterwards. Some had liquid damage, and/or broken ports, and/or had overheated. Overall, laptops that were not worth fixing, I would part them out to use for repairing other laptops, or to sell the parts separately. The #1 question I would get was regarding the source of the laptops, and people would get butt-hurt when I was not willing to disclose the info. I had to find out this info on my own as well, but one could try reaching out to e-waste based companies and do some digging to find out from there, and follow the chain of info if they are willing to disclose. I would turn it around on people and ask them if they would be willing to share the trade secrets regarding their company, and sometimes people would understand but other times that still was not good enough!
If you bust your ass, and put your blood, sweat, and tears into a business you built up yourself.. would you be willing to disclose info like this to someone for free because they want to make money on this as well? Most of the people who asked me, were not even in that line of work and had the idea they would buy the pallets of electronics, and pay someone minimum wage to do the repairs for them, with a radioshack basic soldering iron!
This is an old video but why were the files copied from the USB drive?
Hi. What liquid u use for cleaning board with cotton bud ? Is alcohol isopropyl?
the job is job :-) thanks
Nice job and video
Do you or can you make a video of the equipment you use IE soldering station and hot air rework station
What switching PSU you use ect ect thanks David
Very good sir.
please make video about the 2 or 3 desktop motherboard it would be really helpful to learn about desktop board most of it cant or hard to find schematic
I'm not sure if your PSU tester (and any other, not specially your) are really trustworthy, a good number of dead psu will continue to work at a low load however, what this device cannot determine is at a high load, for example by playing a game which has the effect of shutting down the Computer. So the PSU may look like it's working but in reallity not
The thing is that the pc didn't turn on at all
Not turning on is a user reported thing. 1st rule of working with users is don't trust what they say haha. Could be something simple like the hdmi was plugged in after the pc booted and there was no signal. User says it didn't turn on but it did. Agree with the psu testing though it needs a load on the rails and a stress test to prove it works. May not work when a specific rail is being hammered.
Let us see after organisation..🤓
What a load of stuff to repair. Wow.
I love watching your videos. Anyone out there got a link to the full version of the outro music? I just getting bouncing to the tune then it ends... :(

Seems like there is no board repair needed for 2018 or 2020 model of iPad Pro. Are they more reliable? I hope my 2021 iPad Pro lasts longer than my 10.5”.
Nice work shop :)
What do you use for cleaning the board? IPA?
Hi
Do u repair AV receiver HDMI( digital board) also? Like no sound or no video output from receiver!
maybe one of the data lines in USB stick cracked because the side support soldering were broken.
what is the mic that you are using and the wireless pack that it connects to?
I would like an after organizing video
Hi.sir. may I know what is the name you use in the cotton buds?thank you..
This is a great video. Can you please tell me how did you learn all these
Hi, Which microscope camera do you use ? Thanks

Well done sir
OMG🤦♂️ what did the person do on this board? I wouldnt work on that too. Thats not profitable....they shouldn’t work on things where they have no experience. I couldnt work on a car and do repairs if i dont have any experience on it or never learned it.
But you do an amazing job, keep it up. You are the best👍👌
so with the pc what was the problem? from the video it looked like cpu fan header was disconnected
What camera and telescope arm are you using?
Where can I buy it ?:)
Thank you for your nice videos !
