- Brad Evans, Trail Boss of Florida Trail Stompers does an unboxing, install and review of the Gatekeeper Off-Road Knuckle Pod Mount.
To see the install of the AuxBeam RGB 8 Gang Switch panel that the lights are tied into, • AuxBeam RGB 8 Gang Swi... .
Pro Tip: Point the lights so the beams cross. This eliminates the huge shadows thrown by the tires, and even lights up the ditches.
Awesome video! The mounts all come powder coated now as well! Thanks for the review!
Thank you. It was a pleasure. Great products!
Is there room to run the wiring straight back from the light? I have a light with a pretty stiff wiring harness that needs about 2” clearance straight back.
On this particular Dana 30 axle , yes there was room behind the light. Just can't go with to big of a light housing..gotta stay under about 3 inch pod or less
They are great, but don't know what year that jeep is but now they have slots cut out for abs wires, don't see them on this one, only on driver side had to unplug asb and route in cutout on bracket
What is the torque on the bolts after installation? In the video you snug them only.
TORQUE to manufacturer specifications.
Is this only for Jeep because I would love to mount this on my 2016 Tundra
You may want to contact them. I see 4Runners and Tacos on their site.
What lights did you use? Do you have a link? I’m having a hard time finding some that fit that aren’t crazy price.
I’ll have Brad comment back to let you know what he used.
I used an Amazon special for the install..and yeah it takes a smaller light..2inch or so. The plan was to upgrade the light later down the road but the Amazon special has worked rather well since the install. Haven't changed it yet..but I will say these brackets are awesome, big change to the look of the rig at night and they even work great as a daytime running light as well
Uuuhhh… what did they look like on the road!
I’ll get Brad to upload some road footage. They look awesome. Sorry we didn’t include it in the video. We were under a deadline.
As far as how they shine on the road, it's good but will only be as good as the quality of light you chose to go with.
