A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Erika and welcome to my UA-cam channel. I've had this channel since 2009 but only started uploading regularly last year. I am a born and raised New Yorker. I've been a performer my whole life and in 2009 was offered the job of a lifetime - performing for Disney Cruise Line. Over three years with the company, I portrayed some of Disney's most beloved characters, danced my heart out, and met my husband! In 2013, I moved up to Toronto, Canada and studied for my full STOTT Pilates certification. Then, that summer, my husband and I got our first apartment on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, NY! In December 2013, my husband (then boyfriend) came home from his last ship contract and proposed! We got married at The Russian Tea Room in New York City on January 24th, 2015. We love adventure, and after 3 years living in Manhattan, in May 2016, we moved down to Celebration, Florida! In December 2016, I danced in the Macy's Holiday Parade at Universal Studios and had the time of my life! Although we've loved Florida, in May 2017, we moved back to New York to be closer to family and friends. In June 2017, we got the best news in the world - that we were expecting our first baby due March 2018. We are so excited that our little family is growing! PHEW.. So that's my story! I don't know what adventures lie ahead but I am SO excited to share them with all of you!
To be fair, you don't seem to understand how it works. Implantation of the fertilized egg happens anywhere between 6 - 12 DPO (Days Past Ovulation). Before that you cannot have a positive test. It is a waste of money to test. If women said they did get a positive before 6 DPO, they were off on their ovulation date and ovulated earlier than expected. When implantation happens the egg burrows into the womb and sends out signals to your body to start creating the pregnancy hormone - HCG. Which is the hormone the pregnancy tests pick up. Even IF, and that's quite a big if, you implanted on 6 DPO it takes up to 2 - 3 days before you produce enough HCG for it to be enough in your urine and be picked up by a pregnancy test. Most women will implant between 8 - 9 DPO, meaning first positive test is most likely to be 10 - 12 DPO.
These "early pregnancy tests" so to say, have a lower "threshold" of when they give a positive, I believe it's 15 HCG whilst a normal tests are 25 HCG, which means you MIGHT get a positive one day sooner than otherwise.
Don't just rant if you don't understand or didn't do any research on how it actually works.
I hope someone who might be trying to conceive found this post useful, and good luck!
On point, thank you. 💞
Exactly my thoughts!🤍
Very helpful! Thank you
Glad I came across your post! Thank you ❤️!
Ikr !!! Lol
A dollar store one and a life brand one (cheap) both gave me faint positives. the clear blue digital said "not pregnant". Due in October 🤷♀️
Congrats!!
Congratulations on the new little one!! Happy birthday little baby!!
Digitals require more HCG so that's why lol
I took 2 7/11 brand instant positive result the line showed up immedietly!!! I took 3 first response 1 had a super faint line and the digital and rapid result said no!!! So im conflicted i mean im lactating for gods sake.
Brittany 2H damn 😂😂😂😂
It’s not the tests fault it’s about when you implanted. Most people don’t implant by 6dpo, never mind the few extra days it can take for enough HCG to be detectable.
thank you finally somebody said it they always want to blame the test for their negatives when if they knew any better it’s way deeper than that
True but hcg starts producing after implantation, so it makes sense that she is a bit annoyed at it for not showing at least the faintest line
So useful! I always think I'm pregnant 🙈
dina rabin 😂😂😩
Same tho and I'm on bc 😂
hahah me too
Me to😂
Lmaooo
I respect your opinion but i find that the clear blue is the worst
I took 4 brands, the two cheapest had faint lines and the 2 most expensive digital tests said "not pregnant" the expensive tests are a waste of $ IMO
Not really, the digital needs more hcg. The 6 days earlier are great. That’s your opinion and they are like any others, sometimes you get faulty ones sometimes you don’t.
@@liguelal1230 but its a waste of money if at times you get a faulty one. You dont some times not pay them...you know.
It absolutely worst. I took a test this moring, it was postive. Took a digtal one, to confirm, and it negative.
