I am yet to see a reasonably priced bmw with the interior this ST line displays. BMW interiors i feel have always lacked unless you are willing to spend substantial amounts
Just bought this car today after watching this review numerous times! Thanks for your detailed input, it made my decision much easier. The car is so much fun, im loving it!
I agree with your comment regarding the lane departure warning. I've always found the Fiesta's equipment levels rather odd. Like I've never understood why my dad's mk7 ST-2 has heated seats and mirrors, sports seats with half leather, Bose sound system and all the safety equipment available, yet no satnav, dual zone climate control or parking sensors. The latter 2 aren't even options! I know it's not designed for comfort, but in such an expensive car I'd expect more for my money
yes i would rather have parking sensors than lane departure, but the traffic sign recognition which i assume uses the same cameras and sensors is rather good
I've just got a Fiesta 1.0 ecoboost 100ps Titanium 3 door in chrome blue, I'm only 5'7" tall so don't find it small inside. Have the led headlights & they are good. Lane departure is taking some time to get use to it. I have the panoramic roof option & that does eat into rear headroom. Brilliant car
I've just been out for another drive in it now as I have to give it back to Ford on Monday, its a really good car but I think I would have to turn of the Lane Change warning/aid if I had one permanently, down one stretch of the dual carriageway it was fighting with me, that's only a minor criticism, however, I do love pan roofs, they totally transform the interior of the car, enjoy!
I think the ST Line looks really good, and I like the red stitching inside, however, my mum's new titanium has heated seats, heated steering wheel and a bigger screen. If you could have that in an ST Line , I'd buy one (execpt I don't have £250 a month to dispose of)
Shame about the lack of electric rear windows and parking sensors as standard, especially for an X model you's hope they'd ram it full of kit, especially as it is the same price as the Titanium X which has all these things, glad to see they're not particularly pricey options either, I suppose that is what the ST-3 is for. Lovely looking car though I must say.
parking sensors I agree but i have had to replace so many rear window motors because they are never used and they seize up, its cost me a fortune over the years, i think having windy ones is a better idea
Great review, at first I thought it was going to be my exact car i have just ordered , brand new st line x in a 4door in magnetic. With extras. B&o with sat nav Comfort pack CD player Reverse camera parking sensors. I do like the look of the led lights , but I was all out of money.
TheRhodes76 i do play it and it is fantastic, however you can only play it for a few seconds otherwise youtube will cut off all the soundtrack for copyright infringement
Would you be against buying this model if it had 100k miles on it, found one for 5400, had wet belt and water pump and servicing done what do you think?
0:03 god the ford focus now starts from £28,500 so it’s gone up over £10,000 since ! I know they’ve removed the low spec models but it’s MORE than the BMW 1 series starts from! (£28.3k)
It is miles better than the previous one, More comfortable, quieter and finally they have given it a 6th gear which the previous one desperately needed at motorway speeds.
I went to Yorkshire in it the other day, lots of country roads and a bit of motorway too, perfectly equipped for both and i would say that its an improvement on the previous model, but i still struggle with the sound that a 3 cylinder car mages
Years ago you had only one type of Fiesta the mk1 petrol and the mk2 petrol and diesel but theses days you have different versions of the fiesta. I think the base and lowest spec model is the Zetec and zetec x editions then you go to the titanium and titanium models . After that’s I believe it goes to the more luxurious vignale and vignale x editions with plush leather seats sunroof and heated steering wheel then there is the st line and st line x models witch are more sporty that are based on the full st but without the powerful engine and probably the highest spec models are the st and st x models. So white a lot of variations
Picked up a 2019 today for 14k with 4000 miles. My titanium x snapped it’s timing chain a week ago and I find this new one truly basic as I don’t need lane assist or cruise but I do auto wipers, hill assist auto dimming the list is endless of what this car hasn’t got. Getting 38 instead of 56 with my tdci so not thrilled at the moment.
Getting the auto version next year which by the way is also available on the 125bhp version which I'm getting Cannot wait. But I'm still stuck on colour choice. Any recommendations?
The ST line is like a Zetec spec'd Fiesta with all the fun looks, and the ST line x is like the Titanium spec. As far as i know this has all the tech of the Titanium, and the ST line has all the tech of the Zetec. Feel free to correct if i'm wrong.
I see they do a automatic fiesta in the St -line X, but it’s the 100ps version. Does anyone know if they do they 123ps or 138ps versions in an auto? I did think an auto in such a low powered car wouldn’t work, anyone think otherwise?
Hey Barry what car do you have in your own garage .Would love to know .I was planning to buy a Jaguar XF 2.2 preowned but worried about its reliability. Thanks and have a good day

Looking to purchase one (ideally the exact model here) but after looking around at a bunch of a ford garages some have a silver trim instead of red. I have a slight suspicion they are trying to fod STs off at ST Xs.

i think your central camera lens needs a clean, it seems "blurry" compared to the other cameras , the 1 that in between the seats, pointing towards the dash..............
Yep its because when theres no one sat in the seat it vibrates ever so slightly but just enough to make the picture blurred, especially if its zoomed in or magnified, full marks for observation though 👍
there are a lot better jobs out there than being a Car Trader, far better to do something else that pays better and where you don't have to work as hard, then just have cars as your hobby, also Car Sales jobs seem to attract the worse kind of people, so a lot of the time your work mates aren't much different from the kind of people that you would meet in Prison , although I have to say that over the length of my career I have been fortunate to meet a lot of great people
the first gen fiesta were way too over hyped, the dual clutch autos was ment to give you a great luxurious transmission..... well it was a great big mistake. Ford did fix the issue after a good long time with just a pressure clutch plate replacement, but the problems with the transmission kept on coming. They recalled our fiesta and gave us full sticker price back. I would get a manual in cheaper cars and leave the autos for the highend models.
i know YOU probably know and I know, but i think you should point out to people that the daytime running lights DONT flash in real life as they appear to in the video, we know it`s caused by the camera, but not everybody would know this..................
Nice video, watched your Focus video in the past and thought I commented but maybe you deleted it :D I do wish the earlier Fiesta had 6 gears but then it may lack the pull as you find with this model. Interior is definitely a bit better in this one but it's lost it's sporty look on the outside a little, but then again at least now you have a proper exhaust tip :D
I think I had a problem with the audio on this one, but thanks for watching, and yes its a nice car but in 6th gear, you can only really reduce revs and maintain speed, it won't accelerate :-)
no you dont, i coast. my way you dont put more wear on the running gear by using engine braking. ive been doing it for year but the car makers have only just caught on, you're welcome !
I low key like the ST, but it absolutely ruins me that its considered the same class or close to something like a corsa. 😐😐 But if i go for anything i think i will go for the new focus, being as the focus can be just as fun yet more comfortable and roomy to drive.
Manufacturer's must be laughing all the way to the bank with their new vehicle pricing. Now I know why second-hand car dealers such as yourself and car supermarkets such as Motorpoint are doing well. The other problem is manufacturers cram so much crap into cars now, taking the price up with it, and as a result what was their target market say 10 - 15 years ago is now out of reach simply because of the cost to buy. Granted I'm a little biased towards used because after part-ex I managed to secure myself a mid-spec Mazda 3 (13K miles) for a shade under £9K. And Ford want £22K for this fashion item?

Front and rear parking sensors are an option. We have one each a 140 and a 155hybrid. Very enjoyable to drive.
The ST line looks really smart, only issue with this high spec one is it costs as much if not more than a proper ST, I'd rather have an ST.
