The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!

Diagnose it... What's wrong with Playoff Harden?
The fact that he sucks
regular season Harden, playoff Soften
2018 he gets a pass because cp3 got hurt,if cp3 stays healthy they go to the finals.
Everything
@@jeffreymadden2745 no excuses for Harden or CP-5
Harden’s style is fundamentally unsuited for the playoffs. He’s not “choking”. This is what foul baiting, ball dominate, non defenders who are in questionable physical condition get against better teams in the playoffs.
I mean you'd think he'd be like 80% of current luka at least if he can shape up. No reason for him to so notably wilt every post season in basically every dimension.
Well said
The thing that annoys me the most about harden is that he tries to draw fouls without trying to make the shot. Guys like embiid and butler draw a lot of fouls, but they’re always trying to make the shot so that even if the foul isn’t called, they still score. Harden just does jerky things with his body to draw fouls and doesn’t even try to make shots sometimes
@@Isaiah_McIntosh His conditioning might be why he’s aging poorly. That lack of work doesn’t look good in your 30s.
@@lik7953 I’m glad the league cleaned up those kinds of non basketball foul baiting things.
Never in million years would I even think of comparing Harden to Jordan or Wilt.
Wilt has shrunk many times in the playoffs that even his teammates called him out for it. the thing that helps Wilt is two titles where he changed to be more of team player.
What if you were ask to compare them to their skin color ..... All 3 black
The only thing I would compare Harden with those guys for is scoring volume in the regular season. After that no comparison
i can
You're basically repeating shite you've heard from Jordan gobblers to elevate Jordan. Wilt never "shrank" in the playoffs. 31.1/25.7 is a better stat line than any other player in history in elimination games.
His legacy is set and it isn't changing. He'd have to win a title to alter it and that's not happening, because he never wanted to win titles. He wanted to score a bunch of points, win MVPs, make as much money as possible, and be the VIP at the strip club. His passion isn't winning, it's living large. And good for him, I'm sure it's a fine life. But that's not a mindset that wins titles.
Unlike you, I'll embrace the label of "hater" and I'm glad he hasn't been to the Finals. I despised watching his style of play from the beginning, and from where I sit a guy like Harden being a Finals MVP and spawning legions of imitators is just about the worst thing that could possibly happen to the game.
👏👏👏
Tell him that personally though.
@@jacoblastimosa6347 Shit I would gladly if ya gave me a chance to and I think this guy would too 💀
He already has imitators and has been to the finals.
@@benjaminan1183 Not as a starter. Coming off the bench. And if he ever makes a Finals again it'll be coming off the bench again.
Harden is weak minded. All those analysts who said he was a better player than Kobe didn’t take the Mamba mentality into consideration.
Or they just were on crack.
💯
James Harden is always choking in the playoffs though thats what he does and it is October 2022 now Kevin durant is still staying on the nets why would he want to stay on the nets though doesn't he want to win a another championship and he should of went to a different team James harden is a choke due stright up
I hope nobody ever ever compares this guy to Kobe again. It's disgusting.
Yeah man him and Kobe didn't play any similarities at all
Man doesn’t even deserve to be compared to D Wade.
@@daniellien6704 not even Iverson
Not really, if you were to swap their circumstances they'd more than likely be viewed similarly. He's a generational player.
@@robloxstephencurry2148 and garnett too
You nailed it. He's predictable, he leans on the ref's whistle to get his points, and he lacks conditioning. As for how he can redeem his legacy? It's not going to happen. He'll be 33 years old next year, and if eight seasons at the Rockets trying to prop him up didn't show him of the importance of playing real defense and not being a statue off-ball, then one more season tramping around the league won't either. If that take makes me a hater, so be it, but it doesn't make me *wrong*. Harden needs to play the whole game, not just some regular-season iso-specialist.
Harden is a basketball DH. xD
anyone using the hater argument is braindead
@@samuelperezgarcia Nice. Maybe he should try to get a traded to an NL club.
@@AaronMichaelLong sorry to break it to you, but the NL has the DH now too. 😅
He’s 33 this year not next year
Never forget when Harden was benched in the 4th quarter of an elimination game down 17 points, only for his team to go on a 47-18 run without him. There have been some all time playoff stinkers for NBA superstars, but in my opinion that one is the most embarrassing and legacy tarnishing as any of them
was that the one where josh smith became steph 2.0? also remember how he asked to go back in the game as his teammates were all cooking so that he could be part of it.
since i already kinda mentioned him, highly doubt a guy like steph wouldve asked to get back in the game so that he could bask in the glory. he would just happily cheer them on and be happy for the guys cuz they r having this amazing moment.
Never forget what he did in that game 7 or the game 5 prior

