Today's video...is about Love! Ah, see what I did there? Alright it's not that clever, but regardless, this was a fun, if tough one to do. Love's Tengumaru is a zanpakuto that we simply haven't seen a lot of, but the aesthetic and theming is very cool nonetheless.

Happy Valentine's Day! ❤In today's video, we're talking about love... Aikawa Love, that is! Let me know which of my ideas for Tengumaru's Bankai is your favourite and of course, leave your own ideas in the comments! And as always with these videos, I apologise for my rough sketches, but hopefully they get the message across - thanks everyone.
Okay so I had an idea for loves bankai .
It works by utilizing the defensive measures and the offensive measures of his zanpakuto.
When activated a giant meteorite begins descending from the very heavens above the meteorite having fire cascading over every part of it's surface.
Accompanying this meteorite is a giant hail of smaller rocks all seemingly ready to begin descending with it.
But there is a Twist however because the one meteorite the first one will never actually reach the ground until love gives it permission to.
Instead the purpose of this meteorite is to block out the opponents visual senses by creating a light which causes them to go temporarily blind whenever it is looked upon.
The main reason the main purpose that the bankai has is that it will cause people to not be able to see where the other meteorites are coming from causing them to slam into the opponents and become crushed underneath the weight.
It would have a weakness basically love would lose his physical weapon and it would harm even his allies.
But I feel that the simplistic design works very well.
If Love can’t choose who gets involved in the blood bath of BanKai idea #5 then that would be a banned BanKai like Shinji. Having everyone killing each other full force.
I like idea #3 the tengu trails. I can see Love having a gladiator like Bankai where it’s two fighters enter and one leaves.
Still waiting on Hanataro’s Bankai… maybe April fools. Though I forgot about Lisa and Hiyori so they might be next.
Happy Valentine's day Bleach Brethren!!! May I remind everyone including Mr Tommo something. A zanpakuto is a literal weaponized version of the Soul reaper soul itself. Their swords don't weigh anything to them. That's why they can wield them like they're a feather.(Isshin, Ichigo's father says it himself, Soul reapers also have to constantly control their levels of energy or lieutenant and captains would be carrying around swords the "size of sky scraper") this was also stated by series creator Tite Kubo, he stated that Ichigo's and other soul reapers swords are weightless. Kubos words: "Consequently, all Zanpakutō are weightless as Soul Reapers don't swing them with their muscles." Muscles and reactions speed that accompanies them can help the attacks overall speed and power tho, but they swing it with their soul not with their body as weird as that sounds to say. This has all been revealed despite Kira's blades ability. Though it would seem from his fight with the bird individual that it is actually more or less weighing down the reishi and energy itself, as opposed to the sword or wings themselves. The condensed reishi would be much heavier anyways. If they use that they can at least get away with Kiras abilities.. for example an average katana weighs 1 to 2 lbs, after like 3 or 4 strikes Rangiku can't lift her blade. I could still lift it... And I'm not trying to be disrespectful I'm just telling the truth, it would only weigh around 48 lb if it was hit five times. Now this would not make sense as the character has been shown capable of shattering concrete and lift/resist several tons of force... She has superhuman strength so lifting a katana even if it's weight is multiplied should not be an issue. It would make a lot more sense if she was having trouble lifting all the condensed reishi that she had in her sword at the time which would have weighed a lot more by comparison. Another example of uncontrolled reishi in bleach causing increased weight would be almost anytime somebody in the entire series is defeated in the air lol. Can you explain to me how Hallibel a woman that weighs less than 120 lbs total fell to the ground, causing a huge creator and launching dirt and debris up to 100+ ft in the air after impact. It's because when a bleach character is defeated and they stop focusing on controlling their reishi they literally just become a heavy dense mass of energy. You see that several times people falling and they create huge explosions with the shock wave of them landing, for the most part people in other animes dont have physics like that.
An idea I have for the Bankai revolves around people having skeletons in their closet as akin to an inner demon. It is 4 stages.
Stage 1: His Shikai reverts to an Asauchi. After planting the latter in the ground, a demon is summoned representing Love’s traumatic experiences. It can breathe fire and attack from the sky like a devil. If the opponent refuses to fight however, the demon goes away and the Bankai reverts to Asauchi. Defeating the demon leads to the next stage.
Stage 2: After the demon is beaten, the opponent begins to experience Love’s past trauma, forcing them to experience how he felt in those moment. A Gargantuan form of the demon from the first stage is stationary in the background. If the opponent happens to survive the experience or refuse to surrender, the 3rd stage is initiated.
Stage 3: Love and a smaller, more animalistic form of the demon can be seen. The latter hangs behind the former and can act independently of the former. They attack simultaneously, and the more despair Love feels, the stronger the demon gets. If the opponent gets past this, the final stage is initiated
Stage 4: Both Love and the opponent are sent to where Love’s most traumatic memories took place, and all the people he lost manifest to confront the latter. These manifestations cannot be harmed, and can damage the enemy through words alone. If the opponent tries to escape, they are seen into a pitch black maze where they must find a light at the end of the tunnel, all while hunted by multiple demons, who only increase in strength the closer the enemy is to the light. If they manage to find the light, once they go through it, they are free from the Bankai’s domain.
I typically prefer the simple thematic bankai, since making up an AOE effect or a giant summon feels like an easy solution, often boiling down to a manifestation of the pictured inner world/blade spirit.
The "lava" version works so well here because it can contribute a lot to explaining the size changes and bendability of his weapon. Tengumaru could be like a blacksmithing furnace, dispensing molten metal and emitting steam(so visually it can be more connected to the avian tengus).
In the Shikai, it's just reforging itself from within and lets off the built-up pressure in the form of fire blasts, but the Bankai permanently overheats the furnace and it's just spilling the molten flames everywhere constantly.

