I recently went to my local film shop, & they recommended portra 400 & fuji x-tra 400 but I’m unsure those are best fit for this camera. What do you think?

Not sure what I’m doing wrong
the film counter is an indicator only for an estimate of how many shots u get. it may not have all the numbers, eg. 1, 4, etc. also, it resets whenever you open your film door. if u're able to advance to the next frame and trigger the shutter, it shd be fine. If it doesn't move even after finishing the roll, probably a faulty film counter.

Hi. Everytime we take a photo (half frame), do we need to wind to the next frame. Or will we have to wait till we use the next half or frame before we do so.

hello! thank you so much for this quick start guide. I just have a question -- I've already taken a couple of shots but the counter remains at S. after a while, I noticed it may be because the spin knob wasn't completely pushed back. when I pushed it back and took a shot, the counter has moved to 1. does this mean the previous shots were not taken?

Can u take the film anywhere to be developed? I've heard of some people not getting theirs developed because it's 2 shots per frame or something like that
usually, it's fine, as 2 half frames is technically = 1 frame. though it's always better to check with the lab. it really depends on their system/settings and services they use and provide.
Hi! at 1:20 of your video, it's mentioned that if the film is loaded properly, the rewind knob should turn when advancing. However, mine does not seem to be advancing! any way i can rectify it? thanks :)
sometimes, the film in the canister is loose, therefore will take a few more shots to tighten, then u will see it move.

The rewind knob doesn't turn when advancing but it was hooked on properly and moved before I closed the back. Does it always mean the film isn't loaded properly if the rewind knob doesn't turn? How can I fix that?
sometimes, the film is loose in the film canister, therefore doesnt move as much the first few frames.

if the film is rewind in the canister, it's fine. never ever open the film door mid way thru the film.
Can you open the back of the camera while using or even being halfway through the film, like will opening the back mess anything up

When u send the film to be developed at the lab, u can request them to be scanned as softcopy instead of having them printed out.
Mine already have more shot than the indicator say, the indicator was back to s, but my camera still able to take a shot, i wondering it will break the film and the camera gear, what happen if the actually film at the final frame?

three questions: does film get ruined with heat, is it bad to keep opening the door while film is loaded and is it bad to rewind the film while the back door is open and exposed to light. am i supposed to rewind it while it’s closed?
u shd not beexposing the unexposed film to light. heat does affect the film, though not too sure on the limits of the film in regards to the temp and duration.

the higher the iso, the more sensitive the film is to light. so really depends on the conditions u'd be shooting in.
What happend if my knob loosely advance but my film still andvance and im able to shoot (ive checked inside and i forgot to press the knob before loading the film) will my film be ok or do i need to reload it?

not too sure what u mean, but there's a film counter to estimate how many shots you've taken.

@@raissa2365 ah understood the question now. For 2 pictures in 1 scan, it really depends more on the photolab, how they scan your films. Eg, If u have 1 frame blank/unexposed, the next 2 frames might be scanned together. There are labs who scan the images individually as well, so do check with the lab.

without film, u will not be able to advance, therefore shutter will not work.
Hi! Why my new camera doesn’t have flash when I use it? I already use a lot of new batteries but still not working.
Assuming the steps was done properly as per video, it may be the flash is faulty. May wanna check with the shop.
When the camera is not in use, should the battery be left inside? Is it okay to just remove it?
it's better to remove the battery if not in use for some time to prevent battery leaks.
Hey I’ve heard that some peoples cameras end up blank at the end of the whole film how do I check to make sure that isn’t happening
there're amny reasons why the film turn out blank, that's why we have this tutorial to 'lessen' the incidents.

Hey, the film is loaded and clicking and going to the next half frame. But the rewinder isn’t spinning. I’m assuming this is fine? My worry is just when it comes time to rewind the film..

hi!! Hoping you can help. I just got this camera and whenever I wind it up to the next shot, the little windy spiny thing (where the film goes) doesn’t move. But the wind took moves and the numbers are counting. Everything seems to be working fine except for that. Is something wrong with it? Thank you!
I feel like I’m explaining this horribly I’m sorry😭 the wind tool works and it spins, it’s just that you said both the wind tool has to make the spinny one move but that one isn’t moving😅

I just got mine today and when I advance the film, the rewind knob does not move. It only moves a small bit. 1:20

@@Juliaaaaaaaaaa123hi👋🏻. Unfortunately you can't do more photos now :(. You have to roll it up like on the video and then take it out. For this tape it's over. You can put another one and start again.

I dropped my camera and I opened the back to see if everything was still intact. But I forgot that you’re not supposed to open the back where the film is. Are all the photos I took now ruined? The film was only exposed to light for a second or two. Does it affect the photos at all? Because I’d be really sad if all my pics are now ruined because there are a few really good ones
It really depends which parts of the negative is exposed to light. Some may have minor light leaks, eg. If the negstive is rolled up probsbly the top layer will have the most issues being exposed to light. .

usually, yes. though there may be other reasons when u can't advance the film. eg. fault camera, film stuck etc. would advise to check the film counter as well, to see if it's +- the end of roll.

This camera doesn't have an on off switch and if it doesnt use flash, it doesnt need battery, right?
the shutter can still trigger if there is no battery.

Since it has fixed aperture and shutter speed, you should choose the film speed depending on your light conditions. I'm guessing you could use anything from 100 iso and up

Shooting a roll of 24 would max the counter out at 12 frames, so if shooting 36 frames the counter has to reset.

u wont be able to advance further when it reaches the next shot.
If you have loaded 36 exposure films you multiply it by 2. You'll get 72. Sometimes if you load carefully you'll get 73-74 images
I got this camera today and ruined at least 15 exposures because I did something wrong and had to take out the film and reinstall it but that's because I was new to it well I guess I need to save up for new film then.
we all make mistakes. if u've learnt something from it, it's a good thing.

Help my bf accidentlly opend the cover at the back exposing the film for 3 seconds. Then the shot counter restarted with the . Can i still use thr remaining film? We have the same cam hehe
if back cover is opened, the negatives not in the canister are most probably exposed to light. u can continue shooting the rest of the film, but the counter will not be accurate as it has been reset.
