You need to get Mr. Danny an LED head lamp to keep in his barn for when he doesn't have enough light to see. I love my head lamp so much, I got a couple more.
Onite USB powered LED light bulbs are amazing too. You can run them with a small power bank or solar power station. With an extension cable you can power them during the day in a dark shed, barn, room, or camper from a portable folding solar panel with charging ports.
Danny can make mounting those shares much faster and with less hassles. First measure the diagonal point to point length on the share stem. Get a PVC pipe or pipe coupling of the same ID size. Measure from top of the share to the point on the stem you want the share set at. Cut the pipe or coupling to be that length and slide it onto the stem. If you use a PVC coupling, you can drill and tap it and screw a bolt into it to act as a set screw so the pipe won't slide off when dismounted. After installing the pipe, all you do is slide the share on and butt the pipe to the bottom of the mount and tighten it down. Hassle free installation. You can make this from scrap wood as well, but the PVC pipe will last much longer.
These machines & the men who know how to work them fascinate me. Both amazing to me. When my husband was alive I loved to watch him build things & repair. He was old school & could fix or create anything.❤
Great video. I grew up learning how to drive a tractor on a cub. We had all the attachments you are using but we never used them. We used the tractor for mowing, plowing and general tasks such as moving dirt on trailers, hay bale accumulating and pulling trees for firewood. My dad and I rebuilt the engine back in the late 70s or early 80s. Fond memories. I also learned how to back up trailers with that tractor. That learning process has served me well. I remember just about flipping it over backwards when pulling a log. Scary. Dad sold it in the late 90s and he has since passed away. Very emotional watching you work on your Cub.
Wanda I can't express how happy I am for you and Danny getting pecan Grove.❤ And look when Danny plows..real dirt. It's going to be so cool to watch you guys with your mad gardening skills grow some awesome gardens over there. Much love y'all
Pretty stand of corn! I hope it makes for you this year and you don't have a repeat of last year. I planted some white half runners and rattlesnake pole beans last week in west Georgia. They are sprouting so we will see what happens! Good luck, Mr. Danny and Mrs. Wanda!!!!
Very nice! I spotted a Farmall Cub in the town I live in the other day and I stopped to see if the guy would sale it...said he use to use it and had planes to get it going again. It was very straight and clean, said he thought he had left the ignition on and possible burnt the coil out on it, it was still the 6 volt system. The Gentleman had the cultivator system on it and some other implements for it...I told him if he ever decided to sale I would be interested in it but doubt if I will ever hear from him. God Bless!
Good morning Mr Danny and Ms Wanda. Those fields look great! I'm hoping that y'all have a fruitful harvest. Our corn is starting to grow after we replanted following the last freeze. 🌽
I do love the sound of a tractor! But when I was a little girl I was terrified of them - when granddaddy would come down his driveway on his old John Deere at lunchtime and even though I was in the house I would go hide! He was a cotton farmer in the 50s and 60s and even owned a cotton gin and warehouse! Fun memories! Your garden is a beauty and your tractor sounds wonderful!!
I have watched this video over and over. Never have I ever seen anyone use layby sweeps. I’m amazed. I have a set of them but didn’t know how they worked. Guess I’ll be trying them again. Thanks 👍👍👍
I love seeing a vintage Farmall tractor being put to use doing EXACTLY what McCormick designed the tractor to do. If it ain't Red, it stays in the shed!!
My dad had an old Oliver tractor. He used it until it gave out on him. He kept it running with his inventive ways like you do Mr. Danny. Finally had to put it to rest in the back of the property where it still sits. I remember many a garden plowed with that old Ollie.
All these years having a garden, and I did something that I should’ve thought before I did this! We were getting a storm and 29 degree weather and I didn’t have any covers to put over my raised beds yet. So I went to Orschelns and picked up straw and covered four of my beds with straw. This kept the frost from getting my plants. A few weeks later I started getting hundreds and hundreds of weeds coming up in my beds only the four beds that I put the straw in. After four days of pulling these hundreds of little weeds that kept coming up (I then realized the straw was not organic also!) today I pulled all four beds removed all the soil and added new soil. I guess I can chalk this up to never too old to learn or make mistakes. I did ask though before I purchased straw if there could be seeds and they told me no but it’s still my fault I should have thought there could be and thought about it not being organic. I just panicked I guess is all I can say.
I just planted two types of green bush beans and finished the end of the row with yellow wax beans. I planted the beans between where I had just planted Clemson Spineless okra. I guess it will work. I like to experiment. Gonna try Red Burgundy and Jambalaya too this year. Rain moved into central Louisiana so I`ve had to wait to plant those. In the 1960s/70s we had a tractor very similar to that one.
Mr Danny I need me a farm all tractor 😂😂😂😂😂😂 .. or just any kind of tractor .. hubby thinks I don't nerd a tractor because we are only on a two and a half acre homestead ... What he don't understand is my whole yard would be garden and fruit if I had a small tractor 😂😂😂😂😂
