Just gotta love those Arrows 50s whooshing along on 4s, my Bae Hawk pretty much flies the same way, so far my stock esc has been holding out just making sure not use 100% throttle for more than 5 seconds.
Hi Rodin! These 50mm EDFs should have been setup for 4S to begin with as that's where they really perform well. My Stock ESC did hold up for a while but I think it just got too hot and shutdown. It has some battle scars now but still flies awesome ;-) I'm going to be replacing the Stock ESC in the Eachine F16 as well. See you in the Air!
Hi Dale! Yes, all of my 3S EDFs that I've setup for 4S have been easier to launch even though they're a bit heavier. I launch the Viper at 85%-90% Throttle on 4S and I was having to launch at 100% throttle on 3S. I'm also at high altitude (5700' Above Sea Level), so at a much lower altitude it should perform even better. See you in the Air!

Hello ground control someone who really enjoys your channel have a question?🤔 If you have a six channel airplane and you only have a six channel transmitter can you hook two things to one channel like landing gear and stabilizing, you know like gear down fully stabilized gear up stability mode? 🤨🤔
Hi Luther and thank you! I suppose that would certainly be possible. Since I've mixed in Flaps with the Elevator Channel, Flaps with Ailerons, and Full Span Ailerons using the Flaps when Flaps are not deployed. You should be able to initiate other functions with the same switch you use for Gyro Modes or anything else. I've never tried that before with Gyro Modes but I don't see why you couldn't do that as long as it doesn't interfere with the Gyro correcting the Control Surfaces.
Hi Aarrons! The largest LIPO I've flown with so far is my 4S 1800mah 70C LIPO that weighs 194g. I have it pushed all the way back to get a neutral balance on the CG. I do have my 50A ESC as far forward as I could get it so if you have the ESC much further back than I have mine you may be able to get the CG with a lighter 4S 2200mah. See you in the Air!
I’ve been flying mine with a 4s 2200 and the stock esc. Never had an issue. I’ve been at full throttle for over two minutes at a time and never had an issue. Keep in mind though, I’m not in a hot climate at all which I suppose could make a difference.
Not easy but not too hard. I had to carve out a lot of foam so the ESC would install flush with the foam and not hinder airflow. Then secure it place with some carbon rod. It sure made a difference and provides not only more power but better flight time. A Win, Win ;-) See you in the Air!

Hi Ground Control, nice 4S evaluation. I also have the Arrows Viper... Great flyer but a little slow on 3S. I heard you say you have your high throttle stopped down to 77%, do you recall what the watt power was at 77%? I have been thinking of doing the same mod to my Viper. I already added a rudder which give me greater yaw control. I also plan to add an afterburner light to the EDF. Thanks
Thanks John! It's nice on 4S ;-) When I had the Stock ESC in it I clipped the Throttle at 77%. Max Amps doing that was 31.5A. So at 77% Throttle Watts would be 16.8V x 31.5A = 529.2W I replaced the Stock ESC with a HobbyWing Skywalker 50A ESC for Full Throttle!
