the PS3 lasted shorter when PS4 released than the PS4 did when PS5 released. That is because the PS4 sold more consoles due to it being a big upgrade and easy availability. Now here's the thing. The reason they abandoned PS3 earlier was because the player base of PS3 a few years after PS4 released wasn't large enough to justify downgrading games just for it run on PS3 too. However the same can't be said for PS4 as because of it's 120 million consoles sold, the player base is large enough such that game companies can't afford to lose such a large player base just for upgrading the games to ensure full potential of the PS5. Hence why so less PS5 exclusive games are released nowadays and why they still make games for PS4 after PS5 for much longer than they made games for PS3 after ps4. Like I remember they started declining in PS3 games production around 2 years after PS4 release but its been around 4 years now since PS5 release and they still make games for PS4 like cod bo6 and god of war Ragnarok which are PS4 games though they released recently. Now here's where I come to my theory. Basically I feel like this time when the ps6 releases, the PS5 would have the same treatment as PS3 did when PS4 released. Since the PS5 player base wasn't as large and PS4 player base, hence they might still make games for PS5 for maybe max like 1 year after ps6 releases after which they would realized it's not worth still making games downgraded just for the PS5 since it's player base is very small and they can afford to lose sales for maximising games potential on ps6. In fact I feel like the ps5 might have games made for it after ps6even less than PS3 had games for it after PS5 since PS3 player base was kind of large (but it'll way smaller than PS4).

I played on an OG PS4 since 2015 which wasn’t mine till I got my own PS4 Slim in 2019, I was really happy with it and played on it nonstop everyday even though I had to start off fresh with games like Fortnite. I used it for 4 years till I got my PS5 almost a year ago, I still have my PS4 which runs fine but has hardware defects which I removed such as 1 of the USB ports not working and the disc drive stopped reading discs which I removed aswell. Performance though it runs normal atleast
Then, discard the PS5 as if it were a PS1 and retain the PS4 Slim-it's a straightforward solution. I would unquestionably do the same or alternatively keep the PS4 Slim and acquire a PC, thereby having two superior gaming devices.
I got the ps4 slim since 2018 if I remember correctly. And it was brand new then and I still use it today but development, updates and games have slowed suggesting that Sony is planning on ending support for it by 2026. I mostly use it for movies these days. And sometimes I play games on it and it still runs good. PS5 is next level and it’s the better console. I hope they don’t end support for it too soon.

Sadly, this is how enthusiasts of the PS5, influenced by the most absurd and unattractive console, often treat the PS4. They dismiss the PS4 as if it were a PS1, when they should instead retain it and invest in a PC, thereby enjoying the benefits of two superior gaming devices.
I had my ps4 slim since 2017 and bought recently ps5 slim. The 7 years with ps4 were so good and the difference between the ps4 and ps5 just got visible since 2023.If you dont have enough money, then the ps4 is a good Choice with masterpiece games.

I just love the times when i grab some snacks and drinks, and start playing mk with some of my family members, we always compete😅!
I have over 200 unplayed single-player games on my PS4, but I kept getting stuck on fighting games and sports games. Just let it go bruh 😭😭😭😭 Xbox series s is 160-200 Euros second-hand and MILES better, also ps4 is 11 years old...
@spheal6243 I'm getting a PS5 next year until GTA VI releases.
@@Unknown94731 If you're waiting to buy a ps5 till gta 6 releases you may aswell never buy a ps5 😭
@@Hambaas And I'm still getting it
I played on an OG PS4 since 2015 which wasn’t mine till I got my own PS4 Slim in 2019, I was really happy with it and played on it nonstop everyday even though I had to start off fresh with games like Fortnite.
@@random_person233 no point as I already gave my PS4 away to my brother and I already have a PC
1:42 the cat❤
That’s a car
1:08 just so you know you don't need a prying tool to open the top, just pull the front side by side and ur good
I got the ps4 slim since 2018 if I remember correctly.
Alsoİ got mine at 2018-2019 had a lot of fun but i cant really play online none of the online games work to theres something wrong with Hole that you put the disc in ive been actually thinking about getting an Xbox series s but at the same time i still love the PS4 and wanna play the exclusives
Wdym by ending support? Will the digital store on ps4 still available in 2024?
Im getting a ps4 this year for my birthday im insanely excited rn
Bros acting like the ps4 is 100 years old😭
It is 11 years old, soo….
@@DaACTUALLYREALReddie which is 89 less than 100 years so...