My take from few years ago:
So there is a theory floating around that Visored Captains Zanpaktou are based around various senses:
1. Rose - Hearing. Quite obvious since his powers are music based and can be nullified by loosing hearing.
2. Kensei - Touch. His Bankai Power is clearly touch-based and based on impact created once Kensei touches his target.
3. Shinji - Smell. Not everyone remembers but Sanakade is activated upon smelling and not seeing the release. Also not confirmed but wouldn't be surprised if his Bankai special ability not to distinguish enemy from allies also bases on smell somehow.
That leaves us with Vision and Taste
Some might argue that Aizen who has a relation to Visored (Not a pleasant one but still) represents Vision but I do believe he is more connected to manipulation of all 5 senses. There is also Tousen but he is more connected to loss of a sense than a sense itself.
Instead for Vision we can somehow connect it to Lisa (who herself became a Captain just by the Manga end) as her attacks are named around reading (to which we use our vision). Her attacks include Senmaioroshi (千枚卸, Thousand-Page Wholesale) and Nijū Ichijō Tonbokudari (二十一条蜻蛉下り, 21st Article: Dragonfly Landing). Also the look of her mask heavily is focuses on the vision part and some of her attacks are so fast an eye cannot catch them.
That leaves us withe last of the Visored Captains being Love. And last of the senses, somehow the most strange one if connected with any kinds of powers being Taste.
There is the common Glutton-like power which appears in various fandoms (including FMA and Seven Deadly Sins, as well as Liltotto in Bleach itself). I wanted to take a bit different approach here, though.
Since many people connect Division 7 with Living-being like Zanpaktou (mainly due to Komamura Bankai) there might be the idea of Love also having a summon-like Zanpaktou. The most obvious creature would be an Oni (to match his Mask and Shikai with the latter being connected to Fire.
To connect it all what if Love does not summon one but four different Oni and transforms himself into a 5th on.
Why 4 (5 with Love)? Well our tongue distinguishes 5 different tastes (until recently there were only 4 confirmed): Salty, Sweet, Sour, Bitter and Umami. I can see each of the Oni to have a bit different focus (one focusing on Strenght, one on Speed, another Defense Based, possibly a Long-ranged one and Love himself focusing on Intellect. To make it more interesting let's say each has a different color (Just imagine 5 different Susanoo from Naruto put together).
The 5-team with different colors and powers is a clear Super Sentai reference a series extremely popular in Japan (Power Rangers is it's Western adaptation) and Love himself is a fan of it. Love, of course, as the Leader would change into a Red one:-D But we would also have a Blue, Green, Yellow and either Black or Pink (would work good with Sweet taste but might be controversial as Pink is treated as a girly color and there was never a Pink male Sentai Ranger in all 44 Sentai Series). Another awesome concept would be for all the Oni to combine into one (a Gattai/Megazord formation, something which was used, for example, in One Piece Thriller Bark Arc as a clear reference).
To further strengthen this theory when Love was using his Shikai special attack: Hifuki no Koduchi he said to Tengomaru: It's gonna be a little hot, but tough it out... I know that the word Hot usually is associated to fire and high temperature but it can also be used to describe a very spicy food which somehow hurts our taste (one hate it while other love it).
Sorry for this very long theory but what do you think about it. Both the Bankai concept as well as the whole idea of connecting Visored Captains and their powers with different senses?