CandyCandy you get faulty ones with cheap ones tho
I love first response.. it's the only brand that always shows up first for me 😂
I’ve always loved first response, it could be that you have a shorter cycle? I’m not sure. Implantation doesn’t usually occur until 6-7 dpo therefore you wouldn’t have the hormones until around 9-10 dpo which could be why you didn’t get a positive till later! But happy you found a test that works for you ❤️
Why am I watching this? Im not even pregnant lol
Merci 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol that was funny 😄
hilarious !!! :)
Merci same 😂😂
Same but guess what always always better to be prepared and get knowledge for when we do
First response has always worked for me. They have a digital one now too! 😊 I got my BFP just today with it!! 🙌🏼❤️
Lydia M congratulations ♥️♥️♥️
I agree. First Response is by far the best in my opinion. The blue dyes are awful!
Same
Agreed. First Response has been the best for me. Blue dyes suck.
(From my boyfriend's UA-cam) I've gotten many false positives on first response. 😔
Two things I'd like to clarify. "6 days earlier" refers to 6 days after you have officially missed your period, so it really means 5 days before you expect your period to start. Second, the average woman gets her period 14 days after she ovulates, so 5 days before her period is due would be 9 dpo. I will agree the front of the box is misleading; 99% of women are not going to get a positive at 9 dpo. The fine print clarifies that it's 99% accurate when you are at 14 dpo+. That said, because you have a shorter post-ovulation phase (12 days), you're pretty much guaranteed to never get a positive test 6 days before your period is due. Implantation happens on days 8-10 most commonly, but as early as 6 dpo and late as 12 dpo; then it takes at least a day after implantation (more likely 2+) for pregnancy hormone to show up in your urine. *I have no affiliation with the First Response brand*, I've just taken more tests than I like to admit and I have found they are the most sensitive. I agree that the First Response digital is not great; the clear blue digital is more sensitive in my experience.
This was so helpful. Thank you for laying it all out. I’m so lost with all these things.
They are very expensive too. Atleast they were back in the day.
@@caraighc1510 I have a testimony my name is miracle and I'm married for over 7 years now. No pregnancy I went to many places no solution before someone introduced me to a very powerful man his name Baba he helped me out so he told me in 7 days I will be pregnant I told him OK it really works for me I'm very happy to share this testimony. If you need help message him on Wh'atsApp +2348 11676 5476
First response says on the packaging that it’s like 75 precent 6 days out. Then like 85 on 5 days out. Then 99 on 4-0. Or something very similar.
I found the first response to not always be reliable as well. I’ve been pregnant 3 times and the cheap ones were more trustworthy than those ones. Thanks for the video!
First response doesn't work for me either.
:( mine popped up on a digital CB
First response gave me a positive at 4 weeks pregnant! The exact one in your hand. Pink dye with the tilted handle.
FOR THOSE CONSIDERING FIRST RESPONSE: On the box it states, "In laboratory testing, FIRST RESPONSE detected the pregnancy hormone levels in 76% of pregnant women, 5 days before their expected period; in 96% of pregnant women, 4 days before their expected period; in >99% of pregnant women, 3 days before their expected period; in >99% of pregnant women, 2 days before their expected period; in >99% of pregnant women, 1 day before their expected period; and in >99% of pregnant women, on the day of their expected period." So only 3/4 women will test positive 5 days before their expected period, meaning less than that will test positive 6 days before their expected period; I'm guess it's closer to 50%.
I turn to clear blue before anything!! With my daughter I got a positive 4 days before my missed period. With my 2nd I got a positive a day before my missed period. Both were clear blue digital.
you do know that implantation can happen anywhere between 6 to 12 dpo so you probably didn’t have any hcg yet
The pack from amazon is $9.98 now for 25 test strips
I use the frist responds and clear blue and both work faster than the time it would say
I took the first response one and got a negative, then 2 days later I took the clear blue digital and got a positive.
This has helped me so much, I've been testing using those first results and I found out that using natural pregnancy tests that I all got positive, but no matter how many stupid pink tests I use (early or late) they never work this helps me so much figure out which one I should use
yes. we have only ever had success with the clearblue yet there is so many negative reviews saying that first response is the superior one. never had luck with first response.
