Those 150mm rulers are so handy for so many things, I've got about 6 of them attached to major spots and machines via magnets.👌🏽 Fantastic build, really nice plane storage rack, mate👍🏽
Well done , great little project. so simple yet works perfectly. goes to show you dont always need a complicated solution to a problem. and loved your idea of using the little steel rule to give that bit of clearance between each plane. again, simple but worked perfectly.
That's an awesome build! I very much enjoy your videos - you do a fantastic job of videoing and commentary, not to mention that actual woodworking. Well done! Simon from NZ

Hello there, A beautiful hand plane rack. I like to keep tools neatly in place. useful and visually great ideas. I also made a cabinet with sliding drawers for the router bits today. I'm trying to edit your video. Thank you for sharing the details. You always do good work. see you later. Big greetings.
Nice one Vic. Marc Spag.. Wood Whisp, made a tool cabinet a few years ago. he used rare earth magnets to hold the toe of the planes. This is an alternative, and the method I use. Of course a cost involved having to buy the magnets.
Great way to do this! I’ve seen a lot of “complex” ways of making a plane till…. This by far is the easiest I’ve seen! Great job my friend! -Tony , California
That turned out just right, Vic! So good to have a proper place for these tools, especially when they are vintage and worthy of being on display! The paint, is it oil or water based?
Paint and MDF, a match made in heaven. It's a nice clean result. 👍
That is so true, maybe the only good thing about MDF!
Also, it does not need sanding!
Thanks mate. MDF might not be good for much but its great for painted shop projects
Awesomes Vic. I really need a little block plane. Looks good up there.
Mate, I introduced myself to hand planes only recently and thoroughly enjoy them
nice and clean, love it Vic. Also love the little metal ruler as a glue scraper, worked a treat! 👍
They work so well for that and easy to clean too. Thanks Mario, got my fingers crossed for the big prize draw
Amazing that from leftover MDF you’ve made a storage solution for your planes mate, really well done Vic 🇦🇺🤘👍
Thanks Dirk, i think im just as chuffed that i had the perfect spot for it.
Great job and nothing more satisfying than turning a bit of scrap into something so useful.
Couldn't agree more mate. Thanks very much

Thank you very much Juliet. The paint is water based, a primer first then just regular paint.