My theory was always that Tengumaru's secret is that instead of being a Club, it was actually a giant plant, similar to a cactus, and the reason it could catch fire was that it's exterior was incredibly dry. So when Love swings it with all that force, it would ignite like a match! So for a bankai, I could imagine love planting this cactus into the ground and having it grow like a massive, dome shaped bulb around a certain area, trapping him and his opponent inside. The gimmick of this bankai would be that the interior of the dome rapidly absorbs moisture, making everything dryer and dryer, to the point that if you move to quickly, u could possibly catch fire. The remaining handle of tengumaru's shikai would lose its wrappings to reveal a massive iron pole-club or Billy club.
Your idea mixed with his Bankai #5 idea. Overall it's a battle frenzy Hell hole of rage, violence and fire, that also drains users of their reiatsu to fuel the flames. Toughest survives and winner absorbs the reiatsu of the user to heal and replenish reserves leaving only ash like a cactus in a desert
If Loves Bankai is the Lava Area of Effect option, it makes sense why he would not have used it against the Arrancars in Karakura Town.
I didn’t get any actual Valentine’s Day gifts, so this is a pleasant surprise.

(I'm also biased because on one of my first dates with my wife we watched the Pixar cartoon "Lava," and later we honeymooned in Hawaii and saw a lava plume erupting.)

I found it weird that Love never returned to being squad 7 captain at the end of the series. It makes sense that Hiyori wouldn’t want to take Nemu’s position as she would have to work under Mayuri. But as for Love, no clue.
well why would he want to return? He was betrayed and had no love for the soul society. It’s realistic that he wouldn’t
He probably enjoys his freedom and doesn't care to retake his old job. Normally a shinigami captain doesn't have the luxury of retiring because of the laws of Soul Society, so Love and Isshin are kind of enjoying an unoficial retirement.
Kyoraku would definitely approach Love before considering Iba for promotion. Iba himself doubts his capability even after his promotion, despite his continued training efforts.
I always saw Love’s zanpakuto as more combustion than actual fire with an oni/ogre theme, with his bankai becoming more traditional style kanabo with bigger blasts with each strike of it while Love gains a tiger skin pelt to add protection to him from the blasts of fire and heat. The last one sounds the most plausible to me as he feels like a gentle giant but a great monster lurks underneath it all.
I think a good bankai idea for Love would be a sort fusion of your 1st and 2nd ideas, where lava starts spewing out from his zanpakto and then the lava would be shaped into looking like it has a tengu head and hands, he’d be able control the lava’s direction, generate multiple heads or hands, and even create lava balls which he could hit and launch with his club, basically it be like him summoning a giant lava muk😅.

