Parker Valby is the most talented runner and easily wins another 5000m conference championship. Parker is better than everyone. Parker has developed a dominant running style that makes her the best in the world. She has mental toughness and the intelligence to win more championships.
Parker Valby is very good. Here, natural prerequisites and talent as well as perseverance and willingness to work have produced an incredibly beautiful result. It is both a result and an art. Well that was a weird finish of the time clock adding up then going to 15:00 flat before the end of Parker's finish after timing to 15:04.6 even before she crossed the finish line, WTF ?!
@@conorgriffin2954 Duh! We already know that. Tell us something we don't already know. So what if this race was collegiate SEC. We can still ask about other runners, can't we, or can't you walk and chew gum at the same time?
@bluenetmarketing do you just ask about Katelyn Tuohy in all videos then? Why is her name coming up in the comments if she's not relevant to this video/race in any way shape or form? "College Division 5000m Final" video and you ask about a runner no longer in College...just ask about Alicia Monson, Elise Cranny, and Emily Infield while you're at it.

Arkansas with 4 in the top 8 (led by freshman Paityn Noe) outscored every other team including Florida in the 5k. And Noe's time was within a couple seconds of Valby's first SEC Outdoors time (15:32.41).
She could have run the first eight laps two seconds faster each without hurting herself. She can be the first female collegiate under 15 minutes unless her team needs her to run both the 5K and the 10K in the NCAA Championships.
Paris? She has to try to make the team even. Great collegiate runner but I really don't think she will have the racing skills to make the team in a pro field.

Her time doesn’t even meet the minimum qualifying time for the Olympics (14:52). There are quite a few women, including Americans, who have times that are substantially faster than her best, including at least two Ethiopians who are over a minute faster. She is a great collegiate athlete but she has a long way to go before she will even be competitive at the elite level. That’s not saying she won’t get there, but she’s definitely into there at this point in time.
To put this in international perspective, Vermont's Elle Purrier-St. Pierre just ran a 14.34 5000m at the L.A. Grand Prix. That is not meant to denigrate what Valby did, but that is what she will be competing against soon.
@@hairtoss7975 Absolutley. Valby may get there, and I certainly hope so, but she will go through the school of hard knocks as almost all collegiate distance runners go through during their transition.
And St. Pierre isn't the fastest in the world by any means. It will be interesting to see if Valby can keep her same "low mileage" training and succeed as a pro.
@@jimoconnor8597 Indeed, I was just posting that as a perspective and how extraordinary the competition is internationally. Elle's time ranks 183rd all-time and 5th fastest American time. wow, glad she's not alarmingly skinny anymore. Looked like she had gas in the tank, which is great. I agree sub15 is doable... but it's freaky hot right now. GJ P.V., she needs a nickname... some1 make it happen.?.?

I was so impressed by the athlete at @17:29 (third lane). Go girl, you are a true champ in my book.
that's Ashley Jones, she's amazing... and beautiful... she was my lucky # 8 up @ the JDL College Team Challenge
People don’t see the really hard work that goes into results like this , in the gym and miles of road work , she’s a great athlete ,
With her a skill and natural beauty, she must have every shoe company and apparel company banging down her door. What an amazing athlete.
She made 15:07 look comfortably easy 😅🤩. Well done young lady 🥳👏💪

Whenever you're sad, watch a Valby race and she will lift your spirits. Good sport.
She’s amazingly relaxed even after such a great result- she doesn’t even seem out of breath in her interview 😂
Very strong and very beautiful! congratulations to you and your family!

Destroys 5k collegiate record, blond, cute? That one?
Parker Valby only just gets cuter & cuter god-bless her.... little frozen princess / mermaid / cake-topper.

Can someone PLEASE give an update on the status of Katelyn Tuohy? The media is woefully SILENT on what is happening with her.
Hopefully, no news is good news!
Silent about what? This is SEC Champs (Katelyn ran in the ACC) and Katelyn also went Pro at the end of 2023 so she isn't competing collegiate anymore.