It totally depends on the person because I got my first line with the FR line test at 11-12 DPO. And my clear blue digital came back positive at 11 DPO. Every woman has different HCG levels, so diff tests will work better/worse for each individual:)
Lol the 6 days before next period worked for me 😂 but I ended up taking a digital anyways because I couldn’t believe my eyes! Hahaha!!
I got a positive 4 days after conception 😮 I thought my period was due in like 6 days but my ultrasound showed my baby was 6 days younger than I thought it was
First response is the worst....yeah finally someone feels the same way.....
First Response gave me a positive digital 8 days before my period was due.
Where you actually pregnant or was it a false positive
Same
@@aliciarae8509 gave me accurate positive like 8-9 days before, my cycle is 40days tho so it makes sense why
I used a clear blue and the digital and it said not pregnant but i used the firat respons and come up like super super posative and i was 3 weeks late so the clear blue should have worked and had a scan and i was in fact pregnant
First response was awful for me. Thank god I had clear blue. I took 2 boxes of first response after I missed my period for a whole month. They all came up negative. I bought one box of clear blue and only had to use one stick and bam it was positive. Yes I know many people are thinking "you missed your period for a whole month you should have know that you were pregnant"....well my period was irregular so I wasn't sure 😊.
Something I wanted to add: DONT USE TARGET BRAND ( up & up) I took 4 of them and they all were false positive, and then I bought another and used water on it and it had a positive too! ( all from different stores so it’s not just a bad batch)
Just so everyone knows, First Response's accuracy is over 99% accurate ON the day of your missed period - not to be confused with being that accurate 6 days before your missed period. If you read the actual accuracy results for the test it's only 76% accurate 5 days before your missed period, they don't even advertise the accuracy for 6 days before and I hate that it's worded in such a deceptive way on the box, but they obviously want to profit on influencing women to test way too early.
For the first response it depends on when you implant. You can do that up to 12 dpo. It's not the test it's also up to your body. I know people who got one 8dpo
This gives me so much hope! thank you! tested positive today with 2 cheap tests and negative with a first response test. I assumed it was better because it is more expensive and last time i conceived it detected my pregnancy 4 days before my missed period. (also pamphlet says only 99% accurate if you get a positive pregnancy reading 4 days sooner, its slightly misleading) nevertheless, i was saddened by my negative test today, but the internet cheap ones gave me positive, so now i am a ball of confused emotions.
I'm confused because I took 3 of the accumate pregnancy test with three different urine and the 3 of them comes back positive but I took a first response test and a accumate midstream pregnancy test with the same urine and only the accumate test comes back positive. 😔😔😔😔😔
This gives me hope. I have 6 days before my period and just got a negative test
Me to 😥😥
I always get negatives on clear blue if there early. I wanna find out early though
What I always like was the digital pregnancy tests they seem to work so well for me. Clear blue digital pregnancy test is what I took every pregnancy. I don’t like using the one with pink or blue dye sometimes they are hard to read so I prefer clear blue digital
Just putting this out there: just because it's accurate 99.99% of the time it doesn't mean it's never wrong...
Clearblue sucks honestly
living with lourdes 🤔
Mine says positive and I'm confused
The first response worked for me just fine lol
First response has always been horrible for me. I was almost 3 months pregnant before the first response(any of them digital or not) would tell me I was pregnant. Mom of 3.
It doesn’t work for everybody (I’m talking about all of them) what works for you may not work for the other and vise versa
It says 99 percent accurate on the day of your missed period. The paperwork tells you much lower percentage 6 days before your period. They are sneaky with wording and word order.
First response is the most sensitive test, it can detect the lowest numbers of Hcg of anything else on the market
I feel like this is something that will be different based on each individual
First response gives me a positive sooner than clear blue has. :)
An 88 cent and the First Response ones gave me a positive at 10DPO!