I absolutely love the complex Bankai, but I feel like in Love’s case, simplicity is best. Imagine his zanpakuto’s Bankai gives him armor reminiscent of a tengu combined with something as simple as the first Bankai idea. After all, I believe Love mentioned that the flames hurt Tengumaru also
Piggybacking on the theory mentioned in another comment, most of the Vizard Captain’s powers are related to a sense; Rose-hearing, Kensei-touch and Shinji smell. That leaves Love with a power related to taste.
So, based on that and the fact that his Shikai looks like a giant cactus or more specifically like a one branched Sahuaro (cactus native to Mexico and Arizona in the USA), upon activation of his Bankai, many branches protrude from his shikai, making it look more like a cactus/Sahuaro with several branches. With this, he gets some sort of strength boost and each time he receives/inflicts damage, the thorns start collecting energy until the point that one of them blooms into a Sahuaro’s fruit called pithaya or cactus pear. If Love consumes this fruit (hence related to taste), he is enveloped in a strong fire aura which includes a flame tengu mask. This either makes him berserker/overwhelmingly strong and can stack more fire power if other fruits bloom (doesn’t heal him because that would be OP and very similar to Yumichika).
Instead of a fruit maybe it's cactus juice that makes you see giant mushroom clouds😆

I feel like, if they want to continue with the "living zanpaktou" portion of squad7 as well as the yokai style, a bankai themed around the Hyakki Yagyo, more of the summoning of it. The Hyakki Yagyo is a very popular idiom and used in a lot of yokai-centric anime works as legit a whole group of various yokai, akin to a pandemonium. Its possible that one of the main in plot reasons Love hasn't released his bankai is that he, essentially, summons about a hundred/thousand monsters he most likely does not have much control of because he hasn't proved to them that he's worth leading them (hence why he gets the oni, said the one of the strongest of the yokai).
Another choice, following more into the oni aspect, comes from the tale of the Red Oni and Blue Oni. His bankai could easily "split him up" into two versions of the oni, after transforming slightly into one. With two minds, he could easily make use of it in various situations, as they share a link?

Tengumaru shrinks to the size of a baseball bat as the area is pelted by a meteor shower, big chunks of flaming rock falling from the sky, already a powerful force of destruction, the Bankai’s true potential comes when Love hits the meteors with tengumaru, redirecting them into high speed projectiles with even greater destructive power

These ideas are great. In my mind several of these elements make up a fantastic Bankai. I think since we've never seen him use it we could safely assume it isn't suited for battle (irony that isn't without precedent), or is one that would affect all who are in the area so it can't be used with allies around. Focusing on the Tengu was brilliant, but I keep focusing on it looking like a cactus. Combine that with fire and I see his Bankai transporting all affected to a vast desolate desert. He, perhaps, activates it by slamming the handle into the ground so Tengu stands upright like a cactus as the heat sets in and all moisture evaporates. Then (because I love the dark unwieldy world idea) a fight to the death ensues in the wasteland. Both combatants though I tested continuously throughout by mirage that force them to face their goals or desires being withered away like flesh in direct sunlight. The conditions continue to harshen, twisters, sand storms, giving way to flaming tornadoes, all the while, Tengu grows, shifts, and morphs until it blossums into a beautiful desert flower that has sapped all reiatsu from all fighters. At which point if there wasn't a victor, all perish. (Or something like that.)
I really enjoyed the third idea and the fifth. Love does have a really awesome design since he's pretty much a Shinigami Oni. I like the idea of tapping into unhinged demonic power. I feel like there could be a merge of the two ideas. While the summoned Tengu attempts to one shot the opponent, Love who is now bare handed gains a massive physical boost. Flames leak from his eyes and mouth (or through the teeth and eye holes of his mask) and he vanishes in blurs of flame PUMMELING the opponent into a stun state where the Tengu unleashes its final blow. Imagine a shot where Love is floating high in the sky, with the Tengu below where it just struck with a colossal battlefield encompassing flame.
There can be a drawback like the boost in physical power quickly burns away at his Reaitsu, so he's encouraged to get the stun on his opponent as fast as possible. He could tap into some Kyoraku and go for dirty hits like pressure points or vital organs.
Didn't even watch yet but because it's Love I had to leave a like already! Such a unexplored and cool character and one of my favourites! Will watch the video now lol
BANKAI!!! He turns red and his shikai either splits open to reveal or transforms into the tengu.
He now has super strength but is stupid and gets mad…. The tengu tells him what to do now and casts spells on the environment / enemy…. bankai complete….Jexes was here
In combining the wind and fire motifs, consider when the bankai activates, the flames rage so strongly that they suck in oxygen around them (as well as everything else in the vicinity) to create the wind effect.
Out of all possible characters for this series to continue with I was actually hoping for Love next and it's fitting this vid is on Valentine's Day
I've always thought that his zanpaktou I'd power dealt with the absorbsion and release of stored energy in the way of fire or explosions never knew his zanpaktou was fire based even so that doesn't effect my idea I still think a Bankai and expanding shikai for him could definitely incorporate using fire in varied strength of controlled explosions
I like the idea of the last concept but, the area strips them of all abilities and it just becomes a hand to hand fight to the finish and they just beat the hell out of each other

