      @patriot8087 can you explain the saying "salt of the earth"

    • @johnhpalmer6098
      @johnhpalmer6098 11 місяців тому +3

      @@josemarron6159 Generally speaking it can mean respect for individuals who deal with difficult/demanding situations without any fuss or complaints as definition #1
      Definition 2; (a christian definition) to promote and stimulate good growth of good things (comes from the Bible).
      Definition 3; Something people did to destroy their enemies, rather than blessing them.
      In the case of Grandma Lolly, she has been, and always will be a mother, is humble, has a good sense of humor and is NOT afraid to utter the occasional profanity and is just herself. That is, she loves her sons, still brings lunch, be it bought, or made, She also encourages play and loves her grand kids.
      The fact that she runs the shack at Fab Rats means she gets to hang out with the gang a bit more regularly, especially since Grandpa Sherm (her husband) has passed on, I think last year. She, to me is the salt of the earth in a good way.

      @@josemarron6159 (Matt. 5:13) is arguably the best-known example. To this day, people use the phrase to describe good, honest, humble people.

    There's only one thing missing on your wrecker, and that's some outriggers at the back, because while stationary you're often pressing it down more than you're lifting.

      Thank you for knowing the proper term.I said; "They need Rams to stake into the ground so it won't move"; but not realizing they'd "Wheelie" wasn't why I'd said this at their start.I thought it'd get pulled downhill from lack of weight.Good call.

    • @graememckay9972
      @graememckay9972 11 місяців тому

      I think outriggers were mentioned during the build. They said they would air up the bags to stop it dropping and outriggers wouldn't work because they need to be able to adjust the boom and move the truck while still pulling/ lifting. I certainly think they would be a great option for static pulls.

    On this Independence Day, as we all celebrate our freedom, I would like to highlight something your long-term viewers might forget about and of which your newer viewers might be unaware. It was not so long ago that you worked a job, a demanding job, and grabbed whatever free time you had to work your hobby and passion. Things seemingly were tighter for you and your family then (as they are for so many of us today - I'm as old as your dad would have been and I still work 7 days a week). You scrounged parts from your dad's barn, you brought home treasures from the dump, and Michele had a full-time job in addition to running a household and raising the kids. But y'all stuck it out and made your bones. You were able to retire from the other job and devote yourself to your interests and this channel. It looks to be paying off! You and yours seem to be thriving and doing fine. But you have not abandoned your values. This is 100% American role model stuff here. Be proud; we are proud of folks like you as well.

    Is THAT a new T-shirt slogan I just heard at 1:38? "TIRE GOIN' DOWN" or at 2:12 "SEEMS LIKE WE JUST DID THIS" 😋 FAB Rats rule! We do it nice,! Cuz we do it twice!

    I grew my beard when I got out of the Army. Seventeen years later I shaved it off at work and surprised my wife. After the initial shock (she'd never seen me without it!), there was secondary shocks each morning when she'd wake up next to a stranger. Started the re-growth right after that.
    I wouldn't want to be in the same building when that ghost pepper made a re-appearance the next day!

    Sean you definitely look different. Not better or worse just very different. We had a dog that his hair would grow out so much that he looked really big and healthy but then after a hair cut he looked completely different and gooood looking. He is a legend around here. My wife the first time she saw me after I shaved off my mustache she first asked me what was wrong with me? Minutes later she asked me (standing tor to toe) what was wrong with my lip. She is very observant. 44 years later she is still amazingly observant. Keep on guys, loving it here.

    Hey, guys! Water does not help with chile pepper fire. Milk helps a little. But the best is--Limeade! Limes do something that makes the heat bearable; don't know what. Of course, a nice fresh margarita would be an acceptable substitute.

    You should fill the Tyres with helium gas so they are lighter to take off at times like these. Plus you could have some fun when pressuring down