@@diablejambe3460 yea it was the Clippers Game 6 2016 Playoffs I was there 😭😭 Dwight Howard also had a 20-20 game to top it off
He's one of the greatest playoff losers of all time like Chris Paul.
He hasn't never choked a lead away and has won a lot of playoff games. Chris Paul is clearly a bigger playoff loser. McGrady or Carmelo Anthony are also far above them

Harden has never been a starter on a Finals team, and he never will either.
Patrick Ewing and James Harden can’t even compare when it comes to playoff troubles. Allen Houston and Mark Jackson are the best players Ewing ever played with. Harden’s played with 5 hall of famers.
Yes and ewing made the finals as the leader on his team. Harden was the 3rd option in 2012
Crazy to see how him and Russ are aging badly. It's worst than Carmelo because at lease melo is coming off the bench now.

I've always wondered why Harden performed so badly in the post-season. This video helps explain it in an unbiased way, thanks Jonny
well he doesn't perform badly lmao
His Career is filled with Hollow & Shallow Stats.
A Product of NBA rules and Referees.
200 Million, why should he even care
He could just get fat and go hang out with Rappers.
Harden is the Goat for Fantasy and Video Game players.. That's enough to get you millions.
Except it is biased. He doesn't show Ewing's stats. Go look at them, they look worse than Harden
Pat at least made a Finals though. And he had less help than Harden has had in his career.
it's mental. he doesn't become more focused in the playoffs (like other teams and teammates) and continues to play the same relaxed manner, even though the pressure goes up, and doesn't make adjustments to his game
Nah he’s mentally weak in pressured situations
He said he doesn’t get nervous before games. That’s a problem.
It's simple. He's just extremely overrated. He's just a high volume scorer that gets most of his points by flopping and getting to the line. Then in the playoffs where you don't get as many calls, he "surprisingly" can't score.
Bingo
Harden averaged 28 points with Houston. Harden haters are not only pathetic but kinda stupid.
Yup.
This is accurate 🤣
What I also would add is his lack of defense. Every person who has play organize basketball, or any sport, would know that it could be not your night, but you can make a great impact in the defensive end. I feel Harden has been exacly the same player for too many years, without improving his weaknesess.
That's why I'll take guys like Wade and Drexler over him
He has gotten drastically better at defending. Just look at 2015 Harden for instance.
@@eeeee4686 that’s a stretch
Harden is a slightly below average- average defender
@@eeeee4686 true
James Harden has to be one of the worst playoff performers in NBA history when it comes to someone of his caliber. It's insane how many times he doesn't show up for his team in the playoffs when they need it the most. I don't think he has that killer instinct.
Even crazier every year people think he's gonna change it up and turn things around
I still dont understand why most people think westbrook is worse in the playoffs than harden.
In the 75 list. Is this correct?
@@rafaelchang6570 you got a problem with that?
Hes always been like that since the 2012 finals
I blame Harden and the NBA for his short comings in the play-offs. Nba rules allowed him to become dominant. The contact he could create and get rewarded for it made him impossible to guard. NBA changed the way Refs "reward" the offensive player for creating contact has hurt his game. Harden hasn't adjusted well to these changes. Come play-off time we all know the game is allowed to be more physical you can actually guard Harden now without worrying about ticky tac calls. Great players make adjustments when faced with adversity. Greatness comes in June and not January. Harden is Mr. January.
When the chips are down the greats are supposed to step up, Harden has done nothing but step down every single time
and they said this man was better than D-Wade 😂
Those comparisons were disrespectful asf, Wade was a clutch superstar and a winner, Harden is one of the greatest chokers ever
Wade played with passion and intensity. Harden plays like he just wants to be done with it and go home.
Harden is a career playoff MVP. As in Most Volatile Player.

Go look at Ewing or Karl Malone or David Robinson stats in the playoffs. They have worse declines in the playoffs
I’m a Rockets fan in Houston, and no serious person over the age of 16 compares Harden to Jordan. Most people I know in Houston are happy the bum is gone, but we are appreciative he kept us relevant for some years there.
@@John-ct9zs believe it or not before game 6 I had several people tell me his prime is nearly as good as Jordan’s smh🤣
offensively maybe but not defensively
@@foalengtoussaintfoaleng7291 David Robinson's decline in the playoffs is comparable to Harden, but Ewing and Malone aren't unless you're cherry picking individual stats.
There's also context. All three of those guys carried their team to the Finals at least once, and came up big in do or die games that helped their team get there. Harden hasn't. Harden has played in 18 Game 6/7s and not only does he have by far the worst win/loss record in those games, but he's also played the worst. In only two of those 18 games has he shot 50% and his team won, and one of those was while he was still coming off the bench in OKC. All the other guys have at least three such games, in fewer opportunities.

