One day, a lazy and evil predator came by and stole her cubs so that he could use them to hunt for him. The cheetah mother cried one night and one day. A villager noticed that she was sad and told the village chieftain. The chieftain decided to ban the evil predator from his village and gave the cubs back to their mother. The mother was happy again but she had cried so much that the tears drew markings onto her face which would stay for the rest of her life and for all the coming generations... It is not exactly how it was written but I think everyone understands the concept.
