That first goal is the best goal scored in history and you can’t change my mind.

A few years ago, I would've said that Ovechkin is the type of player that gets lazier and fatter as he aged, and that he was gonna have a sharp drop-off in production. His longevity and consistency are ones for the ages.

What a beast... Being a Canadian I'm not a fan of Russians lol but for real he's good
Edit: I'd say better than Crosby and I know that'll be controversial

I have been a HUGE Penguins fan since they drafted Jagr in 1990 (I tell people that, and right after they say that I like them because of Crosby HUH???).
Ovechkin is a extremely skilled player, I won't ever say he isn't.
I like the finesse, skilled players (Crosby, Kovalchuk, Hemsky etc.), and won't deny other guys that are skilled/talented. Won't ever say that this guy or that guy sucks because I don't like them, if they are extremely skilled/gifted/talented guy I will give them thier props.
However, with Ovechkin, I don't like him at all. And it's for a single reason and one reason only. Thier attitudes. Ovechkin changed the year they/he won the cup, but then he went back to being the same guy with the attitude he had beforehand.
      And that's why I don't like him.

@@gregpellegrin8713 well he did have skills. Yes, I did say that.
I guess the way I mean is not the run of the mill generic type guy that every team has tons of, or ones that play 3 minutes a night or 2 games a month.
To be on the top line, and get drafted higher up and things like you have to be skilled type player.
I don't mean the generational talents (Lemieux, Orr, McDavid and such), or the one offs (high pick that is just absolutely garbage-Daigle, Stefan, etc.).

All goals amazing, but “one foot goal” unbelievable.