I used 1st response 5 days before my missed period and it was positive. I went to the doctor the next day and before testing me they had a prep talk telling me it might be negative due to the fact I hadn't had a period. Sure enough my test was positive and they also tested my hormone levels at 4weeks and 3days but they were so high they thought I was having twins. I'm now 21weeks and 2days and it's been confirmed I'm only having one baby. It took a bit longer for me to find out due to me leaving the country for a little while.
The digitals are far less sensitive than the regular tests. Blue dyes are known for evaps and dye runs. Get the dollar store tests.
I hate first response they keep giving me false positives and I haven't technically missed my period yet
Thr CVS digital gave me a false positive a couple years ago. Ive found that the clinical guard from Amazon are cheap and detect nice and early
very helpful! thanks!!
Omg I got nothing but negatives on my tests even the blood test and I was pregnant the whole time. I researched it on UA-cam I’m going to share this in a video too. I just get so shy lol
I would love to see this. Im very convinced I'm pregnant on birth control 🤦♀️ cant get an appt until feb. 10th
Omg please tell me
Do you have contact info I need advice I’m only 19
Anyone watching today im going to pick some up today 🙂 I'm not ttc but after a hangover I took 2 faint positive $1 store tests 😅 so I been having line eyes since the struggle
My first two pregnancies they worked, and now I keep getting yes on clear blue digital but no on the first response. Both rapid and digital
For those reading it says 6 days but if you read the box it’s only like 40% that early. Some people get positive sooner tests can only do so much frer are the best and I found the digital to be the least sensitive
It's not saying u will get a positive on the first response 6 days sooner. It's between 6 days and your missed period. It depends when the egg implanted as well :) as the egg can implant anywhere from 5-12 days after you ovulated :) and HSG usually shows at least 2 - 3 days once the implantation took place.
FIRST RESPONSE: The asterisk near the 99% means read the box. The closer you are to the day of your missed period.
6 Days = ~75% accurate
5 Days = ~ 80%
Etc etc.
This review is uneducated.
All pregancy tests have a margin of error and the closer to the day of your missed period the better results you'll have.
@@itsjustmargarita I used first response and it didnt show postive till I was already 5 weeks pregnant....
Margarita Ali y ok i
First response worked for me twice. It was a few days before my period but I got a huge clear positive both times: I trust it
I used Meijer brand digital for my daughter and found out @8ish weeks.
Then just this morning I just tested positive twice with them again. And I’m 4wks 5day
If you read the box it 6 days sooner is actually 5 days before missed period.. Not 6
I’ve yours first response pregnancy test and got 2 faults positives... I was soo soooo broken
I watch you all the time I love you girl thanks for the video and I agree with you
I used first response and it came positive with a faint line
I did first response triple check that has two line ones and one that is digital , then got clear blue digital and I did one on my 6 day before period and one 5 day before period and they both are positive .
You are absolutely right
First response worked for me 8 days before my period
Yes mine too
I'd never take another blue dye. I got a strong strong positive. I got my period later. (It wasnt a chemical I took another red dye with the same urine and it was negative)
I have used the first response 14dpo and had a clear negative then at 17dpo i tested again and was a BFP
I agree first response sucks! I’d use a dollar tree one before I waste my money on the first response
First choice worked for me clear blue 6 days after I missed my period still said I wasnt pregnant even tho I was...
I took one this morning, six days before my period and it came out negative
6days sooner is based on a 28 day cycle, in which you have a 14day luteal phase, aka, should come up positive 8dpo earliest. Blue dyes are supposedly less reliable, more false positives and such. But thanks for your review
6 days before ur missed period is 5 days before ur expected period w a 14 day luteal phase making u 8dpo at the earliest
First time I got pregnant I only used clear blue I got a positive at this moment I’m a week late and I’ve only used 1st response and a cheap ones and they negative
First response is favorite not the digital though. Clear blue digital is my favorite.
This makes me feel better i keep getting negative with first response but 2 positives with the blue equate dye. I got
The positives less than 5 mins so now im goung to test again today. Ive been prayomg for 4 years now and had my 2nd miscarriage in July so im really praying its truely anpositive. I feel sick rigjt now. My period is SUPPOSE to be tommpwp. Im praying it doesnt start ❤️
You can't really expect a test to pick up hcg when it isn't there yet.
