I made steak and sauté mushrooms with bearded butchers original blend and butter. Turned out perfect. Thank you for all the cooking ideas. I love watching your channel.
I recently started eating my deer heart and it's amazing how much prep plays a part in how it taste. If you would've cleaned it, cut all of the ventricles out and removed all of the fat, you would've enjoyed it a lot more. I also learned tenderizing and marinading it makes a pretty big difference with the texture and chewiness of it.
Here in England we used to get Beef Heart as a school dinner dish about once every 10 days. This would be back in the late 60's and early 70's. It came braised and with mashed potatoes, cabbage and gravy. Mashed potatoes and cabbage with everything else too to be honest, lol.

First time I had heart it was elk. A back country ranger in Colorado had a couple sandwiches of elk heart and he gave me one. 34 years later I crave a heart sandwich. ❤️

I usually cut a heart into sticks one or two fingers thick, sear them a bit, add onions, seasoning, sour cream and a bit of water and let it simmer for about 2-3 hours. Much better than grilling it. Ribeye heart - thanks for the idea, ordered two from my butcher )

Heart from any animal (fish, fowl, venison,) sliced a lot thinner seasoned with salt and pepper can be amazing. Keep experimenting and figure out the extinguish system for indoor charcoal.

Our favorite meal to have for many of those 15 is lasagna, however, this year we're making chicken fried chicken with some usual sides, i.e. mashed potatos and a veg.
