Dear Amy, I thank you with all my heart for your tireless reporting on the wars and injustices worldwide. I realize there are only rare occasions to report on steps in the direction of a better and more inhabitable world. I just wonder whether it would be possible to give a short part of your reporting to the tiny "plants" worldwide which carry hopeful solutions, but need support and encouragement. To point out mistakes (at least with children) is so much less helpful than encouragement ! And in the question concerning war and peace we seem to have regressed to an unprecedented brutality.

The challenge is that the MAGA party would take about 30% of the electorate even if the former Republicans split and made a separate party.
Then, if the Democrats split, neither camp could muster more than 25%.
Could the former Republicans form a coalition with the corporate Dems and the Berniecrats?
Here's the problem: The wealthy donor class would see MAGA, Republican and corporate Dems as being friends, but they would see the Berniecrats as mortal enemies. They would back MAGA, or allow Republicans and corporate Dems to cooperate. But they would not allow cooperation with Berniecrats under any circumstances.
The best hope of progressives at this point, is to keep the Democrats afloat and hope for better times.

No significant changes will happen by your vote for either side of the uni-party, however, with the growing sentiments and frustrations from individuals and groups on both sides provides an opportunity to accelerate the awareness and growth of the Green Party. Well, I'm a Bangladeshi.Currently i living abroad.since at list 6 days I'm ( many people) not connecting with our family in back home,because still now 6 days not electricity ( maximum location)not mobile network, internet connection & WiFi in our country.the govt is still killing the innocent students and the ordinary people who are helping students.almost 400+ students were killed by Bangladesh government .Many students are under 18.They are schools & college students.The government is doing genocide now.we want the resignation of current prime minister Sheikh Hasan. In Bangladesh, the student protest did start off because of the quota issue but the movement has moved far beyond that now. Now they want Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to step down. The Government was planning to re-instate quota for freedom fighters. 30% of Government jobs were to go to Freedom fighters’ families. The fact is there is no authentic list of freedom fighters in Bangladesh and also if a freedom fighter had a child in 1971, that child would be over 50 years of age now. So, not sure who the Government had in mind when they came up with this policy. When the students raised this, prime minister Sheikh Hasina called them “Rajakar”, a very derogatory term used for people who were against the 1971 war in Bangladesh. To this the students started protesting when the government parties student branch, Bangladesh chhattro league, BCL, started attacking the students. BCL is well known for its violence. On top of that a protestor with arms raised in the air was shot dead at close range by police by rubber bullets. There was even more outrage from the protesters because of this and then government decided to get military on roads and call for curfew and closed down internet and other essential means of communication where students could upload pictures and videos of what was happening. Sheikh Hasina is now trying to blame this on opposition parties and planning to punish the protesters.
