Great review, with a lot of useful spec info. Just wish you had played the B string at some point - you do mention its sound, but didn't actually cover it in the sound clips.
Powerful and rounded but as it's passive, there's only so much presence and clarity that can be added/taken away with the tone control. Passive five-string basses always suffer a bit in that department. Thanks for your comment.
I had this bass for a limited time. The footage I filmed was what I got on the review day and the clips used were the best of the bunch. When I edited the video, the bass had already gone back to the retailer so there was no chance to refilm anything and the best clips from the footage I had didn't feature the low B, sad but true. I may have access to another BBP35 further down the line so at some point in the future, I'll film a 'revised & updated' review.

Thanks a lot for the video! I think this is the best Yamaha BBP sound review on youtube. How much would the sound be different between BBP35 and 735 series in passive mode? - Greetings from South Korea
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. Probably not a huge difference in tone, if you recorded it and looked at the soundwaves, I don't think you would see a huge difference. I think you would feel a difference in terms of construction, playability and comfort but it would be marginal. Hope that helps!
@@latenight5865 no problem, there is a price difference between the two, and having played both, its more about the level of finishing and the fact the BBP is hand made/finished. You get what you pay for with Yamaha.

How is the low B sounding ?

@@BrooksysBassCorner Wow thank you so much for your comment! Then, I will think about buying 734 as it's less expensive. Thank you!!!
