STORYLINE:
The White House says first lady Jill Biden drew inspiration from the nation's founding documents to decorate for the holidays.
The first lady's theme is "We the People." The White House says the holiday décor represents what unites Americans during the holidays and throughout the year.
A copy of the Declaration of Independence is on display in the library. The gingerbread White House includes a sugar cookie replica of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed.
New this year is a wooden menorah built by White House carpenters and located on the State Floor.
Journalists were given a sneak peek early Monday before the first lady was to unveil the transformational work of a small army of volunteer decorators during an event later in the day.
"The soul of our nation is, and always has been, 'We the People,'" she says in prepared remarks released by the White House. "And that is what inspired this year's White House holiday decoration."

Surprised to see the detailed nativity set, since they certainly don't live by the principles the Prince of Peace taught when he came as a human to the earth. Maybe there is hope for them, after all? You need to look up the image of the mirror they had above the miniture scale whitehouse decoration. It's a hard image to find but it's real, and if you look at the top of the golden mirror frame there is baphomet's head. This sounds like I am stretching but I am literally not.

This is a true example of what to go by and that is "It is what they don't tell or show you that one has to worry about"? In this case only the bottom half of the wall is shown where "We the people, ..." is at. However ask yourself and research why the other top half was not shown?

The nativity was breathtaking! The tree with the state birds was a really clever, but I think it could’ve been better executed. Other than that, sadly, I was not impressed at all.

Maybe it was the way they presented it here but I didn't find it beautiful, elegant or impressive which is what I'd expect from the White House. It looked a bit gaudy, messy, all sorts of things jumbled clumsily together. It sounds like a lot of thought went into it (the state tree etc) but maybe someone with an artistic eye was needed to pull it all together as it is not just a family home but also has a representative function.
I am sure this Christmas weekend. President Biden, and the First Lady will make it to mass.
