You can explain very well. Please do a tutorial via the menu of the camera. There are so many ways to change things through the menu. There are far too few vidoes about the HC-X1. thanks
I'm still using the AC160 in 2021 but now looking at the HC-X1 for it's 4K 60fps capabilities. Do both models use the same batteries as I have quite a few that fit the AC160? Thanks for making this review, was very helpful.
I'm not on the batteries. I sold my AC 160 last summer and I've transitioned over to Sony mirrorless so I don't even use my Hc X1 anymore. The HCX1 is a nice camera. I wouldn't sell mine. It's a great upgrade to the 160
What about the image? Does the 160 match the X1? I have the 250 which I use for close ups and the 270 for medium shots and I use a GH4 for my wide shots. I had to create LUTs for each of these cameras to get them to match. I still have to tweak them a bit in post. Thanks for doing this.
Does the X1 have date & time codes on screen like the 160A? I'm interested in using the X1 for use in the legal industry and need onscreen date & time codes. Thanks!
Thank you for the review, could you get some interview setup footage...all the reviews have been outside or of things, I'd love to see an actual lit interview setup if possible? To see skin tones...
Thanks for your videos. I'm very interested to buy this camcorder but i have one little problem in my right eye. I need to know if the Pana HC X1 has face detection or similar AF. I will use to corporate films and weddings. Thanks a lot!.
VictorFilms It has auto focus and it works wonderfully. I absolutely love this camera and have no regrets buying it. I have poor vision as well and it hasn't been am issue. I highly recommend this camera!
illdaddyrod Thanks for your quick answer. I am looking the Canon XC15 too because i love the Canon colors but the Pana coming with a lot of features and different settings than the Canon it has not. Have you got an opinion about the Canon XC15??. It's possible to change the colors of the Pana?. Thanks a lot.
the review just ran on and on... and didn't really cover a whole lot of detail like features and filming capabilities of the cameras. If you wanted to do an honest and semi-unbiased review, a thorough side-by-side review, including multiple angles, different features and most important of all, videos that were shot by both cameras would have been super helpful. Being able to see shoots of the same thing side by side says volumes about a video camcorder's abilities and shortcomings. Short shots of the different camera functions is especially useful so the viewers can see what you are talking about, not just hear it. Just sitting and yammering about likes or dislikes is not useful no matter how knowledgeable you might be. I wasted 15 minutes of my time just watching pretty much the same thing as you yammered about the buttons and a few of the functions. And you did this from a single static angle of your camera. Sorry folks, but this video did nothing to impress me and I did not find it particularly informative or useful.

Ha, I've literally thrown my 160 2 or 3 times, it's still going strong!
