U gotta play dishonored series they go on sale for about 5 bucks and batman arkam series they go for 5 bucks too or 10 for the whole colection when its on sale theres alot of good cheap games the go for under 5 bucks look at the deals they have goin on

I've had my ps4 for 7 years now and it still works just about fine it may take a while to load games and hard to play with my friends sometimes but im just greatful for what i have because i know most people would love to have a gaming console

I used to think the same, that my ps4 is enough. But once I bought my lovely ps5 slim earlier this year, I change my mind... It's definitely worth the update! And my ps4 sits comfortably in my drawer and I might want to use it like once a month or so. @@KaidePH

I just got an original PS4 last week from a pawn shop for $60.
It was "as-is" with "disk issues" written on the tag (I only blasted it with compressed air and wiped it down with isopropyl alcohol and a micro-fiber rag, but the warranty seals were in-tact and the console was unopened) and it began reading discs just fine.
I also added a 1 TB WD Blue SSD ($45 with taxes out the door) to replace the 10 year old 500GB Samsung HDD, and a $3.99 wired PS4 controller found at a thrift store.
Also got a physical copy of Gran Turismo 7, and the console hasn't had a single issue yet.
I bought one year and a half ago for £180 from CEX here in England. Will keep it until it stops working

I've had my ps4 normal one for 7 years now. it works PERFECT. no scratches no lag no stick drift its literally in perfect condition without needing to repair it

Ps4 gotta be my fav console, so much memories of great games played, GoW, Horizon Zero dawn, and my personal favorite, Gravity Rush 2, Im still fond of that game.
Gravity Rush is such an underrated series. Seriously hope it makes a comeback someday.

PS4 is definitely worth it. I hooked up my 2019 slim again and it still runs like a dream. I also went to Walmart and bought Ghost Recon Wild lands and Red Dead Redemption 2. I even have some of my old games still in my digital library
i’ve had my star wars edition ps4 since i was 8. i’m now 17 and it’s still running perfectly. my best friend and i still play fifa on it everytime she comes over

it just becomes the starting model with the older games, like how the ps4 is 30fps without 4k (excluding pro models) and has a bit lower storage and weaker hardware, and the ps5 has all the next gen games, improved graphics, 60fps and default 4k

i had my ps4 slim since release and this console is crazy. I will just say it, ps4 has to be one of the best user interfaces ive ever seen for a console that isnt the most user friendly now will i recommend. It really depends, its really showing its age if u want to play sony exclusives for cheap then go for it is a goated console. Its pretty slow sometimes but i still play on it to this day but i am gonna be upgrading to a ps5 slim digital soon enough.

I played on an OG PS4 since 2015 which wasn’t mine till I got my own PS4 Slim in 2019, I was really happy with it and played on it nonstop everyday even though I had to start off fresh with games like Fortnite. I used it for 4 years till I got my PS5 almost a year ago, I still have my PS4 which runs fine but has hardware defects which I removed such as 1 of the USB ports not working and the disc drive stopped reading discs which I removed aswell. Performance though it runs normal atleast
Bought mine brand new since 2018 and still playing. I'm gonna keep it even when I get a ps5 or xeries x.

From my experience it works very well and I've been playing it for years 7 on my ps4
I’ve had my PS4 Slim since 2016 and 8 years later, it’s still kickin’. My games run good and the quality is good too. The only issue is how much storage I have. Still haven’t got a hard-drive for it.
just get yourself an external SSD 2 TB and you will find a big difference in the loading and also loading the texture and details in the game. Also if you have your PS4 connected with the Internet cord and helps out a lot.
@@MarcShorty23 True. I also swapped the HDD inside my brand new slim, --> to 1TB SSD. Loading times aren't that crazy faster, but it still feels smoother and more fluid. Love it.
@@The500kyeah going ssd it’s always better and not using wifi connecting directly is also a lot better it load the games faster in multiplayer 😊👍👌
Same but my PS4 slim has a problem turn off by itself after 10 to 15 minutes
@@ps-lover8380 Definitely sounds like some kind of overheating problem. But if it's not, maybe the hard drive is failing. Other than that, I cannot say. There's loads of help and guides out there tho.
Got my Ps4 Slim during Christmas 2019. I played it 24/7 during lockdown and I had many great memories with friends on PlayStation. I stopped using my Ps4 back when I built my PC during Christmas 2021, but now I got a Ps5 which I use a lot now.
I think in 2024, the Ps5 is a much better option since you could play Ps4 games on the Ps5, plus games are no longer going to bed made for Ps4. And Ps5's are becoming cheaper and more accessible now. I still have friends who never upgraded to a Ps5 and they're still enjoying the games available on the Ps5. I am planning on transferring my photos/videos from my Ps4 to my PC NAS then going to rather give my Ps4 away or put it in the basement somewhere.

I got the ps4 slim since 2018 if I remember correctly. And it was brand new then and I still use it today but development, updates and games have slowed suggesting that Sony is planning on ending support for it by 2026. I mostly use it for movies these days. And sometimes I play games on it and it still runs good. PS5 is next level and it’s the better console. I hope they don’t end support for it too soon.
Alsoİ got mine at 2018-2019 had a lot of fun but i cant really play online none of the online games work to theres something wrong with Hole that you put the disc in ive been actually thinking about getting an Xbox series s but at the same time i still love the PS4 and wanna play the exclusives

I got my ps4 normal one at 2016 and it was after my Xbox 360. I still have both after I bought a ps5 in 2022. I think ps4 does well for its time. Ps4 is still good to this day

ps4 still good. the leap between ps3 and ps4 was BIG. PS4 still holds up because 1080p is still excellent graphics.