Im having PS4 slim with 1tb
Yeh the noise is Like a jet but still working fine, not planing to change it till it comes out the ps5pro
Uh oh
I have got a first ever Play Station for my 9 years old son on his birthday and it's a refurbished PS4. Hopefully he will enjoy it.
i still use mine, but ill switch too ps5 soon, for more performance and better download rate. the old ps4 will still be used then
I had my ps4 slim since 2017 and bought recently ps5 slim. The 7 years with ps4 were so good and the difference between the ps4 and ps5 just got visible since 2023.If you dont have enough money, then the ps4 is a good Choice with masterpiece games.
Thanks for this video bro❤
1:56 bro that nostalgia, i lost my ps4 a few years ago, it was my childhood. Absolutely loved playing the PSVR playroom game with my brother, just wish I could find it again
Damn good job you got ur video recommended
this year i finaly switched to PC, and personaly i use the ps4 for local games like mortal combat. It's a great console if you want to have fun with your family or friends! I just love the times when i grab some snacks and drinks, and start playing mk with some of my family members, we always compete😅!
I just got my ps4 ive always wanted a consle so this is amazing and i will keep playing on it until i cant like a good amount of years🎉🎉❤😂😂
I love my ps4. Sometimes, when I get new games, it takes a while to install, but I'm just happy for what u have
I have
Waht best in graphics ps4 slim or xbox series s
Xbox Series S
The console still shockingly holds well in 2024 😮 good video broda👽🖐️
For PS4 strongly recommend to replace stock HDD to SSD. This simple upgrade much improve loading time and overall comfort of using console.
This is especially the case for the PS4 Pro, which has a full bandwidth SATA 3 connection.
@@owdoogamesI didn’t know that. Good to know.
Since purchasing my PS4 Slim, I have exclusively used an HDD and have yet to try an SSD.
This helped me a lot im thinking on getting a ps4 just looking at the proformance and this guy is what I use for good reviews
Hello very good video❤Do you think FC 24 is Gonna perform well?
From my experience it works very well and I've been playing it for years 7 on my ps4
I have over 200 unplayed single-player games on my PS4, but I kept getting stuck on fighting games and sports games. Now my PS5 games are also piling up as well If one game took 40 hours to complete, and I only played 4 hours a week, It'll take me 2000 weeks or 38 years. So yes, it is still worth it.
Im gonna buy one soon🙂
After all these years finally❤
If you're not going with the pro model, definitely pick a Slim then, - its way quieter and cooler than the "fat" one. I hope you'll get one soon!
@@The500k thank you bro❤️
@@01_r25 or just have a little more patience and get the ps5 or if u just want to game in the meantime while saving for smth better then go for it still has some years left
@@sippin1486 yah, i haven't tried any console games till now and depending on my budjet I have more priorities, so I'm buying it to experience the old games for a bit
So did u buy it? If so it is the original, slim or pro
I bought a ps4 last week. The first game which i played was uncharted 4. Also bought god of war. I was waiting for this moment from 2018. The games look soo good while playing 😍
La Ps4 vraiment une console pas encore finie apparamment , si non très bonne vidéo
I got mine last Friday I'm pretty happy with it cost 120 came with a TV a few games and the console and a external 1000 gb hard drive
xbox series s cost 250 new and has 120 fps
At 720p maybe .
The $375 Ps5 slim is a better deal . 1440p/60fps is better than 720p/120fps anyday .
Not to forget the fact that we can use discs in PS4, which will be less costly
@@CaptainThunder Sometimes. PS Store has some great sales lately .
this is a legendary console. it was my first console i got it in 2019(when i was 10 years old) and it still works
Yes. The answer is Yes.
Honestly, it doesn’t really matter if it’s worth buying still, if you want it, you want it. Nobody is stopping you unless Sony just doesn’t sell PS4’s anymore.
I'm saving up for ps4
Save up for a PS4 and also invest in a PC, so you have two devices for gaming.
I've been thoroughly enjoying my PS4 Slim since 2017, and particularly the VR experience and I've got a lot of VR games to the PS4 slim and find them extremely fun and cool, especially since many of them are exclusive but they do got a VR to the PS5 but I still rock on my PS4 VR.
No real point since the ps5 plays almost every single ps4 game.
Ps4 is way cheaper and can still run most games. I would say a ps4 is still better value. Especially because of how expensive Ps5's are in some regions.
@@goatguythepowerful To be fair I didn't realize the PS4 finally dropped in price lol. I know when the PS5 came out the PS4 was still selling for like $300 lol.
@@KratosAurionPlays Ya. Even buying it brand new now is still pretty expensive. But getting it used will most likely get you the most value.
The only reason I'm buying a PS4 slim over a PS4 is because the price is absurd
But that piece tag on ps5 bro...think bout that for a sec.
I’ve had my ps4 fat since launch (I have a ps5 now) and when I try to play games it gets extremely loud
I, willbuy ps4 instead of ps5
I agree with you ps4 is worth buying in 2024
Same
@@akosbaranyi5866 I love my ps4 more than ever
With the same price you can get pc that performs 50% better or higher and it's a pc so you can optimise your games so you get much better performance than the ps4 ...
@@High5AlltimeNo you can't
I bought a base PS4 last year and had been using it for a year. I bought ROG Ally to replace it because many games just run better on Ally and I have eye strain when playing on TV. I only play 30 minutes at a time and Ally is the perfect gaming device for me now.
Just get a PS5 it's basically a PS4 Pro on steroids and a PS5 buying a ps4 in 2024 is a waste of money unless you're buying one of the limited edition ones for collection purposes.
How dare you disrespect the PS4 like that-such rudeness! Instead, why not let the PC show some disdain for the absurd and inferior PS5?
Heres a tip you can make your ps4 load games faster and graphics better by just buying a ssd i did it and its a life changer! But not all games will come to the old gen sadly