I always imagined Love's bankai as some kind of fire-shooting cannon. I think his style emphasizes big strikes and the flame from the club makes me thing of a big explosion. Love reminds me of the saying "speak softly, and carry a big stick", but Star Wars gave a slightly different one. "Speak softly, and drive a big tank."
With that said, I wasn't aware of the tengu references and I find them very interesting. Kind of makes me wish we saw more Tengu lore in Bleach.
Ya know I got a super soft spot for love, when I got my first full tang sword from my brother it was loves sword. It still sits on my wall to this day and I hope we learn more about him in the future
i think it would be cool if Love adopted his own theme almost entirely. The horns on his hollow mask would elongate in an orangish/redish flame and the cracks and crises of the mask would flow with an almost lava like flame. The rest of his body would be dawned with a ghoulish/bone armor with flames streaking across his body, turning him into a flaming yokai/oni. His zampato would be coated in a forever flowing lava, this lava constantly drip from his sword and she would use that in battle, spewing, and throwing the molten flame apart his enemies as he battles.

I imagine it being something like Soi Fons bankai. Upon using the release command nothing seems to happen, but as the fight drags on, Tengumarus shikai begins to inflate like a balloon with each clash. At a point of Love's choosing, he utters a second command, causing the club to detonate with the combined force of each hit delivered and taken by the club itself, resulting in a much larger and much more powerful explosion

It might be simple, but I actually like the second idea best for Love. At the end of the day is he is a bit like a kid at heart that reads Jump and just loves big over the top/cool things. You could argue that this love for Jump/manga is also a part of why he is connected to yokai one of the most persistent themes in shonen manga. And is shikai is also a good example of that, just being a gigantic club and probably the biggest shikai in the whole series.
So I think his bankai being a huge over the top demon coming out and destroying everything makes sense, though it is nice if he can't control it himself, since it hints at something deeper and darker in his character and maybe that he still haven't fully embraced that part. And if it is like Tengen Myou, but just much bigger and even more destructive, it would make sense why he is reluctant to use it. He simply cannot be certain the collateral damage won't be too great.

Of all the bankai and shikai that haven’t been revealed in Bleach, for some reason, Love’s bankai has always intrigued me the most. His giant spikey caveman like club that emits fire is just so strange that I just have to know what it becomes as a bankai.
My favourites are the lava Bankai and the firestorm Bankai with the kite wings. I love Bankai theory videos, and I hope Hinamori Momo is next; I actually have an idea for her Bankai
Given its powers and its size, I really think that Love's shikai should have just been made its bankai, it would have just been a simple enough way to get it out there, but for some reason Kubo thought keeping Love's powers hidden in his pocket would have been somehow useful, as if Love would ever get a chance to do something again.
Your ideas were much more drastic than mine. My idea had more to do with how "elastic" his club seems to be. My thought was parts of the club melt into liquid, and he can manipulate just how big/small/shape it has to attack with molten but solid metal.
Love is an awesome character, hope they give him a good showing in the TYBW anime!
From what we have seen from his shikai. It remind me of meteor catching fire and burning up as it enters earth atmospheres. So if Tengumaru either acts like a meteor when using it fire base abilities or it generates its fire through friction. I personally would like his bankai to go the route of the meteor. It either begin a one hit kind a of bankai. Where it summons a massive asteroid. Or maybe his cudgel would shrink to a normal size. Then serval meteor in the shape of his shikai would be summoned around him. He could fire them at will or they would follow the swings of his cudgel. Their heat and speed would be immense. They would also reform if destroyed.
Saw someone go for the comet-meteor angle, which seems fitting. Wikipedia said something about the word Tengu being used/derived from a comet; don't know if it's accurate, but if Tengumaru's command is about crashing down, I can see a strong connection
Loved all of the ideas for his Bankai!! I'm sure it will involve fire though 👍
I think Heat would be an interesting idea for Loves Zanpakuto, with the whole inconsistent size of his Shikai I think having it inflate and deflate change size and the more hot air he stores in his club the bigger his fiery attacks get, its simple which kind of fits him, and his Bankai would be either simply stronger and bigger fire blasts or maybe the ability to add heat to other things.

