A slightly noticeable amount but the seating position was more comfortable! I much preferred the seating position of the New Ventus compared to the Discus 2 but they are both super comfortable and have lots of space to work with.
How tall are you and what size jacket do you wear? I am 6 ft, 175 pounds (79kg), and wear a 44 jacket. I'm worried the V3 is too narrow. I have one on order, but don't have a way to sit in one. My other option with FES is the new Jonker JS3. Have you flown that one to compare to the V3? Thanks!
rickdc3 I’m about the same weight and I’m a little bit shorter than you, I had absolutely loads of room to spare, I was only flying in shorts and T-shirt when I flew the Ventus but I would have felt really comfortable even with thick thermal trousers and puffer jacket! I think you will be fine! If it’s possible I’m sure if you contact Schempp-Hirth or your local Schempp agent then they should be able to arrange for you to try one on for size if they have one failing that it could always be worth a flight to Hahnweide via Stuttgart airport to try it on for size 😊 If you need an email address for them drop me a message on here
