thank you, sir! I've owned this camera for nearly 4 years and have hardly touched it due to its complexity and my lack of photography background! This is exactly the type of tutorial I needed. cheers!
I don't know what I would have done without your tutorials. I've had my camera for one year and I'm still reviewing/learning everything by constantly viewing them. This is a special treat and I can't wait to see more in the series. Thank you so much.
This was the only decent camera under $400 used I could find. I'm binge watching these videos now to learn about it now. How do you like yours now? Do you still use it?
Thank you so much for these tutorials. I have only ever had a point and shoot, with a little zoom. The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS19. After a trip to Alaska, I knew I needed an upgrade. I have only had my new FZ1000 for a couple of days and using your tutorials, I’m so thrilled with my new camera. I’m going back to Alaska in 10 days and will be experimenting with my new camera and your tutorials. Just bought your guide as well. I love that you show the back of the camera and then picture samples in the settings.
@@frederickorcutt9112 yes! I absolutely loved the camera. It was perfect for me. The right next step from a point and shoot. Your tutorials w really gave me the max use of the camera, we had lots of fog at the glacier. I got shots of mountain goats and Dall sheep on the mountain tops and even got a photo of our cruise ship 6.9 miles (11.1 km) away from the White Pass & Yukon railway. This summer I’m going to the Isle of Man and Portugal. Beautiful places to take pictures of in both places. Just bought a great new camera bag with room for my guide book, snacks, water bottle and snacks.
Recently found your tutorials on FZ200 and FZ1000, and am learning a lot. I rate these tutorials the best on line. Thank you so much for taking the time to help all us new users.
This is the kind of step-by-step tutorial I have been looking for. Love the simple explanations for every button and feature, as they help me to master the camera. I plan to re-watch when necessary and also watch more of the series. Wish more camera pros would make videos like this!
Like several other commentors before me, I have had this camera for a couple of years, and I love it, but I truly did not know how to use all the features. Your VLOG is brilliant and so helpful. Thanks so much.
Thanks for taking the time to make this tutorial, I also purchased your ebook which has helped me a lot. So as a newbie who only recently purchased this camera these reference sources have been excellent for somebody like me with limited photographic knowledge. Looking forward to the forthcoming tutorials!
Graham, Thanks for your videos. Because of you, I bought this Panasonic FZ1000, and I should say that I'm really happy with it. Incredible quality images and a lot of useful fonctions. Keep on on teaching us the best way to use it ! Regards from France !
Superb tutorial. My FZ1000 is arriving tomorrow and I'm one of those people who hates written instructions so this vid has been and will continue to be hugely useful. Thanks.

Thank you Graham for such terrific videos. I have an FZ1000, (after owning an FZ200) and i'm looking forward to the rest of your excellent work. Thanks again, you have a natural knack of highlighting the camera's many features.
Thank you for explaining so many of the options on the LUMIX FZ1000. Your videos are very helpful! I look forward to learning more about the settings on my camera.
Very good!! Just received the FZ1000 as a Christmas gift and was somewhat overwhelmed with the features on this camera. You pointed me in the right direction for me to start shooting some (what I hope are) great pics!

Thank you Graham. I have just bought this camera and I am going to really enjoy learning from you. Video #1 is very well done and I look forward to the others. Panasonic is a new experience for me but its button placement and menu options seem very practical.
Nice series.. I have surpassed the basics but mainly by learning from your early work regarding fz72 and fz200.. This series is perfect for anyone to refresh or pick up skills from newly acquired fz1000.. Loved your rant about M mode 😀 Take care.
Can i ask what you'd recommend for someone who shoots photos of furniture (large) products INSIDE homes and uses video to film parts of the build process of the pieces inside his garage? Dont care about zoom, but do like "blury background" depth of field, auto focus and something easy to use wold be nice
Thank you so much, Graham. I haven't taken many photos yet with my new FZ1000, but I am learning where all the buttons are. :) Hopefully, I'll be taking great pictures very soon.
Excellent Graham, I often use iA mode especially if I am in somewhere with poor lighting, like a museum, it does a great job most of the time, and then when back in good lighting switch back to A mode.saves me having to mess with iso,and the program seems to make a better job of it than I could!
I loved this video. You're so thorough. No need for a manual haha. Another very powerful feature I found was the custom AF Area, absolutely excellent camera.
Another excellent video Graham. Thank you. I shall be watching this series with great interest asI have a chance to play with the mkii this morning, hopefully it will help me make up my mind.
Graham, you've been a great help unlocking some of the secrets of this camera and I look forward to your videos to follow on the FZ 1000, including comparing the current model to the FZ 1000 Mk 2.

Thank you, Graham, for your helpful videos! I just gave my FZ200 to a friend and I purchased an FZ1000. I want a small tripod which is capable of standing firm even with the zoom at 400. Will a Joby 3K Pro do the job, or must I go to the 5K Pro? Thanks again! John.
Quite a few people have asked how to get the focus area as shown at the end of this video. Here's the sequence to do that. 1. from the normal shooting display press the back control wheel in twice until you see the exposure meters. 2. rotate the back control wheel either direction by 1 click 3. press the shutter button halfway down now when you press the left navigation button you can move the focus square. to cancel this mode and return to face tracking. 1. from the normal shooting display press the back control wheel in twice until you see the exposure meters. 2. press the Fn4 button
Yet another great video Graham, I have had my FZ300 for about a year now and love it, would you consider the 1000 to be an upgrade or an addition to it. The prices have dropped considerably, so am thinking of buying one, still can't afford a 2500........
Many thanks, the 2500 is more of a videographer's camera with stills mode added. I do prefer the 1000 for general shooting - the extended lens on the 2500 is hardly discrete
Graham, I would have thought that in landscape mode the camera would stop down. Instead, it is wide open with a fairly low ISO. If I were to do the settings for a landscape shot, I would go to f16, fire up anti shake, up the ISO until I got a shutter speed where I could hold the camera steady, and take the shot. The camera's settings at this point dont make sense to me. Am I missing something?
thank you, sir! I've owned this camera for nearly 4 years and have hardly touched it due to its complexity and my lack of photography background! This is exactly the type of tutorial I needed.
cheers!
Glad you found it useful, I hope the rest of my series delivers the same promise

There is no f16 on this camera but because of the cropped sensor f2.8 is equivalent to a full size sensor f8
es una lastima que no este sustitulos en español
tiene buena pinta
Great Video! Thanks!
Am seriously think of buying this for bird and wildlife photography.
Is this camera Mirrorless
