    Thank you Andrej! There's a lot of juice in this one!

    Thanks for this video, it's very timely as I put a space heater in each of my kids rooms. Since both rooms are on the same 15 amp circuit, I need them to alternate run times and not both run at the same time. I'll probably still need some automations to accomplish, and your video was very helpful. Only run between 8:05PM and 5:30AM, only run when the grid is up, only run when the other heater is not heating.

    I spent almost a week to create all these things from zero. Only if I knew you were to show that all.... ;-) Thanks.
    But I also added existing in every room temperature sensors, as these in TRV are totally useless ;)

      Don't worry - it's normal. Best thing is when I record video and next day they release new version that changes everything completely :)
      It's great that you can "replace" internal TRV sensors with data from external.

    Thanks for another great video. One thing to consider adding is a timer function using the new HA schedule feature.

      Awesome suggestion - had to completely remove scheduling due to video length, but that is great idea.

    Great video! I strongly suggest to add a schedule card (hacs scheduler component + hacs scheduler card), so that you can have a scheduler in the ui that everybody can switch on/off and set time periods and temperature directly in the ui without yaml modifications! Thank you for your video!!

    thank you so much for all your videos.. this one is very interesting.. Im digging into what could be the best OpenTherm relay to add into home assistant and work with TRV.
    I'd really appreciate your opinion about that... are you still keeping TADO? thanks!

    @BeardedTinker, thanks for all the nice video's! I like these a lot. I have a question, whould you know if you can use a ziggbee thermostat for an electric floor heating (only in bathroom). I'm not sure i'm currently using an old EasyHeat F19C thermostat.

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  Рік тому +1

      I would say yes, but it depends on what type of thermostat you get. I've seen 2 types - one for water floor heating, other one for electric. BUT I've never tested any of them, just seen them listed.

      @@BeardedTinker can you which ones you found?

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  Рік тому +1

      This is one of them. Just be careful when searching as there are 3 version - water heating, gas heating and electric floor heating.

    Hi. Not sure if you answered this in your up and coming video for TADO but is it possible to use Tado, and Home Kit for none Apple users in home assistant to keep it local ?

    I have a question. How can you connect a smart radiator valve to turn on the gas-heater?

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  2 роки тому +1

      This does add a bit of complexity. But you need relay or smart thermostat connected to the gas-heater. And than create a bit complex automation that would force it into heat whenever any other radiator needs heat. And stop heating if radiators go in idle state.
      I have something similar setup - smart thermostat switches relay if any room requires heat. And stops if it or rooms don't need more heating.

    Sonoff do relays with no neutral required that are powered without batteries.

    I have almost decided to go for geothermal heating with Valliant equipment (I have some booked visits from other installers/brands, but Valliant fits us best so far). Anyone out there having experience with tgermain's HA integration for the Multimatic (VRC700+ VRC9xx)?

    • @bennylloyd-willner9667
      @bennylloyd-willner9667 Рік тому

      I know it's cloud based, but since the heating solution will be remotely supervised by the installers anyway I don't mind, it's included in the insurance plan for the system.

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  Рік тому

      Can't leave this without reply, but unfortunately, I have zero experience with it. I have couple of friends that have this Multimatic from Vaillant, but non of them is running HA to test if and how it works. I did see the integration, but that's it. And as for the cloud, that's not the worse thing.