* 20% 3PA percentage (1-5)
* 7 assists

To compare even peak Harden to Kobe or Jordan is beyond absurd, and those analysts should be ashamed of themselves. The intensity of defense during Jordan and Kobe's time was on a whole other level than when Harden dominated. He would have never been close to averaging 36 a game during the 90s or 00s.
I think a good video to do next is assessing Giannis' place amongst the all time greats. For my money, he's vastly approaching Top 15-12 territory. And in that note, he's already the 2nd greatest PF ever IMO. Just an idea
I have Giannis as the 2nd greatest PF as well behind Duncan. If he wins a 2nd ring I will give him serious consideration for the top 15.
@@elijah_coursey_84 even without a second ring, he still is in the same conversation as those all time greats. If he sustains this for a few more years, then he's the second best PF imo, but it would still be debatable. If he wins a second ring and FMVP, then yea he's solidified as the 2nd best behind Duncan
I’d say he’s behind Tim, Garnett, and maybe Barkley, but he got a legit shot to be the best power forward of all time and easily a top ten player ever
Damn wtf Dirk and Garnnet get no love
@@jamalwalker id pick Greek freak over dirk
He would have to have a playoff run like Dirk in 2011
A lot of people forget we talked about Dirk this way up until he beat the big 3 Miami Heat, given that he had choked against underdog teams several times
The thing is, there is like a 0.0001% chance of Harden pulling off something like that
That was unfair to say about Dirk because he already led his team to the finals and lost to another all timer well actually a couple all timers 😂
To be fair, Dirk never had the amount of help Harden had. He was carrying those Mavs teams in the late 00s. Harden has been playing with lots of all stars during his time, even when he was dominating in Houston. Dirk always had these weird off games in the playoffs, but overall he was a pretty clutch player. I still don't understand what he did in 2011. He ascended to god level in that year's playoffs.

Stay Strong 💪 Though.
james harden is good but refs in play offs arnt so whistle happy and he crumbles, he doesnt move of ball and does not defend at all and barley can sustain 35 min on the court, its his work ethic
I'm 100% with johnny arnett on this one. Been saying this for years, Harden overrated and does not perform in the playoffs. Fans always follw the media hype, can't get over his season stat padding claiming Harden to be an all-time great superstar. People are blinded by what he does during the season. He never had the heart to carry a team as a franchise star.
I feel like his arrogance also comes into play because his belief that he's "one of the best" really got into his head where it probably lead him to believe there's nothing else he needs to add or improve on in his game.
He's essentially the exact same player back then when he was in Houston but what's worse now is he's older, out of shape and with the exact same game style making him extremely predictable thus allowing teams to easily break him apart. This literally taking candy from a baby but rather a baby it's an old blind man 🤷♂️
He is too ISO depandant, which is the same reason why the Nets failed
the Nets play with simply KD or Kyrie taking turns on scoring.
meanwhile all the other NBA teams in the playoffs this season and in the post season in general tend to move the ball around alot
Do Chris Paul next. He is an embarrassment in the playoffs. The Suns had absolutely no right to lose to the Mavs. The only time he ever made the finals was when he faced 3 straight crippled opponents.
With CP3 is a different case, because his teams lose because of him being out (houston and clippers) or the other teams having better players. Except for this time.
@@freesgen there been countless series where he played horrible in.
@@tj5180 That’s a straight up lie, he’s been good or great in almost every single series he’s ever been in, his problem is bad luck and injuries
CP3 is not even close to Harden in terms of choking, CP3 has the worst luck ever with injuries and teammates performance, and he rarely ever drops off from the regular season come playoff time, in fact he usually gets better
Chris Paul's numbers are relatively the same as his regular season stats and has had some clutch moments in the playoffs. He has had some individual failures for sure, but just as many bad luck with injuries. Also, it's ridiculous to have such high expectations for a 37 year old. They had no business getting smoked like that on their own floor but to heavily rely on a 35+ yr old guard to be your best or 2nd best player is nuts. It's time for Ayton to take that next step as a 20 & 10 guy all year round.