Brings back memories of my uncle and my dad when I was growing up we farmed about three acres and my uncle farmed about 5 acres with the little yellow cub’s!! I still have my dad’s cub and I have it in storage. Great little garden tractors 🚜 !
Danny I have been watching you and Wanda for 6 years. I have learned a lot from you two. Thank you. But seriously ya'll have not listened to me. I have asked questions and have been blown off. Wanda promised to send me cutting from her tumeric. I never was offered a chance to buy them since. Don't y'all understand what you are to some people? You're such a godly person. I just didn't expect to be treated like this . What's up 😢
We have so many contact us. The turmeric won't be ready until September. I didn't have much this year. So i didn't share. I replanted. Plus you will have to follow up on these things. We don't have a list of requests. Sorry that you feel slighted. Not our intention. Message in the fall.
Boy that little cub just fires right up, ! Im proud for you, and good job out there in the field😉👍enjoyed that video , much appreciate you both , may GOD continually Bless you all
Amazing how you take apart and put back the parts of your tractor. You and Wanda have absolutely beautiful gardens. You make what the good Lord gave you look amazing...Mrs.Steve
Fresh plowed earth looks so pretty and smells so wonderful. Reminds me of being with my grandpa (pop pop). Even my daddy worked with tractors similar to yours. I just remember it was red. 🥰
Ghees, I was going to ask how much $ you thought you had put into the tractor, but after seeing all the extra parts, I realized it's about the NEED. How much is it worth to you ? I wonder how many people would know how to make it work like you do ~ not many~!
Really enjoy the cub videos. Always interesting to see how it works. Someday hope to find an old small tractor like a cub or L series. Wishing you both a blessed day.
We had our last frost last night 🤞 Fingers crossed for luck. But I'm out here now, been out since around 7 am taking a break now. I got a lot done so far. I won't bore ya with the little details, but I've been waiting for this since our first frost back in November when it took all our Thanksgiving collard greens lol. I've had my raised beds soil ready in early March and was gonna put up some low tunnels but I decided to wait a couple more weeks because I noticed that our long-term forecast is showing that the last frost is a month earlier than normal. I always enjoy watching Danny working the garden or farm with the tractor. What y'all have is a farm compared to my small garden.
You have all that growth and even here in SC we had a killing frost a little over a week ago. And its been too wet to get into the garden to do anything. The few times i made it into the garden it was really too wet but i was pushing it and didnt get anything done before i was bogging up or it started raining again! Be at leaet two weeks id imagine before i can get into the garden fue to the rain.
Fine Job Danny. I thought I heard you say that was a reproduction hopper. That Hopper you took off is Original IH. The reproduction hoppers have plastic buckets that one looked like fiberglass. Enjoyed. 👍
We only got the plow the ground and lay the rows with the tractor, we had to cover it up by hand and hoe the weeds out by hand. Man that was hard work😅
Sure am glad you are keeping it SIMPLE!! That was a joke, right?? Simple for mechanically inclined people!! Not me. Lol I do see the value of using only a cresent wrench to attach and arrange all those bits and pieces. Garden looks good. Thank you for the video. 😊
Thanks Danny for the video. It helps me to see others process’s. I’ve got a few years on you and not much experience with the Cubs. I do have a slug of them however and all kinds of equipment for them. Like you I latch onto any and all Cub “stuff” that I find. I don’t understand all of it, but better to have than not be able to find it. JMO. Best regards.
Just subscribe to you That's a nice garden you got We used to have big gardens when we were at home We used to use a super C And it had all that stuff on to it that was a good tractor Mere fact I'm putting in 2 gardens pretty soon Right now I'm putting some fence around them Stay safe and have a good day Get you on the next one
Such a blessing watching you plow your garden. My grandad had a John Deere A and it brings back old memories of a more peaceful time. Your Cub is a wonderful piece of equipment. God bless y’all. (Old guy from Arkansas)🇺🇸
Great information thank you for doing it , I am in east Tx and have similar soil here. Maybe a bit more sandy , I have my eye on a cub tractor , have never owned one or used one, how long can you use it before their too large to cultivate without damaging the plants , I assume the larger they get the wider you set the sweep, also can you use the cub for making hills like potato’s and watermelon etc? If so can you weed it out like that ?? Any info is appreciated
That corn looks nice and big already, l’m probably gona plant mine in a week or so, still had some frosty nights here last week.. l just can’t help but wonder, who owns that pin for the tool if not Danny 🤔
That is an awesome old tractor I would love to have. I have a 140. My question is why would you disassemble the entire planter if you were going to use totally different tool bar and plows. 2 nuts loose and slipped out of the lift feet and I would have removed the whole planter just like on a 140.great video and greater old tractor.
You know those cubs can still be had for a fairly reasonable price. Did u ever think about having 2 cubs each one set up a different way. So you can just get on it and go when u have a job to do. And no worry about changing things around. Just a thought.
Good morning! I can almost smell that fresh plowed earth.
Good morning!
That smell , we call in Italy “aroma di terra tombada”
It’s fantastic!
All the best!
Tonini
So do the hogs in Texas

