    If you're looking for a chainsaw that won't start or run, then be sure to check out this video. We'll show you how to fix your Poulan
    Found these 4 used chainsaws at a estate sale for $100 and decided to see if we could make any of them run. Started with the Poulan 2375 Wild Thing and it really did not need a lot of work. Compression was great, so I knew I had something good to start working with..
    Replaced the fuel lines, cleaned or checked the Walbro carburetor, replaced the primer bulb and she ran like a clock..

    Cutting the ends of the fuel lines for the purpose of feeding them is a golden tip. Thanks for the video!

      I think Home Depot must have sold about a million of these Wild Thing saws about 20 years ago. I just found one a couple of days ago and came here to see how to clean it up. I expect there are still a lot of these that will be passed on to the next generation.

    Just subscribed. I have a couple wild things and several other plastic Poulans. Never use those never will. I was at a auction and there was brand new looking wild thing in the plastic case. It looked like it had never been used. Wouldnt run. They tried to get $50. No takers. Kept going down. Finally I yelled $5. The Auctioneer shouted SOLD! Quick get his number before he changes his mind. Its piled up in a school bus with 50 other POS plastic chain saw's

      @@LarrySbrusch I just fired it up. When I took the cover off, the gas line had become disconnected from the carburetor. I reconnected it, cleaned off the plug and she fired right up. The only part I will need to replace is the air filter. One last thing. Can you tell me how to verify if the automatic oiler is working?

    • @LarrySbrusch
      @LarrySbrusch  3 роки тому

      Really not a sure fire way. Best to put some oil in it and run it a couple of minutes. You should see sign of oil at bottom of chain by case

    Wire from a long twist tie like what comes with trash bags is useful to feed line through to tank. Tightly wrap or tie twistie tie to fuel line. Then feed it through. Grab and pull with one hand while other hand feeds line through

    I am replacing my fuel lines and primer bulb where the old ones had rotted away. I am using your video as reference and have a walbro wt324 carb. if the fuel line from the tank goes to the top nipple then does the suction side of primer bulb go to the bottom nipple? You didn't show that. Then the long nipple on primer bulb goes back to larger hole in tank. correct?

    • @LarrySbrusch
      @LarrySbrusch  Рік тому +1

      If you are not sure which one is which. Put a piece of hose on one nipple at a time and the other in a small cup of gas. Hit the primer bulb and one will suck and one will push

    I fixed mine yesterday and the fuel filter was on the fatter of the hoses. If I could make a suggestion is to show the hose routing from the primer bulb to the carb. I know when I took mine apart my hoses were like this one all missing from the fuel.

    I had a 2013 Poulan Pro. They're made by Husqvarna which is a shame because Husqvarna is a good saw. The Poulans Pro and Wild Things whatever are pieces of crap. They have the worse air filter setup on the planet. They have a engine seal issue that causes a lost of issues. Poor idle, hard starting, suddenly increase throttle speed without touching the throttle, and so. If someone wants to buy this junk, more power to them. They'd be better off buying a different brand name or go cordless. Alit less problems long term. I gave my to someone for parts. Too many issues.
