HIKMICRO Panther PQ50L preview and Bruce's TQ50C battery extension

HIKMICRO Panther PQ50L top-of-the-range LRF thermal scope: my first glance of what it can do.
I sneak in a first demo of the HIKMICRO Panther PQ50L LRF thermal scope, showing some of its capabilities. I’ve squeezed this in ahead of my Hill Pump review, which will then be followed by part 2/2 of our HIKMICRO Thunder TE19C review (covering dayscope add-on mode).
Plus Bruce isn't a fan of cabled power banks, so he shows us his recent accessory for his own HIKMICRO TQ50C, to triple onboard battery life from 1h40 to over 3hrs.

I was out with this tonight & shot three rats & two ferals, but didn't see any interference... maybe the recent firmware update fixed whatever that was? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Haha hi Carl, we just got home from a few days visiting my family, so I believe it arrives tomorrow. 🤞🤞🤞
...but yes Bruce and I will be reviewing it ASAP, although I also have an urgent requirement for some pest control. So I might actually zero and field test the Pard008S-LRF, before we get it on a Brucie bonus plate alongside an original 008LRF.
But fear not we will be doing a full man-cave review of it too... can hardly wait. 👏🥳

You should get Bruce to look through the back of his Krypton as he states in his TQ50C review that the Kryton uses the complete display. He's wrong. It only uses 960x720 resolution (which is clearly seen when looking through the rear of the device) if it was to use the complete screen there would be no way to adjust the internal collimination. No clipon uses the complete screen for this reason.

Hi Gavin, it would as it comes with a Picatinny mount, though that would lift the scope a fair bit.

@@KnowsleyVerminControl I've not analysed it, but initially had my first Pard008S-LRF fitted via this (while I waited eagerly for the EagleVisionCam compatible top rail for the 108MOA mount), and I had no issues, nor did I need any shimming.
Must admit at one point with my Maverick the zeroed reticle was off a bit to the left, but I found I just hadn't centred/jiggled it very well when mounting on the rifle's Picatinny rail.

Excellent video! We have a new extender coming out that is a little cleaner. Send me an email on my website and I’ll get you setup with a few to check out when we get them in. It’s the same thing but a little cleaner and more refined.