I've commented in about 20 video's that Harden is worthless. Nobody seems to agree. Thank you for the proof.
James Harden was my favorite player as a 6 man on the Thunder and has dropped lower to the point of dislike as time has gone on.
I watched the 2022 All-StarDraft and James Harden was reluctantly picked last. It says a lot when no one wants you on their team. I can't believe James Harden and Russell Westbrook made it on the NBA 75 list. Do they ever revise the list?
I remember when I saw James Harden getting drafted and thought he'd be a great player one day. When he was coming off the bench for OKC, I thought he just needed more playing time and people will see how great he is. I don't think very highly of him anymore.
Recency biased at its best. You probably started watching this year. Casual
I not much of a Harden fan but Lebron picked him last knowing that KD will not pick him
Wll time westbrook and harden deserve top 75
Thank you Jonny for the video and wishing my niece’s birthday yesterday!
The issue is the rule change they made a year or two ago. Where they stopped calling those flopping type foul calls while trying to shoot. That's been 80% of his game. He has no bs way to get to the free throw line
See 👀 this is why I enjoy your videos 📹 Johnny u always go into details just like me
Revisiting this video after the Sixers series loss to the Celtics. Might have to add that to the James Harden video although it was not completely on him. Embiid was not good games 6 and 7 as well.
Defenses aren’t gonna allow isolation play, heavily denying and pressuring the ball, constant physicality, with zones and doubles sprinkled in, it makes it hard for 1 guy to beat a good to great team, harden consistently kills bad to average teams like the 2017 thunder, 2018 jazz etc etc. mix defenses attacking him with constant dribbling and you’ll get progressively worse through outa series due to fatigue. He simply plays a ineffective and dumb style of play. He’s an all time great and with good coaching would be a phenomenal #2 for embiid. Very excited to see his bounce back next season IF he wants to. Hes gotta get back into shape and mind of winning.
Working for luka......
@@Isaiah_McIntosh Luka is simply different!!! Future mt Rushmore if he keeps this up
@@Isaiah_McIntosh is it? Last time
I checked both games for luka in the start of each series resulted in high scoring with an L. Lukas ability to let Brunson, smith, dinwiddy and others create there own shot while still being able to feed them and create his own is what’s winning the mavs games, along with Jason kidds elite defensive mind. Again I said you can beat average teams with that style but you simply can’t beat great teams like that. Look at jordan 86, lebron 07 finals, kobe 06 and many more. Isolation kick out ball will never beat great teams. Great teams beat Great teams not a individual greatness
@@gunny-lneck4352 When you actually look at shot attempts, and usage rate in those wins vs losses they are pretty much the same. There's a slight transfer in time of possession from Luka to Brunson but it's really not as significant as the eye test conclusion might be. Stat for Stat its also very similar to harden throughout his career. However there's differences in Lukas shot selection, more midrange and post ups allowing for offensive versatility that's really the big difference individually on the offensive end despite both being isolation players. Even if the offense is five out let luka work otherwise pick and roll, (Dantoni ball) that means a couple different potential looks with rather than just a hard drive to the basket or 3 pointer like it did for James in Houston after a while. Apart from that luka improves in every statistical aspect except assists in the post season unlike harden who becomes worse in every way while becoming much worse in game 7s, again the reverse for luka.
The team compositions are important but this really good defense around a single star is the norm among those ball dominant teams. So while I agree that stylistically this heliocentric drive and kick isn't optimal championship basketball, it's not the cause for hardens post season struggles. There are problems more specific to his game and mentality that caused issues with a lack of offensive versatility within his version of heliocentric offense.