Crops are looking good. The Cub and operator does a really good job! 😁🚜
Wanda is so blessed to have an awesome husband to share her life with. God keep blessing you both.
Your gardens are beautiful! Thank you for sharing them with us all.
Good morning! Everything looks beautiful, rich and healthy.

Hassle free installation.
You can make this from scrap wood as well, but the PVC pipe will last much longer.
Love seeing you use the same tractor my daddy used when I was a little girl. Your gardens are beautiful.
What a beautiful garden. I just picked a bucket of dewberries to can. God bless you and your family.✝️💜
These machines & the men who know how to work them fascinate me. Both amazing to me. When my husband was alive I loved to watch him build things & repair. He was old school & could fix or create anything.❤
You’re the real deal Danny & Wanda I always look up to you as my mentors and inspired me to get into homesteading.

What an amazing piece of machinery and American ingenuity!
And what a shame it isn't made anymore.
America has LOST its way!!!
I don’t have a garden tractor but I sure did enjoy watching you set up the plows. Always room for a education.
We use my husband’s great grandfather’s 1956 Farmall, just like yours. Every year we’re thankful it starts and does us well. ❤
God Bless!
Just the crescent wrench gives the old girl the love she needs, taking your time to remove her accessories. Quiet and simple
That little tractor is worth its weight in gold
That was an interesting video. God bless!
I appreciate how your going through how these different implements work.
Oh Danny Corn the ground, the ground is calling
That tractor did that so pretty.
Crops are looking mighty good , praying that the harvest will be good for everyone.
Good morning Mr Danny and Ms Wanda. Those fields look great! I'm hoping that y'all have a fruitful harvest. Our corn is starting to grow after we replanted following the last freeze. 🌽
Good morning!
I have about six types of heirloom corn to try. Maybe the raccoons won`t steal it.
I do love the sound of a tractor! They really work well for small plants.

If it ain't Red, it stays in the shed!!
Nice garden. Good looking soil. Enjoying your videos from southern Michigan.
I have a 48 Cub I use in our garden. Were did you find those rear shovels. I can't find them anywhere.
At a local hardware store that handles different supplies.
That Farmall, is work of art ,very interesting...😊
Dream machine 😳
You and your little tractor doing a good job
My dad had an old Oliver tractor. He used it until it gave out on him. He kept it running with his inventive ways like you do Mr. Danny. Finally had to put it to rest in the back of the property where it still sits. I remember many a garden plowed with that old Ollie.
Awesome job Danny and Wanda. I’m like you Danny I like simple stuff things that aren’t overly complicated in. You know what I mean

I get it. My grandparents same. Always preaching at me.
So important putting those bolts back in and keeping the parts in one place. Especially on things you use every now and again.

Great videos of simplicity, and beauty of the old ways
Remember the times we spent half day setting up Farmall to plant garden they are great garden tractors but 3 point hitch sure is easier.
Good Morning, have a wonderful day! I do want to plant my sweet potatoes... Hoping to plant most of my garden this coming weekend ❤
The most beautiful garden
Danny I have been watching you and Wanda for 6 years. I have learned a lot from you two. Thank you. But seriously ya'll have not listened to me. I have asked questions and have been blown off. You have got a beautiful garden, keep up the good work and greetings from deep south Texas.
This makes me miss our old 140. I set many acres of tobacco behind it and plowed them with it a couple of times a year before it got too tall.
Boy that little cub just fires right up, ! Im proud for you, and good job out there in the field😉👍enjoyed that video , much appreciate you both , may GOD continually Bless you all
🙏🙏🙏♥️🙂👍. Good to see you use the tools and the joy that it gives you. I know it's a God thing 🙏
It sure is
Amazing how you take apart and put back the parts of your tractor. You and Wanda have absolutely beautiful gardens. You make what the good Lord gave you look amazing...Mrs.Steve
Thank you very much!
Looks good Danny
Fresh plowed earth looks so pretty and smells so wonderful. Reminds me of being with my grandpa (pop pop). Even my daddy worked with tractors similar to yours. I just remember it was red. 🥰
Words well spoken about the cub but hey Danny Joey will let you borrow his glasses lol man that garden looks so beautiful

