I have A72 Rupper hustler. 224cc predator engine. That is a pretty sweet Suzuki sitting in the back. I had to wipe the drool off my chin.😮😮😮😅 Is it A TS or Tc?... Can I ask what you paid? I paid $35. The torque converter was missing SMILES FOR MILES 💯😎
I had a Rupp when i was a kid.. OMG, I rode that thing everywhere! I’m 53 now, wow that brings back memories HA!.. Tecumseh 5 horse, it never died on me. 🥰👍
Those things were known for vapor locks. That may have had to do with the cheap vinyl tubing. Put a thicker automotive grade tube, and things were better. My guess is that the cheaper tubing was so close to the cylinder head that it overheated. That’s my guess anyhoo.
Dude that was my first bike. I was about 8. I'm sure it wasn't a 69 because it looked more like a regular dirt bike. But it was old at the time and that was the late 80s
@@AppalachianMountainRiders i have never seen a chain guard like that on a rupp .they were always round.that doesn’t look like a 69 rupp goat.that thing was really flying
I’m definitely not an expert on them so you could be right. Might have had to use a different guard on account of the different engine maybe. It did zip really good and was fun to ride!
I just have to comment. You live in a very beautiful place. I bought mine and the early 80s for my kids. Now it's full circle I have it.😅
I am 63 Been riding sense 17 mostly Harley's Yamahas Triumph Kawasaki's Allways loved the Rup Nice little bike would ride it today
I had the same mini bike as a kid . After the engine blew up, my dad used a car starter and a car battery setup to power it. Talk about torque.
Your dad was a genius. Electric motors have serious torque. Especially starters

That’s a 1970 Rupp
Google 70 Rupp vs 69 Rupp
I dont think that is a rupp
It’s a Rupp but it’s not the original engine