He can repair, but not fix his playoff image. He will always be the guy who failed when it matters most, but if he can make that major run, he can be looked at more favorably. He needs to change how he plays to make that happen though. He isn't that guy anymore. He needs to be able to rely on his teammates and I don't think he has the ability to do that.
He would have to be the best player on a title winning team to alter his image and that ain't happening anymore. Dude is getting old and doesn't have the discipline.
I took a deep hit from the bong and stopped paying attention halfway through the video to contemplate a future where harden, kd and russ join up again in Sacramento and win. Ima make it happen in 2k
to be fair in that 3 year stretch between 2018-2020 he was in a whole nother galaxy compared to other scorers
Bro I don't even think Harden knows what's going on in his own head at this point after yet another disaster end to a series. A shame cause he balled out the first few games as usual. I've always been hard on Harden since 2014 but I honestly thought this was the playoff run where he would finally do a little something. I even picked Philly to win against Boston after he hit that game winner. I was like oh shit maybe this is what he he needed to get some confidence going forward. lol but ofcourse playoff Harden striked again with his famous vanishing act.
Great video! Does anyone know the name of the background music (not the intro) thanks :)
At this point, Harden needs to have a 2011 Dirk Nowitzki -type of run to salvage his legacy. Dirk was viewed similarly to Harden in that he was a talented scorer who didn’t have what it took to win a championship. 2011 changed all of that. Harden not only needs to win the championship, but he needs to be the main reason why they do.
Ignoring 2018 where it took an extreme cap spike, an untimely injury to his #2, slanted officiating in Game 7, and 27 straight missed 3s to keep him away from a ring.
From the finals, not a ring. He would still have a series to win after that, which isn't close to being guaranteed
Damn man. Who in the right mind would say that Harden is a better scorer than Kobe?? Do not disrespect Kobe's name like that.
James may be “uNgUaRdAbLe” and a better shot creator objectively, but Kobe is a way better scorer and player when it matters.
I've been saying it for years. Finally, some are opening their eyes.
The Bizarro Jimmy Butler. I'll take the guy who gets stronger when the games are do or die over the guy who has a great regular season and crumbles in clutch time.