I think the first bankai idea best suits what we've seen of his capabilities. The other ideas sound and look amazing in terms of theme and scope, but seem to put him at a head captain power level. His should probably be closer in scale to his Vizard counterparts like Kensai and Rose.

The abstract bankai have always been my favorite. I think your third and your fifth idea are amazing. Multi-stage and extremely thematic or character resonate make for the best bankai.
I particularly like how Love has to survive his own unleashing of the sword. Fitting for a Captain of the 7th that has a blade capable of overtaking them

I really like a union between the first and second options: Love evokes a giant tengu (Susanoo style) capable of emitting hot waves and lava
Love should've returned as the captain of the 7th division instead of making Iba a captain
How about this,
When Love activated bankai Tengumaru's form compressed into a smaller Kanabou where the design gains an even horrific and demonic looks with the spikes elongated as if horns and at the top had sharp teeth like closed mouth.
The ability of this bankai absorbs heat of the surrounding in rapid pace and charging the kanabou and Love. The absorption cause the surrounding getting colder and colder till it's affect the opponent's movements. While the surrounding area getting extremely cold, Love and his zanpaktou get to extremely high temperature but could only be feel if there's physical contact adding to the weird supernatural effect. Each of the strike releasing huge explosion of fire that instantly burn the opponent and the longer Love activate his bankai the higher his temperature gets and surrounding get extremely colder and colder.
You should do a theory video on what you believe the rest of Squad 0s bankai’s could be had they chose different members to be the lone survivor as opposed to Senjumaru

I've always thought loves zanpakuto to be like a cactus, and his rejatsu water. The more he feeds to it the more it grows, and the fire comes from the 'desert sun'. But I suppose that's a bit influenced by the general theme with vizards and arrancar and desert.
Love this video and love Love for, like a lot of others have described, his awesome aesthetic like how others dig other minor characters accordingly. Really wish he got more shone, like leading the others who stayed in the living world after the TYBW or even going back to the Gotei 13 as the Squad 7 captain.

I just have to say your concept art is so impressive and does a really good job of showing the Bankai ideas. Also might be a little out there but I like to think Love’s Zanpakto isn’t actually a fire type but instead is able to utilize multiple elements we just don’t get to see (like a thunder mallet technique in shikai). Obviously there’s not really a precedence for this but I think it would be a really cool foil to Rose’s bankai that mimics elements. I think it would also make his more unique since he has such a cool concept with the ogre/tengu motif. I also thought of Ogerpon from pokemon who can change his type based on the masks he wears (not important just kind of what jump started the idea)

My Idea for Loves Bankai is that he is Clad in Red Samurai Armour with Helmet included and a Tengu mask the Shikai is engulfed in flames that can be fired or manipulated at will and all attacks are amplified in addition the armour has Wings that can launch fire balls that have a similar effect to the Shikai move we see in addition the Bankai amplifies all of Loves physical attributes Speed Strength etc
I kinda had a good bankai idea for love I thought it’d be cool if his bankai was somewhat similar to kyorakus in the sense it takes inspiration from a children’s game. Love and his opponent or opponents are taken to a pocket dimension that’s devoid of the real other realms and there it’s like the floor is lava basically it’s a space similar to Tousens bankai but inside it’s a Rocky Mountain lava terrain however this bankai gives love a significant edge because he can move or walk thru or on the lava and all fire related attacks are nullified against him and everytime an enemy touches the lava or get hit by loves club they lose all ability/movement in that part of their body and a chain covered in purple fire wraps around the area I always kinda liked the idea of love inflicting some kind of ailment and it being losing the ability to use something was cool to me anyways that’s it

