As a fellow veteran, I appreciate you opening up and talking about this. It is difficult. I started to watch your vids and in process of applying but its still difficult.

Thank you for sharing! From my understanding trauma is caused by a situation that goes beyond the level of stress we can personally handle. It doesn't have to be the classics like war, assult or someone dying. It can be as "simple" as losing a job, losing your faith, the passning of a beloved pet etc.
And ptsd comes in when we can't truely process that trauma. Absolutely no shame in any of it, and again thank you for talking about this! All the best of luck to you!

Completely understand what you mean. I never deployed but working dispatch I experienced a few things that still affect me to this day. Talking and just getting it off your chest helps.

The prominence of this issue amongst veterans is bigger than I thought. So many people know what I mean in this video. It’s always good to connect with each other especially if we’re going through the same thing.

Hey. Going through the same thing here FM and never been deployed . I think we fail to realize that being around the energy people that have been deployed, the constant sense of urgency, and the politics starts wearing you down resulting in the activation of fight or flight even in situations where there might be no imminent threat.

Hey fellow FM’er! You are spot on with this comment. All of these things can have terrible mental health consequences for anyone and unfortunately many military members experience this.
