@@ringside_chronicles Dustin vs Dan is my favorite by far. Both absolute dogs but Dan was never the same after this fight unfortunately. You should really check Guram Kutateladze vs Elves Brenar if you haven't seen it earlier in the year. Some of the best comebacks I've ever witnessed!
Never felt more conflicted in life when two of your favourite fighters are fighting each other. I was jumping when Islam sub him but 5 seconds after I felt so sad knowing this was his last dance for the belt. MMA is a sport where you have to destroy another man’s dream to reach yours.
idk, dude i have been watching ufc for only a year at this point and ufc 302 was the first i watched live on tv. by then dustin has been by far my favourite fighter and human being . next after him was khabib and anyone he taught. i watched the run up to the fight, the weigh ins , all first time watching live on tv, knowing dustin might not make it past islam. but i still had hope, even tho knowing khabibs camp wasnt something easy. watched all of the fights, on the card, saw him walk out, my first and probably his last. saw him fight, struggle and live throught those rounds. saw the fourth round happen, and finally saw the end happen. knew it was coming but still didnt. listening to him answer joe rogan . time has passed since but its a memory. happy or sad, its burned into my memory.
When Dustin woke up after Islam choked him out, one of the first people to cheer him up was Khabib. Khabib raised his hands and told Dustin what a great athlete he was. This shows there is sportsmanship in the sport, and people like Khabib are blessings to UFC. He is a great role model.
@@aduriteking2155 yep i watched that. every moment in this fight now brings a tear to my eyes. such a brilliant display of respect and quality from both sides
Not a single boring fight ever from the Diamond 💎
Some of my all time favorite fights are from Dustin Poirier - Like his fight against Dan Hooker was absolutely crazy

@@anonimoseponimos780 Thanks for that suggestion. I just watched the fight and it was absolutely awesome
Dustin you can still do it
@gallonthegreat7036 do you think he will fight again or is this it?
@@ringside_chronicles I think he's gonna go out with a W
For the title ever again ? Idk
@@gallonthegreat7036that would be awesome if he could end his career on a win. But I'm not sure he will fight again if it isn't for the belt.
@@ringside_chronicles I think he should do a retirement match where he's gonna retire no matter the result but he's too great to not leave on a win

Exactly how I felt also 😔
@@ringside_chroniclesthat’s literally every other sport, you have to destroy someone else’s dreams to achieve your own.
to make his last fight more sad, Guillotine and D'arche choke is Dustin's favorite choke
thats very well said.