Got a PS4 slim in February enjoying it so far so many good games to play 😊
I bought a ps3 slim last july i almost finished the last of us 83% complete its jailbroken because im too broke to buy disc games
i recently purchased an xbox one for around £50(prob about $70) and even though i have an xbox series x i didnt regret it,it works at a decent level for older games and is perfect for a youtube/spotify/cd dvd player:)
ill be totally honest, its only when you upgrade to the p5 that you notice the difference. I played on my p4 till last year until my friend let me borrow his p5 and I couldn't go back lol I built a pc because of it, but the p5 really spoils you but the p4 is still a beast today.
thank you i am going to buy a ps4 that is new but i wasn't sure. Thank you for reasuring
Great video and agree! I got the ps4 pro, and it runs games without issues.
Important correction on end of video though, PS4 Pro does Not play 4K Bluray movies...
I have had a PS4 for 9 years now and it works perfectly okay. All the supported games run 45+ fps and good enough graphics for me. I main fortnite which I can play at 60fps with no frame drops. Overall amazing console. No PC would have been able to run these games 11 years after launch.
I have had mine for 8 years, and it works the same as yours :)
I’ve had my ps4 for almost 6 years and it works perfectly fine
When will the servers die? I am think i will buy it in 2025 you think its worth?

I got a ps3, i honestly think its good for hard core single player type people, i got decently good graphics compared to latest

if you really arent bothered about performance and just play for the fun of it or like story games a ps4 is a cheap option which is still relatively great
PS4 has nostalgia for me, my dad had a ps4 original which I always played on then he bought me a ps4 slim in 2019/18 I believe.
Just dropped on a ps4 pro 1tb glacier for £80. Seems to be working perfectly, so fingers crossed.
I got a pretty good deal on a PS4 Slim 1TB at $122 on Facebook Marketplace, I was happy to finally get a console I'm even considering getting a S5 next month
Depends on the price. I would buy it but not for the full price. 🤷♂️
In fact i bought one with a psvr for a good price and i don't regret it.
I still have P.T. on my PS4. Unless I find a way to move it to my PS5, I'll never get rid of it