Each fire type power being different is actually a result of most of them not being fire powers. Hinamori's tobiume doesn't shoot fireballs but explosion balls. And bazz b's the heat is literally that, heat. He makes fire by heating stuff but his power is create heat blasts and lasers. He melted the buildings to make lava.
isshin and love are the two who use fire other than yamamoto. Love's at least changes the shape of his zanpakuto so he has a big metal club to bludgeon people with which is something ryujin jakka can't do even if its fire capabilities are simply a poor version of yama's but isshin's engetsu seems to be an all round inferior version of ryujin jakka which is lame. Only thing that can save it is his bankai being revealed and it being something way different from ryujin jakka and zanka no tachi.
Love's bankai likewise should not be mainly fire focused but should be able to do something else the same way zanka no tachi can just randomly summon skeletons out of nowhere. Leaning into the tengu motif is good.
One idea i can imagine is that he summons a fire golem or maybe the zanpakuto spirit which before his hollowfying fate he could control or they were somewhat a good union, showing amazing combat skills togheter but maybe he has never summoned it after hollowfying, not knowing or maybe he does know, it is not the same as before. With a will of its own and fused with hollow reiatsu it has corrrupted and is almost unstoppable. Or something like that.
Please do Mashiro Kuna, I’d love to see you come up with her shikai and bankai, please give them a tokusatsu inspiration❤

I still consider it an unfortunate missed opportunity to reveal Love and Rose's Bankai during their battle with Starrk. It would have made them more impactful as well as upping Starrk's overall power if he still managed to beat them unscathed.
Yeah, FKT was disappointing in many ways and lack of new bankai reveals was definitely a let down. Iirc only Soi Fon and Kensei showed their unknown bankai and Kensei fight was completely off-screen

I would like to see Bankai ideas for Momo and Isane
My idea for Momo is that if you look at Tobiume though out the series, she seems to grow more prongs, I think that the moment she gets 10 prongs Bankai will be unlocked, I see her Bankai as summoning a giant Plume tree, which bares fruit, this fruit has different effects depending on the consumers personality, If you are kind like Momo it will fully heal the consumer, if you are like Ichigo it will give you a power boost, however only Momo can pluck the fruit, if anyone else tries to pluck the fruit then they will explode like he main Shikai attack, Also Momo is linked to the tree so she will continue to heal. I don't have a name for this Bankai. As for if the consumer has a wicked heart the Fruit will poison them and drain their reiatsu

I have always felt that Bankai we haven't seen are due to it either being dangerous to allies or dangerous to the wielder in some way. That is why the user is hesitant to use it.
The last bankai would also let us see a darker, more ferocious and frankly Hollow side of Starrk that we never got to see. It would be interesting to see Love's bankai completely backfire as a more aggressive, blood thristy Starrk would overwhelm him.
cool theory but we need thinking that his zanpakutou maybe is not a fire tipe but maybe is a "heating" tipe because his apolige to her when he uses this technique... so is like rukia and hitsugaya one can use the watter around to create ice and other take a temperature down causes a frozen ability

Love’s bankai ideas are hard because he’s associated with many different things
He’s a brutish fighter who has a strong association with onis and while the name of his sword is associated with Tengu which is a different yokai.

i thought love's shikai and his ability to wield it so easily as well as his mask looking like an Oni was a foreshadowing of his Bankai being a transformation of his body to fit the size of his shikai. i think it would be cool if his Bankai made him transform into an Oni that could breathe fire and wield his club with one hand.
I wonder if Expansion and Heat together would be an interesting route to go, as we see the shikai increase in size often

Love has a bankai. we know this. Love never uses his bankai though and in such cases i think it is important to ask why?
this is why i firmly believe that love has a soi-fon type of thing going on, only flipped upside don, where loves shikai is huge and bombastic, whereas his bankai is perhaps a bit more subtle, but powerful nonetheless.