You dont implant until at earliest 6dpo. Then it takes 2-3 days for hcg to raise
I just waited six days past my period and used a Walgreens pink dye brand. Early response tests are hardly accurate, and there’s no point wasting your money when you can just wait a couple extra days!
Got first response test last night.the digital doesn’t work, got broken test.never buy it again
I have to disagree, first response have always been the best for me. Everyone is different I suppose ❤️
Yeah first response is horrible, I actually tested a week after my missed period and it came up negative while all others were positive 😒😒
Voodoo Barbie same!! I just got two faint positives with first response and clear blue!
Not to mention half of them are defective out of the box. I've wasted so much money on those tests over the years and they never even turned on
First response never worked till weeeeeks after my period...like 5-8weeks after my period.
I got a “?” With the digital one (first response)
Did you ever find out what it meant ?
The Clearblue tests are 25 to almost $50 to get in the first response I find a lot cheaper and they also work better in my opinion just because that's what I use every time I used a Clearblue test even the one that tells you how many weeks you might be is crap so I don't know if it's because of different women or if it's just because it's better.
6 days before is like 70% doesn’t reach 99% accuracy until the day after your expected period. PSA for all my boys in a panic rn. Do your research lady
Ed C also people don’t know the day they ovulation it can be very hard even with test the apps are no always right
First response is my fav. It worked for me.
I used clear blue a few weeks ago and I have pregnancy symptoms
I used dollar store pregnancy test with both my kids. We are waiting to see if I'm pregnant this weekend and the first response was terrible! Did not work gave a ugly faded line then used a digital and it just didnt turn on at all. Another digital that one only showed a clock for 15min.
On the side of the box of the First Reponse test, it will tell you the % accuracy. I think 6 days before missed period is less than 50%. And only the day of missed period is 99% accurate. But I'm not going to lie, I too prefer the cheap tests. But this time around I haven't been able to get a positive yet and I know that I'm pregnant because im so sick. I'm buying first response tomorrow to see if it works
i had friends who would not get a BFP until a week after their missed period.
They were how I found out I was pregnant
It cant tell you 6days sooner if your only 6dpo I mean seriously you dont technically implant until between 6-12 dpo and even if it implanted 6dpo it would still take 3-4 days to give enough hcg levels
Great sharing sister.
I love the first response!!! Got a positive test 2 weeks before missed period.😁 currently 2 months pregnant!!
Jazmin Garcia you must have an extremely long cycle because that’s when most people ovulate
The curved first response ones are terrible. The flat ones are were it’s at. Always worked for me :)
First response work for me with my both of my kids depends on the person body
what state is behind 1.9 in a bright fate line
Has anyone ever used the wegmans digital pregnancy test and got a weird open book on the screen instead of a reading? Wth does that mean
My period is supposed to start on the 29th and first response gave me a faint positive a few days ago but clear blue gives me a dark positive
I was hoping you’d like First response 😫 they always worked for me. Maybe you ovulated later than you thought. I however don’t like the curved first response tests. I like the traditional ones.
so possible!!!
The First Response ones NEVER worked for my two previous pregnancies. Even after my missed period. Like 17-20 DPO. The cheap ones from The Dollar Store would be positive and those would be negative.
I'm confused because I took 3 of the accumate pregnancy test with three different urine and the 3 of them comes back positive but I took a first response test and a accumate midstream pregnancy test with the same urine and only the accumate test comes back positive. 😔😔😔😔😔
I took the clearblue early detection tests before my period and it came out negative 2 months ago.
Every pregnancy is different. With FRER, clear blue (digital) & easy at home tests with my last pregnancy I didn’t get a positive with any until 12 dpo (af due 14 dpo) and I got a positive with all 3 that day. With my current pregnancy I got a positive on 8 dpo with FRER and easy at home (af due 14 dpo) but didn’t get a digital positive until 10 dpo. And my FRER are always darker than easy at home.
