Naomi is a bag of chips and then some but depending on your age and/or your knowledge of fashion, there was an era of Black models that dominated fashion runways in the late 60s early 70s where designers requested Black models because of their exotic beauty, incredible walk and the drama they brought to the runways. That dropped off later because fashion changes, which is why there is so much recent backlash with lack of diversity on runways. Naomi simply walked through a door those models created. She took it from there but she is not the first. Taking nothing from her success, just stating fact. WOW.....WHERE did you get this footage from, and HOW can I get it? I truly remember this series AND I remember recording this particular segment (only for my younger brother to record over it). I've often wondered if this series ever got put on DVD. She did another documentary called "Naomi Conquers South Africa" where she planned a fundraiser fashion show for underprivileged children in South Africa. I saw it on VH1 years ago....I would hope to get that on DVD (if it exist) also.