He just can't handle the pressure of big games. He'll have some nice games in the playoffs, but when the pressure is high, and the defense is tighter, and they're not calling little bullshit calls, he just can't get it done. The worst playoff performer I've seen from such a high end player- since barry bonds. Bonds had that one good playoff year, in particular, the world series to save his playoff reputation from sheer disaster. It'll take a similar effort from harden to at least quell some of the criticism. And I don't think it'll happen. AND I also agree about his game, he just doesn't do enough, fast enough, to keep scoring on teams in the playoffs. Someone like Kobe, Mcgrady or Jordan had it all, he only has a few moves, and all of them are slow, and require good distance, and soft defense to work, and even in this soft era, the playoffs do get called looser, and he just can't get it done in those circumstances.
Harden is the reason why the Nets traded a lot of the core assets of our team just to be a double agent for the 76ers all along. I use to be a James Harden fan from 2012-2016 but after his foul baiting tactics, being way too ball dominate, constantly complaining and pouting to refs, no heart and effort on defense, and most importantly underperforming in the playoffs. He sabotaged the Nets in the very beginning of the season forcing KD to do a massive carry job while he'd let teams like OKC, Rockets, Kings, etc. win games. Then that all led to KAI and KD getting all of the criticism when James Harden deliberately lost games, got fat and pouted two back to back teams in back to back years. Top 75 my ass
It was a big mistake for Brooklyn trading Allen, levert also their core assets for harden.
1:53 all of the different ways he does it 🤣
Jesus I was always so furious with these "experts"... Harden always had 3-4 moves... step back, hard drive with a layup, lob to Capela, or a floater
What about Westbrook? He shoots worse in the playoffs and gets just as many turnovers. Since 2017 he's had a hard time passing the first round
James Harden has done everything he can to get to the strip club as soon as possible.
Great video
New subscriber here. I really enjoy your content, keep it up!
Thanks Herb! Glad to have you on board
Hardens regular season career average: 24.9pts 6.8ast 5.6reb on 44.2% from the field.
Hardens playoff career average: 22.9pts 6.2ast 5.5reb on 42.6% from the field.
It's not a big dip. But every other star has at least remained as good in the playoffs, either nearly all of them elevating parts of their game significantly. Harden gets worse in every category.
The averages make it look better than it is honestly. He notably falls off in game 7s and in the clutch specifically in playoffs. It's such an awful phenomenon that he progressively gets worse as things matter more.
@@Isaiah_McIntosh just tell us that you dont watch harden's games
I've argued that he's never been the player people thought he was. His usage rate, and empty regular season stats obscure that he's never really been engaged as a player, especially on defense. When the games become serious, teams will key on important players, and try to exploit their weaknesses. Harden has never bothered to diversify his game, so he's easy to predict, and key on, and yes, he gets picked on because of his atrocious defense. Harden would have to have a magical change of heart, and increase his work eithic. If that didn't happen within the first five years of his career, it frankly won't ever happen.
He has a similar problem to Westbrook, plenty of empty stats and not enough substance
He has underperformed at times but at the same time I'm not shocked that he hasn't won a title. I've just never viewed harden in the same category as LeBron, Steph, KD, or Kawhi, so when he loses to them it's not a surprise.
Same but I definitely thought he'd do more than he does.
Refusing to sprint is also a big factor
He hasn’t come close to winning a championship. It seems like he’s more interested in his image than he is in putting in 100% effort to win. He often looks lazy on the court. Wearing a thick beard like that also might have an impact on athletic performance.
He dribbbles to much stalling offenses…he will never win that way. Yes defenses read him better in a series
as a Thunder fan for their whole existence i remember him blowing a wide open layup against the Heat in the finals and I knew he then he shrunk in big moments
I don’t think he can repair his legacy
It’s the mentality and mental toughness that make the difference, that’s why guys like Giannis and Kawhi succeed and why guys like Harden and even AD slow down or fail. Harden is by far a more skilled offensive player than Giannis, but the reason why he always chokes in the playoffs is because he gives up once he sees that he can’t flop all over the court and get the same fouls he does in the regular season, and then he shuts down and either passes the ball away or takes terrible shots for no reason
Harden’s game is too predictable. He needs to either add a midrange shot to his game or run more plays off ball. He needs to start playing like his former teammates KD and Kyrie because they have a offensive bag and he doesn’t.
Everyone's game is predictable he just needs constant help he's never had a championship level team other than 2012 and 2018 where Chris Paul got injured
@@deonnelson9780 so last year wasn’t championship level help. He had KD and Kyrie on his team. All he had to do was contribute and he failed.
As a harden fan… Ima be honest, since 2015 ( since harden became a superstar) harden has only had 2 playoffs series where he choked and thats 2017 vs spurs and this year vs Miami. But for most of harden’s playoff career he just lost to BETTER TEAMS that were great defensively so once they key in on him there his teammates couldn’t get it done. I truly dont see how he’s a playoff choker
Two words: O-ver RAT-ed
Harden's always been a volume shooter, his career points & 3PTM totals depends loads of attempts, as his very pedrestrian 3PTM shooting of 36% reflects. That's not even in the top 250 players all time.
Rediculous as it is now, there was a time during his Houston years when he was actually being compared with Curry as a the best 3PT shooter 😂 But the reason he was, was because he was attempting so many more than Steph & everyone else. Including games when he'd put up crazy numbers like 30 plus 3PTA (attempts) by himself.
For comparison, Curry's career 3PTM completion rate is a robust 43%, 11th best all time.
Legacies can always be turned around, everyone remember when Dirk was consider a choker?
It would only take one Championship run, maybe with one or two signature big-game moments, for most people to forget about his current rep
However, I'm with Jonny, I have absolutely zero faith this will happen
Good point! I do remember that, and I try to remind people of it quite often… BUT Dirk did not have NEARLY the underperforming resume that Harden does. Harden has a lot more to undo. I think he can make us forget some of it, but idk about all of it.
Has long has Harden been in the league?? I doubt he’ll turn it around at this point.
@@potentially__9445
13 years.
@@jonnyarnett that's fair. And I also think that Dirk was never showing the potential (or getting the ridiculous praise in the clips included in this video) of Harden. So Harden has a lot more to prove . . . and definitely hasn't lived up to it
But I do think NBA fans can be fickle, and narratives can change on a dime
Chris Paul. When he's needed most, he doesn't show up, whether physically or otherwise
And the tradition continues...
FINALLY an unbiased video talking about tubby
His not a alpha.
He is a playoff choker, but some of these takes you had were clear cut bias. I don’t blame 2018 2020 or 2021 if they either lost to the superior team and/or with a combination to injury to himself or his teammates. 2016 they were bad all year, so there was no expectations.
2014 (Fair criticism)
2015 (Fair criticism)
2017 (Fair criticism)
2019 (Fair criticism)
2022 ( Fair criticism)
He's trash. A fraud. Remove free throws and he averages around 15 points in his career
When you are used to getting foul calls and then you don't you get frustrated and frustrated people can't make shots, I've been on both sides of it many times and it is a heavy weight
I remember when I got into basketball and saw a vid from Jxmy about Harden, he became my favorite player. Now it's just hard to watch him play I feel that he thinks he can win by just talent and not put the work in. My favorite player now is Giannis, he actually cares
you're always a hater when you break down a players game smh.
It's so silly, lol.
I'll just leave a quote here that is relevant to this topic. "Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard." - Tim Notke
Its amazing how his conditioning comes into play when whistles stop coming.
Refs did him a disservice
It's funny for me how Luka and Harden have somewhat similar playing styles but they have so different outcomes when it comes to their performances in the playoffs
It’s the mindset. Luka is a dawg and wants to win