The Ps3 was capable of 1080p it's just game devs at the time didn't take advantage of a lot of the Ps3 hardware
As such most games with expection of a few were 720p that were upsaceled. The leap from PS2 TO PS3 was far bigger than the PS3 TO PS4, The PS3 could play blu rays the same that ps4 can, truly ahead of its time.

I paid 129 usd for mine but if it's brand new ig it's okay if not you can try price negotiate with the seller btw u should take care of your game make sure you have arctic mx 6 / 4 thermal pace ,cottons swabs , rubbing alcohol, and id recommend giving it a cleanup ever 6 months if you hear any noise.

Still a pretty capable console even now I bought a second hand ps4 pro from facebook for 100$ it has 2 controllers and the usual cables, ended up swapping the drive for a 4TB ssd holds up all my games perfectly
I got mine last Friday I'm pretty happy with it cost 120 came with a TV a few games and the console and a external 1000 gb hard drive

ill be totally honest, its only when you upgrade to the p5 that you notice the difference. I played on my p4 till last year until my friend let me borrow his p5 and I couldn't go back lol I built a pc because of it, but the p5 really spoils you but the p4 is still a beast today.
The comments make me realize just how lucky I am for having a PS4 Pro even tho this last year I've been using my gaming Laptop a lot more and I hope to pick up the PS5 slim when GTA 6 comes out but I'm very gracious and happy to be able to have an enjoyable experience with gaming

Good video. One wrong information is that PS4 Pro supports 4K Blu-ray discs. This is true only for PS5. Consoles from PS4 generation that support 4K discs are XBOX One and One X.

I believe the One S supports 4k streaming and 4k discs, but not the OG Xbox One
I've had my PS4 for 9 years and in December of this year it'll turn 10 years old.
I have over 200 unplayed single-player games on my PS4, but I kept getting stuck on fighting games and sports games. Now my PS5 games are also piling up as well If one game took 40 hours to complete, and I only played 4 hours a week, It'll take me 2000 weeks or 38 years. So yes, it is still worth it.

In fact i bought one with a psvr for a good price and i don't regret it.
I think a console remains relevant far beyond its life cycle as long as you are trying to play games released during its period.
Heres a tip you can make your ps4 load games faster and graphics better by just buying a ssd i did it and its a life changer! But not all games will come to the old gen sadly
i still use mine, but ill switch too ps5 soon, for more performance and better download rate. the old ps4 will still be used then

Thanks for this! I actually own a PS5. Got my PS4 in 2020 new with an extra PS4 dualshock controller for $200 bucks. (While waiting for the PS5) Long story short I keep going back to the PS4. Recently upgraded the hdd to an ssd 1tb. Got more Games for it. I have six official dualshock 4 controllers. Two more games and I'm at 215 Games!
Should I get a mint condition 1tb PS4 pro or a near new condition 500gb PS4 slim ? I am planning on upgrading to SSD ,I have 4k tv and take into account the noise that those consoles make
@@nt8538Go for the pro. You’ll see a massive difference with an SSD when using a pro compared to the slim and the pro supports 4K. Noise though the slim is quieter yet it can still be loud

I purchased a Slim off of Amazon too, the price is pretty bad and the console arrived with a beat up Case shell. It works like brand new but I had to purchase a new case cover. I wouldn’t buy a console off Amazon
I have had a PS4 for 9 years now and it works perfectly okay. All the supported games run 45+ fps and good enough graphics for me. I main fortnite which I can play at 60fps with no frame drops. Overall amazing console. No PC would have been able to run these games 11 years after launch.

i have ps4 slim sice 2018 i think games i play is warzone and fortnite sometimes in warzone i have the same problem with the grafic that it is not loaded so overall i think its good for kids or some not difficult games.

As someone who actually wants a ps5 but his feed has been full of ps3 videos, but can't afford it right now and barely has half the money for it, I would still go for a ps5, I'm saving up for one. It's going to be my first Playstation. I have a Xbox one s and it's OK but I don't like long loading screens and games take forever to install. It's just too slow for me. I should've asked for a ps5 for Christmas instead of the other stuff if I'm being quite honest. I experienced the ps5 over the summer and it was fantastic, yes everybody been saying it barely has any games but it has perfectly enough games for me so I'm fine with it. It would be amazing to play sonic generations in 4k 60fps on console

Gave my PS4 Slim so they can play Fortnite and Sims4. But I replaced the 500GB hard drive with a 1TB SSD drive. Of course you have to pre-format it with Sony Software but so much faster loading times.
if you really arent bothered about performance and just play for the fun of it or like story games a ps4 is a cheap option which is still relatively great

You should really think about whether you want to pick one up. It’s practically obsolete because the PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 except it can run the games at higher resolutions and better frame rates. If you absolutely insist on getting a PS4, at least get the pro model and upgrade it with an SSD. It’s miles better than regular PS4s.

In 2022 I bought a used ps4 cause I didn’t have money it was honestly a pretty good console! But last year I got my self a new Xbox series X and in my opinion I like the Xbox more but they are both great consoles and definitely a ban for your buck!

For some games, such as Rainbow Six Siege, you will have to pay for a PS Plus subscription to play online.
