"you don't know jack sheet" - Anna
This game can be tough for the Murderer at times. The manual lists a few rules that can help out Jack. Apart from those rules we have another house rule where if Jack reaches his location before 15 moves, he will get the remaining extra moves carried over to the next round. This can be simply achieved by Jack not resetting his move marker once he's reached a location. This kinda rewards Jack for reaching his location early, offering him more moves on the next turns so that he can try to confuse and out manouvere the cops the next few rounds.
I succeeded in arresting a friend in Letters From Whitechapel on my first move one time. You're not wrong, it was awesome. To be fair, he was drunk. But, I refuse to let that taint my joy.

I've not played this one but it reminds me of a game that I enjoyed as a lad called Scotland Yard.
My thought exactly. It looks like a much more involved Scotland Yard.
They play similarly, and there's also Letters from Whitechapel. But this one, Whitehall, is the best one of the bunch. It feels more balanced and is more fun to play. If you liked Scotland Yard at all, or if you just felt like something's missing, and it's not quite there, I would recommend trying Whitehall Mystery.

@@konstantinkh I agree but even Letters from Whitechapel is quite beauty, too. These games look like better than Scotland Yard because there are more particulars. Letter from Whitechapel It's more complex than Whitehall because the match is divided into four nights and there are a lot of phases that you must remember.. so I prefer this one. Whitehall looks like more linear, even if it's 'breaking-mind' like the others.

Having played a few games, it's _very_ hard to win as Jack. If you have competent investigators I'm willing to call it impossible, but it's still a fun game because there's a thrill in the chase.

I agree, but then chat could let slip information to Matt, who shouldn't have that information.

Speaking of secret hitler my friends won't let me play it with them because 80% of the time if we randomly hand out the cards in our group of 7 I get the hitler card.
We once played 10 rounds, and I was a liberal all 10 times. They kept suspecting me because they thought I had to be Hitler eventually.

The rules are silent on this, but I think it's unsporting to write down the possible locations. The game is so skewed against Jack in the full game (where the police get their abilities) that the police really should have to operate on their potentially-false memories alone. Consider, the red and blue police abilities say make a move AND do the special movement. It's not an exact copy of Jack's ability, it's significantly better.

Y'all should play escape from the aliens in outer space. It is also a hidden movement game.
i dont know if there are variations for this Game, but to add on more villains, and or to change the chased to Heroes. and keep same Game Play rules. for example: with jack the ripper along with other Thieves and Criminals, or a Vampire/Dracula.. and they have to hurry from one dead body to the next, using their own personal copy of the map, and each Detective would ask same number of questions to each of the villains. 'have u gone past #48?. and there be .. more than one villain I-operating individually in the same game with Dets seeking any and all of them, with the 15 round move rule for each Villain. //
So, this is "Ep. 2A" so is there an "Ep. 1" anywhere? I'm just curious because I want to binge watch these videos while doing my arts and crafts :) (Watching paint dry is boring. Watching MCDM while waiting for paint to dry is much more fun.)

@22:40 Tom got moved for 3 spaces instead of just 2 it didnt matter in catching Anna's trail but a slight oversight how the dots are connected.
Wasn’t one of the special ability a 3 spaces movement?

Anna trying to copy Schmucks strat from Episode 1? 165,178 and 78 are the same body locations...I am not 100% sure about 53 but thats also really close.
I think the body location was panic mode more than anything else. Like "they are onto me, I got to kill now and try to lose them" kind of thing, since she could alley-walk anywhere near the two bridges leading to the right bottom corner of the map and take boat across to the last quarter. At least I guess that was the idea.

Problem with these games is when one player can basically play all three players :( Looks good, but given the players' characters can't communicate, I would say they can't communicate as players every round. If we were to play this I would ask each player to just play their character based on what they know; not planning with each of the other characters/players that whole time.
I like the game Space Alert as it plays out in real time, with the time constraint you get less of the "one player controls everything" situation. Actually now that I think about it, it would be very amusing watching MCDM play Space Alert. Imagine going from taking 1 hour to play 1 turn, to having to play an entire game in 10 minutes.
the perma asking for location where they couldnt ask for should automatically forfeit the game.
These vids would be a lot better if you cut out all the chatter about "do I know the rule right, I dunno..."
there have been many different interpretations of 'Jack' and his story. it might not be due to the norm that women were NOT known as surgeons or specialists of the Knives that would have performed the Tasks that 'Jack' did. That being said, could there have been a female with such trained talents from that time period? and go unnoticed? could 'Jack' have been a female? and perhaps if she was that her story may have been a very intriguing one. a Female serial killer of other females. Could she have had her husband Taken by disease (by having slept/touched the ladies of the night that death indeed did meet up with) ?. may have her motives to Kill be over the profession and how these women of the night were More Accepted by society at large than this 'Jack' being a female that wanted to surgeon. ?? females were NOT allowed to perform such services but they sure were Able to Lead the Nation, and if a lady can Order to that fact be called Upon a Crown, could Another lady of Royal Blood have been trained in secret and later a Rage depression turned Outward, Act out against the women of the night that were Accepted as Professionals, while she even with Royal blood was not accepted to become a surgeon or a Dr or anything but an ornament. /?? many questions.. only a imagine than nation away .. i have seen most of the 'Jack' stories played by countless actors.. all of them were Men. Anna is the first female I have seen to portray the Role of 'Jack', as a female. / interesting Game. but regardless, even if 'Jack' (name of a female within the Universe of Riddick) is a female.. she has to be stopped.. /
This might be a decent game if the investigators couldn’t collaborate. As it is, it’s slow, boring and they gang up. And what do they use to communicate? Pigeons?
I don't think it's supposed to be happening all at once, it's simulating a multi-day investigation. Each turn is a day and the rounds are the time between murders.
Emperor Paulpatine It’s an abstract game so it’s a moot point anyway.. The problem is email the kind that the players take accounting potential move and coordinating.. Hi dad some locations and only allow players to say which one they’re moving toward. And put some kind of time limit on turns.
