I just took my first injection this morning and I’m feeling so relieved the process has finally started! Sending thoughts and prayers to all the women struggling my with fertility. We got this ❤
I suffered miscarriage 6 weeks in my first IVF cycle... Doctor is suggesting me to go for donor because of my egg quality as I have adenomyosis, ovarian cyst but I don't want to gv up so easily...... praying for all the women who are going through the same phase
I am so sorry for your loss... I too have suffered a miscarriage when I got pregnant naturally at around 7 weeks. It's so devastating. I am sending you love and prayer for your success. Please let me know your progress❤
I have adenomyosis too but thanks God no cyst. I did FET on the 19th of this month and waiting for my bhcg test on the 31st. Praying and hoping for positive result with the grace from the above.
That's good. You sound like you've got yourself a good clinic! Thank you for sharing. I've heard of some clinics that take weeks for the meds to arrive!
Hellynn!! This is inspiring ❤️🔥❤️🔥🥰 actually very helpful too!!! I know light is waiting for you at the end of the tunnel. you totally got this! Big hug from alice 💜
Hello Hellyn! I’m also from the States and am doing IVF in Korea right now. I’m so happy that I found your vlog! Gives me a lot of insight. I felt very lonely through this process as it’s an emotional roller coaster, plus being a foreigner makes everything more uncomfortable but your insight gives me a lot of hope and feedback 😊 I’m 39 too! I wish you the best of luck!
Hi Hellyn! New subscriber here. I have the same condition, plus endometriosis and am the same age! Im in Norcal also. Wanted to ask you what your fertility doctor did about your lead follicle(s). Aside from increasing the dosage and dividing the dosage in the day and evening, did he prescribe you any estrogen pills to take a week before your period? My fertility doctor says it should help to hold back those dominant follicles while giving the smaller ones a chance to grow. I wondered if this was suggested to you and what your experimce might have been like. I'm soon to start cycle 2 of IVF and am doing back to back cycles like you did, except this time, I will try the estrogen pills if there is time before my period begins. I hope you respond 🙏 ❤
@@user-vg8ez9cu6u hi there! I’m so happy to meet a fellow Norcal resident😃 Thanks for watching my video and being part of my journey. Actually, I have tried priming with estrogen during my fourth cycle because I always had the problem of having one or two dominant follicles. Unfortunately, although I was able to get four decently similar sized eggs that round, none of them developed into embryos and the estrogen in combination with my stimulation meds made me sick. We came to the conclusion that I was not responding well to this combination of meds, so he stopped, prescribing the estrogen for the rest of my cycles. If it wasn’t for me feeling sick, I probably would have done it because I think it did help to even out the follicle sizes. Let me know if you have any other questions or if you ever need to chat. Happy to share ❤️
@hellynn_j Hi Hellyn! Thank you so much for creating this channel and for responding to my question! I've been following your journey for a while now and am wishing you nothing but the best! Your insights along the way have been invaluable. I hope you don't mind, but I have some additional questions for you that might benefit others as well. My doctor wants me to take the estrogen pills for 7-10 days before my period (dont know when that will be bc i just had egg retrieval) and stop taking them as soon as I start the stim meds. I'm hoping this doesn't make me sick. 1) Do you think the estrogen pills caused you to not have develop any blastocytes during your 4th cycle? Or do you attribute that moreso to C19 virus? 2) Do you remember the reason your doctor gave for dividing your doses of Follistim? You said 225iu in morning and 125iu in evening? The nurse i spoke to at my fertility clinic says she's never heard of this practice of dividing the doses. 3) Did you have your AMH checked at the start of each menstrual cycle to determine if it was an optimal month to start stims? For example, if it wasn't as high during month 2, you forego IVF for that month. Then, the following month, maybe your AMH is higher, so you move forward with stimming? Did you find that back-to-back IVF cycles netted you the highest quantity of mature eggs retrieved vs. selecting IVF months based on the AMH level for that month compared to others? 4)Looking back, if you had to start this process all over again from ground zero, what treatment plan would you have pursued/which do you feel your body responded to the best? Thank you so much for all your efforts to help the infertility community. I look forward to your responses.
Thanks so much for sharing your journey! I also have DOR. Do you mind sharing what - if anything you did different in your third cycle which led to more eggs retrieved: protocol, diet and supplements. This info would be very helpful as I also prepare for my third cycle and hope to improve my outcomes. Thanks so much!
Hi there, nice to meet you! My first two cycles, I did a low dose stim or mini IVF, but my third cycle my doctor raised my dosage of Follitrope (Korean meds, but basically FSH) from 150iu per day to 225iu in the morning and 150iu in the evening. Towards the end, we saw multiple follicles and a dominant follicle so we went back down to 150iu. It's important to continue to scan and adjust the meds according to how your follicles are reacting. Other than that, I added more antioxidants like vitamin E and acai berry to my supplements, but I think more than anything it was the back to back cycles (meds from previous cycles accumulated) and the strong dose of FSH for that round. Not all women with DOR respond well to high doses though. I also stopped drinking caffeine that cycle, got more sleep, and went on daily walks. I think i focused a lot on my mental wellbeing more than anything. Let me know if you need anything, I wish you all the luck in the world❤
@@hellynn_j you’re the best. Thanks so much for your reply! That makes sense you got a better response with back to back cycles, I’ve been thinking the same. I had zero eggs retrieved in my first two cycles (despite having 3-4 follicles), but my latest round I was able to get 3! So I’m hopeful for more better outcomes. Thanks so much for your story with us and I wish you all the success - you’re already doing great!
@@p0sitivevibes826 Thank you so much for your kind message! Yes, its a tough journey but we just need to have a little faith❤ Maybe you can try my doc/clinic at Cha Fertility Center in Gangnam as I have been able to do back to back retrievals. My HSG was easy peasy. My saline sonogram was actually much more painful. It was like the worst period cramps ever for a minute. Haha
