HI PEOPLE. I HAVE THESE TWO SPEAKERS TOO BUT MY ORIGINAL AMPLIFIER DIED :( . QUESTION:HOW TO CONNECT THE SURROUND SPEAKERS TO THE OTHER AMPLIFIER WITHOUT THE TWEETERS AND MIDDLE FREQUENCY SPEAKERS BLOW UP??? WHEN I CONNECT IT TOGETHER TO THE ONE CHANNEL IT MAKES A SHITTY QUALITY IN THE SURROUND SPEAKERS IN BASS MUSIC. PLEASE HELP.
I have the similar aiwa speakers can anyone help me I want to use it but my player is dead so what is the best player I can use to get maximum performance and can use Bluetooth if possible it will be big help to me & appreciated
Cheap surround sound speakers, incapable of reproducing any "bass". Enclosed in 9 millimetre chipboard with bell wire for cable. I have a set in front of me... yuck.
Well, if I have said anything inaccurate then please tell us all which part is wrong. The cabinet's are junk, the driver's are junk and the cable that comes supplied with them you can snap with your hand. It's a pity that I smashed mine to pieces because they were visibly better condition than yours and you could have had them for nothing. But then I suppose you live in the outback somewhere and postage would have cost a hundred times what the speakers were worth. Enjoy your boomy sub-jammo quality transducers.
+Storm Warrior You claim everything to be junk without proving any sort of evidence to support your statement. Why is it junk? What about the drivers make it junk? These are under-hung full range woofers that haven't even worn out after decades (unlike other expensive manufacturer's transducers). These were (usually) made in Japan, by a company that was profitable and paying dividends until their downfall. These speakers were made when they were immensely profitable. And for your information, they aren't 'surround sound speakers', they're ported transducers capable of producing sound across the entire frequency spectrum, unlike surround sound speakers, which are designed to produce sound across a narrow frequency range. So, my comment. Special kind of..
Well, you must be a "Special kind of" blind person as well as deaf, because the very first frames of the video show the rear panel of the speakers and clearly state: MODEL NO. SX-FNS905 SURROUND SPEAKER 20W 16 OHMS MADE IN CHINA They also have "FRONT SURROUND" printed on the plastic casing on the front of each cabinet. I realize that they have "full range" capabilities at a pinch, but these were originally sold with budget music systems, some of which had a pseudo "surround" chip in the amp. And that 70W 'main' speaker rating is unlikely to be "RMS". Aiwa certainly were a good company at one time in the mid 80s & early 90s, (I still own a ADF770) but these speakers don't hold that status - they were made in China.
+Storm Warrior Ok, I apologize, I meant to say usually made in Japan (edited my comment), because I have two similar ones (both different from yours and each other) made in Japan and I think they were very well made. The reason why I became aggressive is because you called these trash. Usually vintage speakers usually don't last long because the surround usually wears off. These speakers are still functional and faithfully reproduce the spectrum they were designed to, even after 20-25 years. I think that's amazing quality. I have a Pioneer, a JBL and a Kenwood all of which have worn out surrounds. Honestly, you shouldn't care about the RMS. Yeah, it maybe bullshit, but the founder of Bose corporation published a paper saying that the best measure of a loudspeaker is human listening experience[1] (Which is why Bose doesn't publish nor compete on technical specs). Forget the RMS ratings and just try to enjoy to the music and I hope you'd be able to realize that these speakers can match even the most high tech speakers produced today. Sorry for my previous aggressive stance. [1]www.aes.org/e-lib/browse.cfm?elib=1390