👌Now , that’s how a garden should be cultivated.
Everything looking good Danny and Wanda! Great video!
Good job Danny! I've always enjoyed plowing (cultivating) corn and peas especially! You can't beat the Farmalls!
Yes i plant my sweet potatoes Sunday
Cultivating.
Soil looks real good.
Love that little tractor.
Great video, Wanda! So interestin how all the parts are arranged on the Cub!
I'm amazed! FARMALL should also be called DO ALL. Nice ride.
Yes, if you have the correct tool to do a job, it makes the job so much easier
Wow, that’s perfection
Good morning. Looks so pretty and peaceful. Happy Gardening 👨🏿🌾💚
Good morning!
That farmall is the Bees nees!@
Great video as always. Cudos to Wanda a great videographer.
Really enjoy the cub videos. Always interesting to see how it works. Someday hope to find an old small tractor like a cub or L series. Wishing you both a blessed day.
Good morning Danny n Wanda you beans are looking awesome
That's an awesome job plowing the beans they are looking so good hope you have a great harvest
The corn is looking awesome too
He is doing a fine job, lovely tractor
We had our last frost last night 🤞 Fingers crossed for luck. But I'm out here now, been out since around 7 am taking a break now. I got a lot done so far. Southeast has another cold shot coming in around 10 days.
@Deep South Homestead I'll have my eyes on it I'm in Central Pennsylvania 6b
The only thing I would different is I would use the sweep plows behind the back tires
You have all that growth and even here in SC we had a killing frost a little over a week ago. And its been too wet to get into the garden to do anything. That Farmall Cub sure is fancy!
Fine Job Danny. I thought I heard you say that was a reproduction hopper. That Hopper you took off is Original IH. The reproduction hoppers have plastic buckets that one looked like fiberglass. Enjoyed. 👍
My original one I have is a galvanized one. I started to use it. It really works a lot better than this one.
We only got the plow the ground and lay the rows with the tractor, we had to cover it up by hand and hoe the weeds out by hand. Man that was hard work😅
Danny , they need too bring back that tractor it make it look easy. The new tractor it’s just not that simple.
Still really cold up here north. Only thing coming in are the leafy greens and they're struggling.
Sure am glad you are keeping it SIMPLE!! That was a joke, right?? Simple for mechanically inclined people!! Not me. Lol
I do see the value of using only a cresent wrench to attach and arrange all those bits and pieces.
Garden looks good. Thank you for the video. 😊
Wow! A lot of knowledge here 😊
Christ's Risen, happy Easter!
I have to plant yellow wax beans and purple beans because I can’t see the green beans to pick. I’m not giving up gardening just making adjustments.
Good Morning! Love it! totally awesome to watch video! Thank you!
Good morning!
Listen to that cub run!!!
I used to have a Farmall Cub with a belly mower
Just subscribe to you That's a nice garden you got We used to have big gardens when we were at home We used to use a super C And it had all that stuff on to it that was a good tractor Mere fact I'm putting in 2 gardens pretty soon Right now I'm putting some fence around them Stay safe and have a good day Get you on the next one
Good morning 😊, your Danny corn is looking great!
Good morning!
At the moment we're hauling stuff with the HOMEMADE farmall cub

The 12 Volt system will turn the starter good now on the Farmall tractor
That is an awesome old tractor I would love to have. I have a 140. My question is why would you disassemble the entire planter if you were going to use totally different tool bar and plows. 2 nuts loose and slipped out of the lift feet and I would have removed the whole planter just like on a 140.great video and greater old tractor.
It's so heavy with a bad back.
Good morning. It's always a pleasure watching you working with the farm all tractor. Wishing all a great week. God bless you both.
Good morning
You know those cubs can still be had for a fairly reasonable price. Did u ever think about having 2 cubs each one set up a different way. So you can just get on it and go when u have a job to do. And no worry about changing things around. Just a thought.
This one cost many thousand dollars.
Nice work! You called that a plow. We always called it a cultivator.
In the south you hardly ever here the word cultivator.
