I remember playing this game a long time ago, and only playing it on easy. I just remember it as the game with the spanking prompt which made me and my cousins laugh like idiots.
got pcsx2 and decided to play all of these classic titles and your videos have helped me enjoy this aspect of the game. the hidden moves, the fact you can crowd control and much more.
all I can say is that I love the game that much more

I can't stress how important this part is. All of these moves are great except (arguably) kicks but they *don't* belong in your square slots despite what a lot of other videos will tell you. Thanks for giving this game some much needed love
Although curious since he doesn't mention this but he does equipped it to the Square shown in the video triple sidekick and high snap kick are still good to put on though right since they are technically fast moves right?
And they don't actually have knock back to them they're more quick attacks correct ?
@@VileVeilt I think if we were to really dissect this then it would just be personal preference more than anything. If you ask me, punches are strictly going on my square and triangle is my kicks. I'm not like a super meta player when it comes to games (kind of takes the fun out it) but I couldn't imagine playing on the harder difficulties any other way.

I have no clue if you still play the game or even care lol, but I'm learning there's like a rythm. It's not so much he's reacting, just playing to that beat. Every enemy is like a different segment to a song, and they'll all do different things, but that song js still playing properly
This game is so deep, even after you finish the story mode you're still learning new technicians.
Man it's insane how good you are at this game, that footage was doing some crazy shit I never would have thought of.
I tend to neglect the non-square moves because it's easier but i'll try these out after watching this vid
Just bought the game and have only put an hour and a half in but even I can tell you're meant to keep enemies in front if you. Once you go to level 2, enemies outside of your field of vision start attacking you. The only natural solution is to keep everyone in sight and off your flanks.
I was looking for information about Joshiya Toshima's driving technique but this is good too...

Just beaten this game on normal 2 days ago, today I tried hard / die difficulty, man what a mess, I spent 2h to beat only the first level, guess i need more practice!

Another move that's broken, is the drunken fist, you can use it, up dodge, use it, up dodge, and almost everything in the game will get stunlocked to death, it's like the enemies aren't coded to start blocking when you use a drunken fist...
the only detail is that since its a move supposed to be used on square, it usually only hits one enemy.

had fun times with it and i had problems with the game but when i had fun i forget the other problems and now after completing it for the first time on normaal i want to get even better at god hand there wont be a hd port or sequel anytime soon there aren't enough people playing this game

Got most of the stuff about counter-hitting, what kind of dodge to use in a situation and basic crowd control down, but fuck me, I can't land a guard break to save my life.

I sucked this game but it all changes when i combine all of the ''drunken style'' technique on my combo buttons....you will be eventually very hard to get hit by enemys....its because mostly the drunken style evades upper attack and they do great damage too...

Dodging is the most basic move to be good in Godhand, just practice it by challenging Azel in the fighting ring since it's level DIE

Most insane moves are hand plant kick and drunken kick,agaist fast troops using drunken kick he cant even hit u once.

I play on hard, and just can't pinpoint a moment when enemy blocks, so i do two quick punches followed by GB move, hoping they will block.
But enemies seems to block whatever they like.
So, my question is - do enemies, common and bosses alike, have block patterns, or that is up to chance?

As for taunting, i thought maybe it sets enemies to do specific attacks more often.
Like, to ease hitting that counter, but punish player with damage if they miss.
And closing with my counter-fishing question.
It's all about well-timed first attack (like, when enemy just get to you), and finding gaps later (for example, "1,2,3,4, pause, 5" combo from first thugs and elites), isn't it? :|

You break guard of blocking enemy by hitting them with moves that have "Guard Breacker" modifier on.
As for how to notice when enemy is blocking... well you don't :D
All you can do there is preemptively throw in a GB move after few other attacks.
Or do a Juggle move instead, setting enemy for some stuff.
Mike/Moike/miek is using that option a lot :)

How to get all technique
On a fresh run, you need to buy them/ get them in chests. More will be available for purchase as you progress through the story.
On New Game Plus, they'll all be in the shop from the beginning.

i finally beat this game on norma after years, i never played it on normal because easy was fun enought, but boi normal mode was a lot better even tho i got cucked a shit ton of times (specially by Elvis in demon form) it was way better than easy mode, and i took a lot from this video, this game might not be a blockbuster (because people like handholding and shit) but it is far from being dead

all pattern are the same, just slower and not that aggressive like Die.
My combos: Break guard (Enemy is behind the wall), launch with High Side Kick (If can launching enemy) Then dodge, high side kick again then dodge again. (Only single dodge). Do it again repeatedly until you comfortable and faster! Do it again until your enemy's bar health is out.
