    Always a pleasure to see ForceofPhil's customized decks but I'm also really jealous of the Winter art Mishra's Factory! I've had the other three arts since I was a teenager but have never found a Winter I could afford at the time.

      Both players have nice collections. For sure!

      The set was a birthday present from a partner years ago, I think she paid 80 for the winter and like 200 for the whole set? No idea what they go for now.

    I believe dismember gets countered because of void mirror? Since he didn’t pay mana and paid life for the phyrexian cost instead?

    • @nicholasfarrell5981
      @nicholasfarrell5981 Рік тому

      Almost, it's because he paid life for the black pips and colorless for the generic cost.

      Paying black Phyrexian mana counts as colored mana as far as I know.

      @@90sMTG Checked with a judge out of curiousity. In this case, the only mana used for dismember was a colorless mana from wasteland. Thus, the spell is countered because paying life does not mean paying colored mana. It should have been countered because he did not use any black mana to pay for the colorless portion of the spell.

      @@jaredmchong did my own searches and it looks like you're right, it should have been countered. great catch then!

    That thoughtseize not getting the prismatic then following with chains was questionable at best. It hurt.

    A Pox deck, will wonders never cease.
    EDIT - aaaaaaand his one card is worth the entirety of the deck I'm building right now (or damn near).

    Humility might be very confusing when it interacts with other cards. Opalescence, gideon Emraku cast, etc

    I take jace each time with my discard because its the one card I simply cant get around. There is a chance to eventually power through other cards he will have, I lose to a resolved jace just about every time. It might have been better to take the PE and get my chains to stick, but if he lands the jace he just fateseals me, and I have such few threats in the deck its near impossible to beat.
